04-Aug-10 Elite Treasure Trails!
So much wait and anticipation for this...doesn't seem too worthwhile. The droppers list doesn't seem too much set in stone, i doubt all the strykewyrms drop them and neither TD-s or Frosts drop them. If anyone would be so kind, i'd appreciate the GE stat pictures of the druidic prayer items and dragon masks, member ran out 2 days ago and i'm on vocation...

Draconic Visage..
I think why it's so hard to get an accurate ''drop rate'' figure on dragons is that it's actually a combination of drop rates(dropped along with other specific items, and the drop rates for those aren't universally the same) and that the drops are actually so rare. For a borderline accurate drop rate, one person would have to get 20 visages from the same type of dragon, and at the approximate rate of 10k speculated on the rsof, one would need to kill anywhere from 150k-250k dragons to reach any sort of conclusion. I hadn't got a visage drop in nearly 20k dragons until i got one recently from slaying 10k frost dragons. Slaying for a visage is the stupidest thing ever, as even if you kill 50k dragons, you are still not guaranteed a visage.

Ways to get rich in runescape
I think people are forgetting the most important thing on this thread- what exactly is rich? For some people, mining copper and tip, smithing them to bronze plates and selling to varrock store makes them rich, but for others, countless hours of monster hunting and merching still doesn't achieve that goal. Is 500m rich? For most people, it might be, but for others, they still wouldn't be able to buy 4 items with that amount. And when going by that perspective, merchanting is the only way to get rich.

02-Aug-10 Behind the Scenes August
So, every smart*** on the game delay thread, what do you think of it now? ironically, since i will be on vocation the whole week, the news is actually good for me, but dear god, how bad are they at doing their job- announce an update and not get it done withing a month, total BS. The BTS isn't very promising, they are getting more and more behind schedule and releasing the dungeoneering pie in a million slices, which really doesn't improve the view of the skill.

An Alternative to Banning
Wait, are you talking about darth vader or...? Oh, that's the jealousy talking. Don't suck, be better than others, manipulate your way to greatness = WIN. [bleep]ing about it = LOSE. Seriously, price manipulation didn't exist before the trade limit. Now, who imposed the trade limit? yes, that's who you should all be mad at. Everybody else you are mad at is just coping better than you are.

money making
You can't really consider farming as it's limited in the time you can do it per day, thus not a good moneymaker per day, but good money per the time you spend to do it. Bork might be a good charm dropper, but you are not getting 99 summoning killing bork.

Lower than -130 dungeoneering clans
Just max out, if nothing else, it shows you care. The experience rates are 5x of what they used to be for some people.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
Edit: added a more detailed insight of luring at this spot and added some useful experience rates for training at the spot. I also tested the usefulness of range and mage at the spot and found ranged to be better than expected and magic worse than expected. I'd certainly appreciate some of your numbers for any of the combat classes.

Unofficial Dungeoneering Servers?
Jagex knew that dungeoneering was a server heavy skill so that's why they didn't create themed servers or want them to exist, but the way it's going now, they should atleast create some dungeoneering specific servers to differentiate between dungeoneering level and combat, something similar to 130+/90+; 120+/80+; 100+/70+ and so forth.
-
An Alternative to Banning
jagex has already used the stat/quest wipeout before as a less harsh punishment for serious offenses. Also i don't understand why you all hate price manipulation that much- if you don't give into them, they will lose money. Jagex is responsible for all the chaos going around in the economy, should we ban them? oh, wait, lets steal 90% of their employees, steal most of their food until they fix it and pay us 90% of our money back? Great idea :D
-
An Alternative to Banning
That would be much, much more lenient than banning. Stats >>>>> money. I'd be completely fine if this was imposed on me.

Armour Prices
Extreme pure set will be SIGNIFICANTLY better than the +6 str bandos will give you, around 15k vs 3k extra xp an hours for those two, and the minimum level you need for that, 84 helblore, would cost you around 40m which should leave you with atleast 10m left over over what bandos would have cost, and bandos really isn't needed for slayer, ext attack, str and super antifires will be tons better and you'll make the money back easily from slayer if you are already considering getting hundreds of millions from it.
-
Armour Prices
Wouldn't you lose much, much more than 10 mil(5m per piece) if you train slayer without extremes instead of training with supers? This is what i don't get about people, they want to avoid obvious losses at all cost, but when they take massive hits(like holding 100m gp in a bank for 2 years) they have no problem with it. It's just funny how many restrictions people put on themselves just to lose money. If someone can really afford a piece of armor, they won't care about how the price would change- i have 800m+ in useful armor in my bank and i have never once considered selling any of it as even if i lose 10% of that, i'd be completely fine.
-
Armour Prices
Well then you should atleast wait for 1 week after the TT update and look out for the new BTS- if the new BTS has anything about new armor, then no, you shouldn't buy it, but really, living in constant fear of losing money speaks of two things, you can't play the game to have fun nor are good enough to actually own the armor(most people would make the money back easily).
-
money making
The current best skilling moneymakers are hunting grenwalls/implings, runecrafting natures/deaths or mining runite. Another useful moneymaker that doesn't grant xp is making unfinished potions.
-
Armour Prices
Only way you are going to lose 5m per piece is if you panic and sell when they are low, efficiently giving your money away. It's not worth it to buy them if you can't afford to keep them ie. making threads about if you should or shouldn't buy a certain item.

Where's the Excitement?
I got that with my divine drop- everyone around me went crazy and even on forums, people were in awe, and still to this day, people get all exited about FFA/solo sigils, but i just shrugged it off, it didn't even add significantly to my networth and was another check in my achievement list. Now ofcource, ely/divine drops are still jaw-dropping for most monster hunters, so that's what they should shoot for, a whip drop has never really been exiting as they don't require skill to accumulate, just hours of training.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
In my opinion, and because this is an efficient slaying guide, it's not worth it, BUT, if you were to leave the cannon down the dungeon(which i'm not sure works) and bank quickly(~3 minutes) you should still be able to rake in more than 150 bones an hour, but it will be even less enjoyable. Can be done, not efficient, worth it if you can't cannon DK's or kill TD's efficiently.

Effigy Droppers
I've already gone from 87 to 93 rc, want to bet on that claim?
-
Magic is overpowered
I heard rumors that chaotic staff was gona be buffed to 25% damage boost. Thoughts? I heard rumors that bumping your own topics with borderline relevant videos and pie in the sky dreams gets you to be considered an attention seeker. Just my two cents.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
Thanks for all the positive feedback so far and the few tips, keep them coming in. I also added a little more eye-candy in the rewards section and i'm currently working on giving more detailed information about luring and suggesting ranging/maging setups while giving more accurate numbers for kills an hour.
-
Effigy Droppers
1/300-500, with around 210 kills an hour max. TD's are likely better droppers with steel titan.
- Assist Reset

Effigy Droppers
that wouldn't be in the spirit of why they were released.

Whips are still 3.5m each, why?
Whip hits WELL over 90% of the time on steels? try 60-70%. I don't think even rapier hits 90% of the time on lesser demons, the accuracy is capped at around 85%. Also, if the spear hits 80% of the time and whip hits 75% of the time, the spear is better. Also the difference in DPS is rather around 5% as deadly hits matter more for whip. As far as i have seen, whip is horribly inaccurate on any metal dragons and stab weapons are noticeably more accurate- even tip it monster hunting guide suggests the use of LBS rather than whip, if you want to prove something, show us some real numbers, the weakness of specific combat styles isn't something easily calculateable. Edit: All of tip.it official dragon killing guides(KBD, Miths, Steels and Irons) suggest Zamorakian spear or LBS over the Whip, so unless you can provide any concrete proof, you are just fighting a wall here. It's just a pity neither of these weapons are actually the best. Also, on a similar note, is CLS slash better than stab on dragons? Because, lets be honest, 16 slash is the difference between those two modes...
