Frost Dagon Guides
I know it would profit, but does it increase your speed enough to increase your profit/hour? Especially if you dont have yak and winter storage scrolls. Frost dragons are not worth killing if you don't have pack yak- banking for ~4 minutes every 40 kills just isn't the same thing as banking for 7 mintes every 330 kills, and cannoning without yak is even more terrible. As for cannon being useful, the maximum number of kills an hour with melee only is 140, 210 with cannonballs using around 2.7k cannonballs, so at those numbers, cannon is borderline useful if you don't account for the xp, effigies and other drops at 14k per bone(which is much lower than they will go atleast in the next 2 months).

Lan is using his effigies on dungeoneering and you can see how many effigies people get on their adventures log, as most top players allow free view of those. Slayer really isn't the best place to gain effigies, if any of the top players decides to make alot of money or train melee/ranged and prayer, they could slay a big load of frosties and gain 5 effigies a day with 10 hour days. tds is effigy per 1h 40 mins slayer is effigy per 2h 25 mins not sure on frusts Frosties are around effigy per 1 hour 30 minutes with a sample size of 7k dragons. The fact that lan hasn't used his effigies for a week isn't really a show of that he is saving his effigies- there is no reason to do effigies right away aswell as there is no reason bank them(for him), and he has been using them for dungeoneering for a long while, which actually makes no sense(as using them for rc is much better, or even slayer when you are in danger of maxing out melee).

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
The best way to test which weapon is better at Bandos is just to have 2 people evenly matched in stats use each weapon and see who gets more kills. This test was done with CR vs CLS and CLS won. More tests need to be done to be sure of this conclusion. A test of duo bandos like that can only show which is better, and we know that cls is better, but barely shows how much one of them is better. A better test would be the maximum number of kills you can get in a set amount of time, as that could also take minion killing into account. And really, now that we can take into account people getting many chaotic weapons, it's just another reason not to get CLS- a combination of CLS/CR or CLS/CM leave out a nice portion of the game, where as CR/CM is great everywhere.

You don't need food if you use protection prayers, so using a wolpertinger and it's scrolls would be much better, unless your using overloads, in which case a yak would be better. With maxed mage, you can get 40k slayer xp an hour there, up to 50k an hour with cannon. It's always efficient to use the best equipment there as they have the best drops of any slayer monster. Also, when maging, stay next to walls and stuff as they cant burrow when there is no space to reappear.

99 skills.
It's impossible to make a realistic list like this without adding the methods of how they would be done, or to post one list without another. I could easily say that herblore and prayer are the cheapest skills while cooking is the most expensive, or that slayer is the fastest skill with construction being the slowest, but if i don't account for the methods, this is completely pointless. Also, for most skills, there are many different efficient methods to train the skills for which efficiency varies by your hourly income, so you should look at some efficiency spreadsheets(and there are a few great ones on these forums) to know which method fits you best. If you are truly going by cheapest to most expensive, you have already gone wrong by the two skills you have 99 in.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
sseli, the difference in dps is actually even bigger if you factor in accuracy and average damage... Assuming your average damage is max damage/2(which is quite reasonable) and the maximum accuracy against ~no defense(usual slayer monsters up to dark beasts) for rapier is 80%, with cls accuracy being 1% better(which is also about right) against kurdal dungeon dark beasts we would get: CR: max damage 669, average [max/2 + 20(because of fero ring)]*0,8(accuracy) is 283,6 and DPS is 118,16 CLS: max damage 727, average (max/2+20)*0,81 is 310,635 and DPS is 103,55 I'm not too sure on whip accuracy on dark beasts, but i'd gues 75% would be a good estimate: Whip: max damage 605, average (max/2+20)*0,75 is 241,875 and DPS is 100,78 (the max hits are taken from tip.it calc with maxed slaying armor and thingies, though the figures are all a bit lower than what i have experienced in reality) Now before you say these figures have nothing to do with reality, the rapier figures are awfully close to what i'm getting on dark beast tasks on perfect conditions(no lag, only person slaying) at 41-42k DP an hour versus the 42.5k that you would get from these calculations, and you are bound to get higher figures as this doesn't account for deadly hits(which lower the average). Now if we calculate the DPS differences, the rapier is 14,1% more efficient than the longsword and 17,2% than the whip, while the longsword is 2,7% more efficient than a whip. If we take deadly hits into account, the whip loses the least DPS(lowest max and fastest), rapier loses a little more(higher max, same speed) and longsword loses the most DPS as it has the highest max hit with the slowest speed, so the actual important figures should show that the rapier is ~16% better than the longsword and the whip(which are around equal). Now ofcource, this is an example useful only against low defense monsters like slayer monsters and frost dragons, but because the difference is so big, the DPS at which CLS becomes equal to or better than the rapier is around 3 times lower than the maximum DPS, realistic only at PvP or highest level bosses, and even then the rapier is within 5% of CLS efficiency. So unless you are going to ONLY solo bandos and perhaps rarely do TD's, or if you are really daft caring only about the aesthetics of a weapon, CLS is the sword for you. Squisher, maul is the coolest weapon in game, and extremely useful for PvP/waterfiends, so i'd suggest one of those. Shields are rarely used anyway, and degrading armor ****'s.

Why did this never happen Andrew..?
Grand exchange. A pack yak is to a camel the same as bank-to-bank trading is to.... No, we still don't have bank to bank trading, and notes were the actual substitute for it, not the grand exchange, but at the same time, the idea has been used and problem solved, just as BoB familiars have already been introduced.

PvP server banking.
Thanks for the answers, but i finally got the answer from my fellow pvp specialist that lumby tele is completely safe and thus the best for me to use. Thanks also for the dust rune/law rune tip, surely will be helpful.

Well if we are already talking about updates that didn't happen, where is bank-to-bank trading?

PvP server banking.
Well I haven't ever been to any pvp servers as i didn't entertain the idea of what jagex did to the wilderness and BH+1 is more up my street, but, as i'm looking to use up my 3 prayer brawlers today, I am wondering about the safety of doing so. I'm not really sure about the attacking rules on pvp servers so i'm looking for help. What are the teleport rules on pvp for me to get attacked? What are the safest banks to use while using these gloves? Is there any way to be 100% safe while using them on a pvp world? I am willing to use a significantly slower banking to avoid the risk of death. And if there isn't any 100% safe way, what would be the best teleports/equipments to use to keep myself safe, while still keeping it real(surely i'd be safe with a yak full of brews, but it wouldn't be too helpful for prayer training)?

Celtic Knot Sliding Puzzles
It might seem easy at first but the ''invert paths'' feature is what should make is difficult for most of people- you can't just get it done by moving the existing 3 rings, you have to invert the paths at some time, which could screw you over big time. Other than that, it seems as though getting the red and blue set at first, as they intersect at only 2 spots, would make sense, and then try to get the other 8 intersections done. Surely it will be harder than the current boxes, but nothing mindblowing.

The guide to using brawling gloves (WIP)
Are there any ways of using prayer gloves at gilded altar with no risk at all? Like some teleports that get you to a safe area with a bank?

Frost Dagon Guides
Surprising guide to me, as all the methods but for mage are lacking in ambition. I wouldn't really bother using ardy cape since you need to constantly use prayer and need the defense, so sw is almost certainly better. Cannoning should surely be more brought out, particularly for maging or raging as even with melee, the cannon does around half of the total damage(if you don't believe me, look at my runetracker xp logs, i've only been down there this week) so even maging and ranging can be very profitable. Also for armor, even though i use bandos, veracs skirt should be better as again, prayer bonus is very helpful as well as extra defense. You should look more into making lengthier trips- my 100-105 minute trips(5 overloads, 2 yaks) usually result in 318-338 bones banked. Another little bonus that should surely be mentioned is effigies, which they drop more often than any other monster(hourly rate) at around 1/320 kills(on a sample of ~15 effigies). Edit: Oh, and if you are good at soul split switching, it will be very nice to use here, i only bring 2 tuna potatos and a 4 dose sara brew to my trips, the shark drops and the amount healed by sou split easily cover all the melee damage.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Efficiency, if defined as combat xp an hour, makes a big difference if you go with one weapon against another, as getting a kill depends on hitting for 51 or more percent of the damage and it doesn't matter if one gets much more than that, but when comparing the weapons in a test against one another with no competition, matters quite little, as both have to get 100% damage for a kill. So, when factoring in efficiency, 63% of the kills should be around 5-7% more efficient, but when you can only solo around 20 bosses an hour, that's one more boss. Rapier efficiency over cls(or whip) is around 15%, so going 1 vs 1 vs dark beasts(monsters with alot of hp) rapier would get like 80% of the kills. Ofcource, these efficiency calculations completely ignore accuracy, speed and deadly hits, so for slayer 1 vs 1, the efficiency of whip and cls would be around the same, but cls would get more kills, and this also implies for bandos.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
That is really interesting, but probably quite predictable. If the cls wins 63% of the time(as in this example) the difference in efficiency could be smaller than 5%, but i can't really bother to calculate it. If you aren't constantly up against a cls rapier is still preferable as the small difference at bandos is more than made up at other spots, and the fact that you should get around 80% of the minion kills. I don't understand, with cls making 63% of the kills, and rapier making 37% of the kills at bandos, that means the cls is considerably more than 5% efficient than rapier there. If the two were equally efficient there, rapier would be getting 50% of the kills. Seeing as (in this example) for every 1% more efficient than rapier cls is (at bandos) rapier "loses" 1% efficiency, calculating cls's efficiency relative to rapier would work like this: (63%-50%)/50%) = 0.26 = long is 26% more efficient than rapier against Graardor. Of course, it would be nice to repeat this a few more times to get a better sample size. Also, average kills/hr and kills/trip for solo bandos would be helpful to get a better picture of rapier vs cls at bandos. #-o All i can say is, if you are 26% more efficient, for example getting 126k attack experience against 100k attack experience an hour, you would get more than 95% of the kills...

Boosting Construction
A maxed person is supposed to be able to open every door, if you aren't maxed, you are not supposed to be able to open every door as an incentive to train your skills.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Do you remember the last time jagex changed the stats of an already existing item? umm...yeah... rather the new chaotic weapons will make the cls look even worse since rapier will be the only 6 speed weapon(unless jagex does something semi-crazy like 7 speed chaotic dagger). they made barrelchest anchor slower Yes, but even that doesn't fit into my example, and considering they did it just days after the update is a bad example. Changing the stats of chaotic weapons 6-8 months after the release would make for much worse than the climbing boots riots.

which to buy first ?
I can't really understand if it was trolling or you are trying to be serious. I'd get claws first if i had special attack restores, bandos first if i didn't, but it really depends on what you like to do.

Slayer: What tasks to you block/cancel?
That's like half of the tasks  Yeah, that's what the points are for :) i actually cancel alot of other tasks frequently aswell, and sometimes only do abyssals/ice strykes, doing tasks that you don't feel like doing is what kills your experience rates.

Frost Dragon Drops
As i've killed around 4k of them i can confirm all the drops yet posted on the thread. Also, they do drop half keys aswell, but the droprate seems preposterously low, as i've only got one drop and have yet to see anyone else mention them on a droplist. The crimson charm droprate seems to be around 17% and the effigy droprate around 1/300, making them the best monsters to kill for effigies. Somehow, when cannoning them, they can be bugged as when a cannon attacks more than one at the same time, they can all attack you at the same time, so you can have up to 4 of them attacking you in single combat, although you can only attack one back and the others will stop attacking you in a while. The best way to kill them is to have protect/deflect magic on at all times with melee armor, as their mage attack is much more frequent and deadly, and magic protection also helps against dragonfire(if you happen to run off super-antifire, their fire hit's very little).

dungeoneering bosses now teleblocked?
I think this would actually be a good thing to encourage people to kill bosses as they were supposed to. I usually didn't make gs-es for large dungeons anyway so it wouldn't effect me much. Bal'lak is actually much easier and faster to do if people know what to do and don't tele out.
