  1. Ouch. Guess you should have eaten? Personally I always eat when I fall below the point where the food I have will be used completely, with no HP wasted. What was the point in letting your HP drop that low in the first place? I do agree though, you should be able to come and get your stuff back. It would be nice if they put the graves outside of the GWD doors too... heck, maybe it could show a [brief!] scene to you where the boss tosses you out. Why not? :D
  2. This information isn't entirely accurate, it's as far as I can remember. A level or two might have been gotten trying out random things, ect. [hide=Warning]Attack- RSC: 1-10ish was on stuff like goblins and men and anything else I can find. 10-30 was on cows, 30 to around 50 was on dark wizards. RS2: 50-60 on hill giants, 60-65 on slayer, 65-75 on basilisks, 75-85 on slayer/dagganoths/dust devils/bandits, 85-99 was PC'd. Strength- RSC: Pretty much same as attack. RS2: Same as attack, except 80-95 was on dust devils/bandits/slayer. Defence- Same as above, except I only did basilisks to 70 def. 70-75 was dagganoths, 75-93 was slayer/dust devils/bandits. Hp- Haha, can't remember exactly where I got all the levels since this can be trained by all of the combat stats. Significantly though, I got 92-98 chinning to 99 range. 98-99 was mostly slayer; got the last 180k on rock lobsters. Range- RSC: Got 15 with cows, 15-25 on dwarves, RS2: 25-40 on cows, 40-60 on rock crabs, 60-70 on fire giants, 70-80 on blue dragons, some entire levels from fight caves, and slayer. 80-85 from slayer. 85-99 chinned. Mage- Ugh, I've done so many random things with magic I can't even give level ranges. Can't remember what I did, but I got 42 in RSC. From then to about 50 I cursed, then to ~60 I used crumble undead (before it got nerfed -.-). After that it was pretty much a really random combination of hi-alching, metal dragons (NEVER a dragon drop), barrows, and some rock lob bursting. Mostly alching I think. Prayer- As a noob I buried every bone I could find. I seem to remember hanging out in lumbridge to collect bones from duelers. From about 30-37 (paralyze monster), though, I buried bones found in one of the caves in the Feldip hills... the one with nightshade growing in it. Not sure if those spawns are there in RS2 or not. Anyway, from there to about 46 I buried all of the big bones I could get from hill giants. 46-60 Was ecto-ing dragon bones, and 60-80 was using gilded alter. RuneCrafting- Airs till I could do waters, then waters till fires, fires till cosmics, then cosmics till nats. 44-56 nats using duel rings and gnome gliders, 56-80 was nats using abyss, 80-91 was ZMI'd, 91-95 was abyss and 95-96 using spirit ghrakks, still going strong, made 20k nats just this morning. Construction- Hmm... mostly random low level stuff like normal-wood chairs, bookcases, ect. When I could make oak dining tables I flatpacked those using the maid until 50, then using butler to about 55, then I learned about the oak larder method so I started using demon; so 50-74 was doing that. Agility- RSC: Gnome course till whatever level you need to to barb course, then that till about 40 agility. RS2: Agility arena to about 45, 45-50 barb course. 50-65ish was wildy course, 65-73 was done in ape atoll. Herblore- RSC: Wasn't much of an herbalist. Think I got like 25 mixing attack/strength pots or something. RS2: I got like 37 from one small favor lamps, and serum 207'd to 45 for legends req. From then to 60 it was mostly super attack pots and prayer potions. 60-70 was super energies. Thieving- RSC:Men till' farmers, farmers, till' guards, guards to about 55, RS2: 55-60 in rogues den, 60-76 PP. Crafting- RSC: Random pottery, glassmaking, jewlery, and leatherworking. I have little clue here. All I know is that from 62-84 I did green dhide bodies. Fletching- RSC: Cutting down trees and making them into arrow shafts, then eventually short and then longbows. I think I eventually moved to gnome stronghold and picked flax, spun it, and strung the bows. Had like 40 by RS2: 40-50 ish on oak longs, at some point I started making willow longs; did that until 70. 70-99 was mostly yew longs, a few k magic longs here and there. Slayer- Did burthope assignments to about 30. Edge to around 50. Then Charladar (sp?) to 65. 65-80 was mostly duradel, with some Char. 80-81 Sumona. Hunting- Day of Release: Lots of birds; at some point I started catching a snowy butterfly every time it spawned; did that until I could do falconry. After: At some point I started normal chins, did that to 63. 63-70 red chins. Mining- RSC: Mined tin, copper, and iron for smithing until I could do coal, then I mined coal/some powermining iron to 50ish mining. I got my first D long by mining 500 coal. 50-72 Was mostly iron then granite powermining, though 70-71 was entirely from abyss Rcing. Smithing- RSC: Bronze stuff to 15, iron stuff till steel, and steel stuff to 45. RS2: Gold ores to about 62. Then steel platebodies to 73. Fishing- RSC: Shrimp till tuna, tuna till lobs, lobs till swordies. Swordies to 60 Back in the day this was my primary source of cash. RS2: Swordies till fishing guild, then more swordies to 68. 68-78 monkfish, 78-82 powerfishing in f2p when I lost members. Cooking- RSC: Ahh memories. My first favorite skill. I remember doing lots of little things like bread, meat pies, and stew until I could get into the cooking guild. I did everything from scratch. After that I did apple pies in the cooking guild to around 45 cooking. Then I got smart and started fishing for money; cooked all of my fish, though. That got me around 55 cooking. RS2: Cooking swordfish to around 65. Then after that it was lobs all the way to 99, with the odd k's of monkfish and sharks mixed in there. Firemaking- RSC: Downing normal trees and torching them until 40. RS2: 40-60 willows, 60-99 maples. Woodcutting- RSC: Lots of cutting for FM and fleching. That got me 45 WC. RS2: 45-82 Willows, willows, and more willows. Tried yews briefly, bored me. Farming- Piddly allotments to like 15, then ToG to 50. 50-55 allotments, 55-70 maple trees. Summoning- All of the best pouches I could make.[/hide]
  3. The difference between a revenant and a 130+ with a GS and steel titan is that the latter has some discretion for who he attacks. Players can choose who they attack and who they won't, and further there were times of day when there were less players online because many of them were sleeping. Revenants, on the other hand, are ruthless, tireless, merciless killing machines.
  4. There are times it has been useful to advertise. Anytime I need some item that there isn't normally much of a market for, it's useful, because you never know, in the dozens of people at the exchange one of them might just have the item you need in their bank. If you're trying to buy a severely undervalued item for GE price though, good luck :P
  5. Look at the player in the Ardougne screenshot with the d'hide. OVAL EYES FTW! Yeah, and the solid-black makes the characters look sort of like rodents. Beady little eyes... :uhh: Besides that and the stubby hands, everything looks stunning. The textures/shading are way better than WoW's imo. (though obviously they have rs beat in player/npc models)
  6. Looks GREAT! But... we still have lines for eyes and balls for hands. Looks a little tacky with all of these new graphical improvements. It sticks out like a really sore thumb. Maybe an improvement to player models will come eventually...? To maybe sort of match the new chat-head look?
  7. Though it is annoying to have someone think you're swearing, you can't get reported if the words are censored. As Jagex stated numerous times, there is no need to report if offensive language is censored, as the censor has done its job. It's only when someone tries to evade the censor (good luck  ) that they can be reported. As to the idea, though, if it were ever implemented it would have to mean that someone on the "mature" setting can't report for offensive language. If someone drops an F-Bomb, they shouldn't be held responsible for your choice to view offensive content.
  8. Grats. I would say "I hate you" (Done at least 10k dusties myself), but after 8k metals with no visage you probably deserve it :P
  9. By that logic Zaros is also Voldemort. Trust me, when Jagex makes references, it's usually so obvious that there's no reason to make a thread to try and find more evidence of it. Remember Col. Jake O'Niall? :D
  10. Surprised nobody has posted this before on tif. They're not actually that rare. I just went down there and slayed the 149s for about half an hour and ended up with close to 70 of them.
  11. not directed @ peronix or anything, but any1 who feels they are being babied to heavily, find that quote. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=723933
  12. If that isn't utter incompetence I don't know what is -.- It's bad enough we have these Communist price controls, and even worse that they're being applied to new items, but worst of all it seems the prices are being set by monkeys. 150 gp for summoning potion? How stupid can you get.
  13. Considering even granite crabs only give 21 exp, that's not really that good at all. At that rate, we're looking at a skill that's twice as slow to train than RuneCrafting. Yeah there are pouches that get great exp at higher levels, but require charms that seem to be very uncommon drops. If you look at all the inv pics of people hunting for them, you'll see quite a few (though still only worth one trip to the obelisk...) gold charms and like one of each of the others.
  14. I think this is utter bullcrap. If Jagex said they were going to make new items unrestricted, that's what they should be doing. And why is it so fricking WRONG for people to make money off of a new skill? Isn't that what happens IRL in a new industry? Well, yeah, that's exactly what happens... in a Capitalist country. In a Communist one? Nope.
  15. Actually there are pics from several JMods saying it would be f2p. I can't imagine why you would unsubscribe because of this. F2P will probably be limited to 2-3 pets... from what it looks like members will have at least 20 (that I've seen), there might even be 100+ of them... I'd think that would give f2p an incentive to join members, so they can have pets besides the dogs or whatever else they get.
  16. Ha, all that needs to happen to get Runescape on the PS3 is to get Java running for the PS3's browser (if that hasen't happened already). You can connect a wireless mouse and keyboard to the PS3 so... it would be just like playing it on a computer.
  17. All non-tradable holiday items can be re-obtained from Diango in Draynor Village if you destroy them. Yeah, there's a chest you can build in Player Owned Houses (members only) but it really serves no purpose as you can get it back from Diango just as easily...
  18. I'd just like to let everyone know why I haven't been on in a while. Not that anyone cares... : I've been getting a little bored with Runescape. Of course it's 100x better than nothing, I've been playing something a little funner; City of Villains. I've actually played this game before, but I haven't been able to sign up for it because it's credit card only (one thing that makes RS members so cool... you don't need one :)). Well, I have access to one now, and I've signed up again. I'm not quitting Runescape, in fact I'll probably be back to train summoining to 99 (maybe). And then I'll probably be back for good when this game finally runs out of fun stuff to do; it isn't updated nearly as often as RS so that's quite likely to happen. Randomly generated missions can only be so fun (although random, the mission maps consist of pretty much the same room setups; I've seen them all already).
  19. Actually, no. If you notice they're all placed in equal distances away from each other. I simply arranged a whole bunch of them in a grid, and then copied and pasted the grid. Like I said, please ignore them. If I could remove them from those year old screenshots I would. I was just messing around, and then I just decided to start training firemaking. Couldn't be bothered at that specific moment to go all the way back to Falador.
  20. Somehow I think I was giving out more than 30k worth of double natures per 15 minutes with FFDN... :| But I think since Jagex has officially recognized rune companies by making official worlds for them, they'll be implementing measures to preserve them. Apparently they won't be doing that immediately, so in the near future there could be more people training Runecrafting.
  21. Since everyone else is posting one of these I figured what the heck, I'll put one up too. Here are my stats from mid December 2006 (left), and my stats from late December 2007 (right). Don't mind the NFS crap; I used to be kind of paranoid about that. Don't care anymore. [hide=99s Achieved this year] [/hide] [hide=Other Awesome Achievements] First (and only :( ) Dragon drop 1800 Total 1850 Total [/hide] And here's a picture of my bank, again from mid December 2006, and a recently taken BoB. [hide=Warning][/hide] Rest of the bank isn't all that special. It's about 15-20m worth of random stuff. So as you can see, in the last year I've gained 170 total levels and about 150m+ networth.
  22. Yeah, those revenants sure are more annoying than PKers... not only did Jagex take out Green Dragon autoers and raise the price on dragon bones and green hides, which might have been a good thing, but they utterly destroyed green dragon hunting for actual players. You can bet your [wagon] in a month or two crafting with green dragonhides won't be practical anymore. Who wants to slay brutal green dragons? Really? Blues are much safer.
  23. Oh god, I couldn't agree more. They really need to be taken out of the game. I am SO sick of every time I run up to the grand exchange to buy or sell something, it never fails, I ALWAYS get some idiot random appear and kidnap me! Every time! It's happened dozens of times now. The infuriating thing is that randoms don't even DO anything to stop macroers. Every macro I've ever seen that got a random event circumvented it easily. When Jagex releases a new random, it inconveniences maybe... 100 bots, since the chances of getting that specific random before some programmer codes a way around it are very slim. Seriously the only people I've ever seen that got inconvenienced by randoms are normal players. Not while doing something like alching, cutting yews, fishing, picking flax, or mining essence like bots do, but while fighting monsters, PKing (before the update), hell even DKing. We've all heard the horror stories about how someone was ranging dragons in a safespot, went to pick up the loot, got a random, and got teleported back and one hitted by the dragonbreath. Randoms need to go. Now that RWTers have no reason to macro, all that's left are small-time cheaters, and a few RWT companies trying something desperate like powerleveling (which are destined to fail IMO...). How about, I don't know, using a detection system to deal with the macroers?
  24. YES! I just broke 8.2m RC exp, which at last got me into the top 1,000 RuneCrafters. This is the first time I've ever been ranked so high in a skill! Well... I was rank 300 something in Construction, but that dosen't count because it had just come out; I got level 60 on the first day. Anyways...
  25. Please... don't triple post :wall: You could easily have posted all of that nonsense in one post. Don't quite understand what your objection is to dagganoth and shade tasks. Especially dagganoths.... that's one of the best tasks Vanaka has to offer :|
