Pathetic all the way from wolf to steel trashcan. Remove them and give me back my 126 since summoning is only good for teleport, skill bonues, item spawning, and extra inventory space.
-
Not really sure what naturally is, but if you mean not focusing on doing the same skill from like level 70-80 something to 99 then attack, strength, defense, hitpoints, range and fishing. For example, I went from 97 to 99 fishing over the course 1.5 years while only doing the last 200k straight.

Neither. I prefer Protect Melee. It nullifies both and makes my opponents curse and flee. ;)

Well, I'll make use of excalibur alot more than that stupid falador shield. But, the rewards still don't fit the requirements by far... On a side note, the falador diary had to be the worst one by far, I mean 5% extra farming xp and a useless emote item. At least they released the relleka diary at the same time. I use them boots everyday. :D

What are your thoughts on grand exchange merchanting?
Golvellius replied to saif's topic in General Discussion
I like the GE because I don't have to deal with the you pigs face to face anymore. I don't have to hear great things "wtf, no noob offers" & "lmao noob, its not worth that, scammer". Merchanting is just one kid ripping another kid off, plain and simple. (think of it as non-violent pking with a RTW twist thrown-in) -
A Year of Summoning: A year in review.
Golvellius replied to Dean Ambrose's topic in General Discussion
Nothing but window dressing for the kiddies. Can't say I call out summon for more than a mining bonus or a quick teleport. Didn't really need a new skill to do that, just new items. (Ex. I'd have rather had a dragon pickaxe than a lava titan) Should have been a subsection of magic. Summoning points, timers, interface, action interupts, faulty AI, and not being able to walk to the GE with them make them all too annoying to bother with most times. Just another firemaking skill to level... -
The Godsword is the Highest Level Player Made Item
Golvellius replied to NukeMarine's topic in General Discussion
This thread is too vague and confusing, would have been easier if you said that you wanted more desireable items to be generated solely from smithing, crafting, and fletching. Problem is that you always need an input to these skills to get an output. There was another game I played called Dofus where every armour or weapon had to be generated by players using so said production skills. However, in that game the stats of the produced item are dice rolled. Thus you might by a weapon that give +20 str and or pay more and get the same item at +21 str. For runescape application, one might make black dragon hide armour sets over and over and then on a rare occasion generation a "perfect" black dragon hide set. This perfect set may have additional bonus to the range attack of say +30, making it very valuable in runescape or perhaps to the extreme untradable. -
I prefer to think of it as Money = Time. The difference being making money involves me wasting time doing things I'm not particularly found of. I don't like buying skills, but of course you can see from stats in my signature that I have done it.

Your least favourite update of 2008.
Golvellius replied to wackoredhead's topic in General Discussion
God there were so many bad ones and yet you make me pick one. SUMMONING. Hands down. Hell I quit for 3 months after the second coming of failure. I mean comon, a skill based around the randomness of drops, the cost of construction, and being trained like RC, all of the most annoying aspects of runescape. And thats just the concept on paper alone, just think of shoddy implementation. You move around a corner, click to do something, and then your interupted as your summon readjusts position because it got stuck behind something. It interupts YOU. Why is that? Why is it that we fought hard to get the stupid pets out of castle wars so we could click freely only to now have behemoth 5 option garbage covering the whole map as to be sure that you're spammed with "This isn't your summon" when you try to do something? Why can't I find my summon in a pile of summons at a bank and have to leave the bank to access it? Why does it affect combat level when you would be stupid to use a combat summon? Would you really give up all the extra food you could store in turtle or a yack for a steel trashcan? Why can't you direct them to fight on their own in a single combat zone? Why are they all defense and hitpoints and have damage dealing potentials less than F2P players? Its not like anybody attacks them except to annoy people. I could go on like this all day, but why bother, the peabrains of runescape were statisfied with it, and thus so is Jagex satisfied with it. -
3rd age is the gear of RWTer. Want it? Plop down real money at one of their RS gp sites and then go pickit up in BH.

Am I the only one who thinks AGS is not worth it??
Golvellius replied to Romy's topic in General Discussion
Godswords are poop. Dragon Claws are poop. Its whip and shield or defender if your opponent can't hit. Its verac in PVP melee duels or some nasty def'ed monster. Been that way for years. Haven't had a successor to whip yet. Sara sword is close but being two handed blows. Yea, Vesta's longsword is the real deal, but Jagex had to find someway to gimp it into a useless artifact, and they sure do that within 1 hour of you using it to be exact. -
16th December 2008 - Stealing Creation Reward Changes
Golvellius replied to Xecer's topic in General Discussion
The real question is when are the going to make stealing creation decent not the rewards? The game is flawed to the core and was bugged to... but at least they managed to get the clock going again. Rofl... Wanna pk there, just grab a dagger. Don't bother with food, pots or anything else because A) they save over your dagger, B) Armour is so pathetic you will die in like 10 seconds in a pile. Not really pking, just a 1 item fest. Wanna skill there, hug a tree, a pond, a rock, or a beehive. Just AFK it until some noob with only a dagger drops you. But after 20k points, who cares? The game doesn't, you get practically nothing for pts past 20k and you never get xp. Funny thing is they could have just given 2 times the xp on PVP worlds and this so called Minigame would be redundent, monochrome version of it. -
Brief analysis of time/money expenditures on 99's
Golvellius replied to Grimy_Bunyip's topic in General Discussion
So how much gp did you lose making this post? Or going to sleep tonight? Fun over efficiency, its a game, remember? -
you obviously want to dismay the claw owners into believing your testimony, but it won't work! claws minimal damage is 1 (2 splashes with a 1 and 0) and the maximum damage is anything thats your highest hit with claws and half of that with two 25% of your highest hit which makes 4 splashes. Dismay? I call it helping out those who don't have a clue. I mean Jagex even threw out a bone on this one with the starting price. Obviously they just made it for completeness, not that it was unique or anything. As for facts, minimum damage is 0. I mean if they spec you and you still have 99 hps what else could it be? Alot of the owners of this junk are 130+, so they have 99 attack and more than likely pot. I don't pot in cw so take it for what it is, and that is a weapon for spec'ing the defenseless. Of course be my guest if you want to break your bank to buy one that is no more effective than a 45K dagger that poisons and only needs one hand. I mean Runescape players are into fads and always overlook quality. They cry about the dragonplate stats yet junk and bh trade for a 3rd age plate that has worse stats. Anyhow, its all good for Jagex seeing how they run things over the past year.
-
Don't worry they will never be nerfed seeing how they are JUNK. So many people in castle wars come up to me with claws and try the spec. All I see most of the time are 4 0s rofl... Never been hit for more than a 30 maybe it only works experiments, rock crabs, and noobs.
-
Glad to see some of the idiots that abused this lose their shirt on it the next day. I would really like to see jagex ban everybody who abused to it and admitted on the official forums and here since they seem to peruse this forum too. (hint: cryptic tipit staff names of gnome tour's pest control players). But, jagex obviously isn't capable of that. They aren't capable of much these days now...
-
Never got into dragon armour until the Full Helm. However, I got a plate on drops and I'm keeping it along with helm. The look is too nice and is competitive stat wise with 3rd AGE which is currently priced way above acceptable in the GE and possessed by only RWTers. Not sure it is a failure at least looking at it. One of the few quality updates in a year defined by garbage like HD and summoning...
-
My prediction: Tool only lasts 10 uses. It will take on average more than one game to get a tool. Nerf all the way! :wall: Afterall, Jagex already met its quota of 1 meaningful update a year with the last quest.
-
I think everests push the limits of whats know to be possible, not the limits of time. Getting X billion xp total or in a small time period isn't interesting or an everest in my book. I think soloing the corporeal beast would be a good one. I've always been interested in groundbreaking max hits. They tend to be as controversial as mesmorizing. Hehe. Of course, ruby bolts on steel trashcans kinda ruined it all...

Tormented Demon Drop Changes - (04-December-2008)
Golvellius replied to Red_Tanya's topic in General Discussion
Wait. You do realize you can't sell any of the DPlate pieces on the GE for even lowest. Jagex didn't nerf it because people complained. They nerfed it because there were too many coming into the game. You do realize that you can't sell a spectral shield at min. Is that because there are too many coming into the game? The reason you can't sell is that same idiots who were making a killing on dropping pieces ran around in this forums, other fansites, and the official forums proclaiming they are too easy to get. So, the lightbulb in quite a few of the money grubbers goes on and they go "OH %*&@!" and plunk all their horded pieces in the GE at once. And of course, thanks to Jagex's lovely price control system (err trade system..rofl), the price won't drop fast enough or not any at all to keep them selling. And thus the market is frozen and if you check the official forums you will see all this "OMFG DPLATE can't SELL!" crap. Finally, another fine update is terded up because you know Jagex won't do an extra inch of work unless somebody moans. You'd have Summoning version one if people hadn't cried and you know it to. ;) The dragon plate doesn't need to be rare, doesn't need to be 30 mil, it needs to be enjoyed. Afterall, updates are meant to be enjoyed not horded up. -
Tormented Demon Drop Changes - (04-December-2008)
Golvellius replied to Red_Tanya's topic in General Discussion
Plates are falling in price Jesus Christ! I lost everything when I invested everything in screwing other people. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Somebody cries and Jagex nerfs it all to hell. Imagine that. Let me start crying. My agility is useless!!!!!!!! Just get a terrorbird and you can run around forever. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Nerf that to hell please. -
130 is too high, last time I checked (5 years ago, so don't quote me) the average IQ in the US was 92, I consider myself a relatively intelligent person and mine is barely above 130 (in a Government approved test) I thought the scale was always normalized to where the average IQ is 100. Anyways, IQ tests are notoriously inaccurate and subjective anyhow. Its hard to condense all the aspects of a person's intelligence into a standard test. Some smart people score bad because they lack motivation.
-
Boring. A couple of tasklists with marginal sounding rewards (Can you make the price of maples get any lower? ). French server??? (I think they all play Dofus or some other homegrown game, not runescape.) Well, at least it appears that they will try to fix this new minigame of the bugs before dumping it on us like "Failing Creation". Well, on second thought who am I kidding they probably won't lol! Its almost guaranteed that it will have the usual assortment of bugs like it won't start, you get kicked in the middle of it, messed up graphics, and broken rewards.
-
I looked on the website, its not there. However, sailing doesn't sound bad. Could be like navigating, dealing with wind and storms, and fighting off sea monsters. Can't be any worse than summoning. (crosses fingers) I'd prefer archeology myself though.

So supposedly Player Mods have to report federal crimes?
Golvellius replied to XxTearGodxX's topic in General Discussion
You have to seriously be clueless to find this in the least bit surprising. Jagex bans you for tons of trivial things that can be considered asking for personal details. Hell they ban you for joking about cheating in the game. And its suprising that they ban you for bragging about commiting crimes in real life?! :wall: I certainly won't hesistate to report you and I don't have a silver crown next to my name. Hell I've already reported a few people for letting me know they smoke pot. Haven't seen them around anymore too. :P
