You are useless. Unicorns heal 21 hp/minute for an expense that, as I have said many times previously, is negligible. They last longer than bunyips. They provide enough healing to stay basically anywhere except high-damage GWDs as long as you have pouches. Each dose of potion restores 15 special move points, meaning you can pay 1k (the price of a potion) to get 42 hitpoints worth of healing. Not to mention the generous natural regeneration of points. Guthans slows you down considerably, and no food heals 42 hitpoints/space. You don't seem to have read the first post either. SUMMONING POTIONS RESTORE SPECIAL MOVE ENERGY ALLOWING YOU TO USE SCROLLS MORE FREQUENTLY. The potions restore 15 points each, meaning 4 doses gives you enough to cast the special 3 times - but you don't need to sip very frequently because of the natural regeneration. You can use guthans if you want but it is unreliable and slows you down because the spear sucks. The saradomin godsword is useful but it heals about as much hp/minute as a bunyip... it's nice but not enough if you are doing something where you take a lot of damage. Just because you don't use the unicorn everywhere it is useful does not mean it is useless. The restoration is 15. 4 doses (a cost of 1k) will give you 3 specials (a cost of 750 gp), creating a cost of 583 per scroll IF SPECIAL MOVE DID NOT RECHARGE ON ITS OWN. However, it does so the cost is much less (at mithril dragons I use about a dose of summoning potion every 7 minutes, meaning I need to drink a dose of potion for about one in every 11 specials). This means in reality each scroll costs about 275 gp to use at mithril dragons. However, mithril dragons are a much higher damage area than most places. On an average slayer task, no summoning potions are needed whatsoever. Anyone who says guthans is better than a unicorn is saying that something that is slow and unreliable and not usable in many situations is superior to something that takes no effort or time to use and can be used basically anywhere. The "too expensive" argument is completely invalid as well. In a summer of camping godwars dungeon and slayer I used about 5k scrolls, for a grand cost of less than 800k. I made hundreds of millions. I could make that 800k in less than 2 hours of runecrafting astrals (someone with 44 runecrafting could make it in under 4 hours doing nature runes) and it definitely saved me many many more hours than that. Combat for you must be an adventure in reptitive clicking and watching your guy stand around like a dullard in confusion. Monster hits you. You scream "Time out! I have to drink my summoning pot a couple of times then click over on my summoning tab and then click the special". Then 5 seconds later the pony makes sparkles and you go "okay ready". Just chug sara brews if you like to waste all your combat rounds sipping pots and fiddling with summons for practically nothing. TIP: SGS + guthans is for the pros, ponies are for the weak.

25-Nov-2008 Stealing Creation rewards system to change
Golvellius replied to Toad's topic in General Discussion
Well, if an update is bugged what do you do? Well, I would fix the bugs. Jagex, well... they just going to nerf it all to hell and think its job well done. Can't be bothered to fix the tool animation and inconsistent xp rewards. Can't be bothered to balance the game point system. But hell yea if we can make everything degrade faster and take your points away. Sloppy and pathetic minigame.... -
Weekly Poll: How well do you know Tip.It Staff?

I just know Laikrob. I have never said more than a sentence or two to anybody else here now. I knew more of the people that left, like oddfaery2. -
Summoning potions are useless. They were made obselete when failure version #1 of summoning turned into failure version #2. Unicorns have very limited uses. It can only heal you 13 or 14 and the bar runs out after like 3 or 4 clicks and you can't take it to the fight caves. Food and guthans is preferable to it.

So anybody with a hobby and displays it is a "nutjob" too. Amirite? If your obessed with something, then your a nutjob. Nutjob, being colloquial way of saying it of course. Perhaps, I could say that you are maligned or use medical terms like obessive complusive disorder. Finally, if you weren't obessed about say star trek, then why would you feel the need to dress like a character in it? Hell, I've seen women dress up like bondage fairies at comic shows. Tell me again that there ain't something wrong with them.

19th November 2008 - FunOrb - Zombie Dawn Multiplayer
Golvellius replied to mrsmarty1's topic in Off-Topic
My as well advertise it on Runescape. Its better than any of the crap they are putting out this year on Runescape. Seems like all of Jagex's finest talent is on Funorb or working on that new game. -
What does that have to do with runescape? Thats a good song \ , haven't heard it since I was a kid, so why post it?

If your a nutjob, then dressing up like comic books or star trek or anything with blue hair and plastic clothes seems cool. People with obessions like this ruin things (like comic conventions...).

Supply got too big and they were no longer viable for junk trading and RWTing. Eventually, spririt shields and 3rd age will too. They should have added 3rd age along with spirit shields to PVP drops like the DFH. Anything in short supply with decent demand in the game is being abused horriblely.

No you'll be another ruined pure.

Its almost like I am pyschic.

Remember when summoning failure version #1 came out and they posted it was bug that charms were only being dropped preferentially by only a few creatures. Then they had an update where slayer monsters started dropping charms and then they changed it back the next day saying "They couldn't fix it without creating a new bug and it wasn't their policy to replace one bug with a new bug". Of course summoning failure version #2 had a patched up charm drops on slayer monsters, but they never really fixed the 1st bug cause there are still only a few monsters that drop charms at a good rate and said nothing about it from there on. So now everybody is stuck camping on waterfiends or rock lobsters. Based on that history, I doubt they will ever fix this.

The problem: Too many PVP worlds and you people have too high expectations with your rosey colored glasses. I knew when they brought back PVP the b&^%ing would come back (BTW, its stupid to say brought back since BH, fight pits, and castle wars were there all along.) And yep here it is like good old times again. DDS overpowered, can't get easy kills, cabbage loot, teletubbies, noob-1-itemers, pjing... on and on... Good old world 18 edge and MB was exactly like it is now on world 23 at edge, around GE, and so on.

The Majority of Rune Armour and Weapons?
Golvellius replied to Tbfgraphx14's topic in General Discussion
Smithing. There has been more than enough hand outs with coinshare and RWTing that there are quite a few people who have more gp than they can ever use. So throwing it away for fast xp is nothing to them. -
I CAN'T GET EASY KILLS!!! CHANGE THE GAME!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

Tip.it Times Presents: Ranging to Make Ends Meet
Golvellius replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
How come that a guy with 85 slayer and level 10 magic(dont ask, was his goal) got absolutely raped by bloodvelds and infernal mages despite wearing near max magic defence? Magic level does matter. It doesn't matter and no amount of defense could make that fly. I get raped on occasion too and I have 99 magic and defense. One can't seem to buy enough magic defense in this game, because it is heavily weighted towards magic accuracy. You must not use magic much. I've pvped enough with magic that after 15 casts or so I can guess fairly accurately what your magic level is. Magic has an ENORMOUS effect on your magic defense. You seriously need to pvp more. I mean seriously, if you've ever used mage on a pure, you would know that magic raises magic defense. A pure wearing black chaps, ghostly top, and a glory with 99 magic is several times harder to hit than some random guy with 70 magic and defense wearing the same gear, even though his defense level is a full 69 levels higher. The gear you described is tragic. Missing would be bad luck on the mages part. I'm talking me wearing full arma and DFS, versus ahrims and DFS and getting hitting half the time. I'm talking people in arma using magic and stopping me with an arma top, DFS, and dharok legs. Magic is most certainly the most accurate combat skill. Why don't you think they never bothered upping the max magic hits after they pumped range and melee up for so long? Don't need to. You hit way more often even if they wear the best stuff. -

He may have had a previous career of digging around in the wilderness before he took up residence at the barrows. I think all this stuff about him being hundreds of years old or undead seems far fetched.

Tip.it Times Presents: Ranging to Make Ends Meet
Golvellius replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
That tip at the bottom is about as wrong as wrong can be. Magic level doesn't effect your magic defense at all. Its magic defense assigned to the armour + your defense level that effect the dice throws. This notion has been brought up a long time ago along with agility helps range defense. In both cases, when they had customer support, people were able to post replies from Jagex on here stating those notions to be dead wrong. -
I always pray with pro melee the default unless I'm tempted otherwise. When my 99 prayer runs out then I just unequip my armour and die because its not worth fighting if its just a lucky hit contest. Its all about trading blows and using your character to your fullest. Its also fun to humilate those without a prayer or defense. However don't worry, I doubt I will ever be a regular at the new dreg/PVP worlds, so don't cry about my style, since you'll never cross my path unless you goto world 24 CW.

Its a shame that the post on RSOF was locked, oh well guess I'll just have to blow off some steam here where the Jagex appologists post all day. Dear Jagex, Do you realize who you selected to take suggestions from to improve your game? You are asking people who: #1 )Are entertained by anything (even a dot moving accross the screen). (200Mil XP club) #2 )Don't have any opinions or thoughts based on other games or life for that matter since they live on runescape (All 99ers club) #3 )Who like to organize into gangs to kill people, cheat, manipluate, and steal stuff (clan leaders) Isn't this like asking a RWTer how to stop RWTing? If it is, your doing a great job just like good old George Bush. (P.S. George, tell me how that bailout is working and for which country is it again?) -
They have reinvented many older skills already, think about it. Woodcutting: That jungle cutting minigame, you chop things & random events occur, you fix a fence with sticks you cut, you're rewarded with access to highly rewarding trees or currency to buy some simple things. Mage: Mage training arena, various different games that require a little thought, bunch of different rewards that can be valuable. Firemaking: Beacon Lighting, Run from beacon to beacon lighting them in remote and exciting locations. Decent xp and you can use cheap logs. Mining: Star falling minigame, run around trying to be the first to find a fallen star and then mine it with many other players for some cash and decent xp. Runecrafting: The RC guild gives some xp, lots of ess, plus the tabs are a new way to get to the altars. Smithing: Group smithing at the Blast Furnance I can probably go on if I think about it, but yea they all flopped because most players want simple one click, afkable, big reward, junk.
