Quick overview: We Need: Extreme ranging potion - starting and ending level Extreme strength potion- starting and ending level (attack, defence, strength) [hide]Hello Tip.It, We need the help of high level herblorists. We want to develop a formula for the boost of the Extreme Range potion, and to improve our formula for the Extreme Strength potion. For the Extreme Range potion we need users from level 2 to 98 ranged to drink a dose of the potion and post your original Ranged level and boosted Ranged level, (please make sure that your boost does not go down by 1. The easiest way to check this is to take at least 1 hp damage and wait for 1 point of damage to heal.) For the Extreme Strength potion we need users from level 2 to 98 in any of the following skills: Attack, Strength, Defence, to drink the appropriate Extreme Potion, and then post what the level started and ended at. (again please make sure the boost does not go down, see above for more details) Thanks for your help.[/hide]

  7. While the update would be nice, trying to balance an update such as this would pretty much make it pretty much impossible. First you must take a look at the basic technical changes it would bring to the game, mainly the fact that instead of using 2 basic character types for rendering, you would end up with atleast double that, which would cause the game itself to require more system resources to rune, especially in crowded area. This would of course be from the fact that pretty much any alternative race used would require different designs for the equipment and different animations. The best way to deal with this would have any additonal race limited in terms of equipment to keep content development and game operation reletively similar. That would pretty much limit the choice of an alternative race to be one of just being different or showing off(if it had requirements). An update like that would be reletively poor quality as there would be no real contribution to the game, unless benefits were to be given in addition to different looks. Such benefits would most easily fit into one of 4 categories : Skill bonuses, Combat bonuses, Unique content, and Special effects. Obviously any combat, special effects, or skill bonuses would be either, barely worth having or being gamebreaking which pretty much rules them out. Unique content would theoretically work, but the problem is that it does not fit with the gameplay style of Runescape. The concept of switching between races leads to a point where it is practically impossible for a majority of players to agree on how to do it. some would want to be able to switch whenever they desire with little penalty, others would insist at having extreme penalties for switching as the use of the rewards would otherwise be unbalanced, and to the far extreme there would almost certainly be some people who insist upon it being a 1 time thing which you cannot change. So picking any one method would lead to endless debates over the fairness of the chosen method. And making a coherent storyline for characters of different races(and possibly switching) would be next to impossible in my opinion, unless further additons to to the storylines(quests) were unique content for various races which again causes problems with how to switch and going against the gameplay style of Runescape. All of these problems lead me to the conclusion that such an update would be very unlikely to occur within Runescape, though could very well work in a different style of gameplay or with a less developed game. Ps. I just happened to have a half finished essay about this on my computer from a few months back.

Can't you simply count the total number of runes given to you compaired to the amount of pure essence used on the alter? assuming that you are talking about ZMI, every time I have tested it I got no bonus runes as it will give you a message telling that you got some, its just that when you stack two random probabilities it becomes difficult to get 100% accurate answers.
  9. Okay, I am pretty sure that ZMI does not allow the use of the ring, cant be certain as it produces random quantities of the runes so it isn't easy to prove... Runecrafting Glove's (FOG) bonus experince does not stack with the ring's bonus runes. and even though no one has asked, the ring does not stack with The Great Orb Project's bonus experience (You recieve runes at the standard rate; on a side note FOG gloves do stack with TGOP to give triple experience for the normal runes that you make)

  13. Thanks for the notification, it should no longer be on the list of monsters that drop clues. (it was all a matter of an un-verified report of it dropping lv 3 clues)

  17. I researched this and found that the weight of yak-hides is at least 0.45kg and less than 0.50kg. Because of this we will be using the 0.45kg value as it is the most accurate verifiable mass. 27 Yak-hides have a weight of 12kg, not 11kg. In the future, un-equip and bank all items except for what you are weighing, and weigh a sample of 20 in order to get an accuracy to 0.05.

  20. I'd like to be added to the staff list, and while your at it you may want to update the P2P listing's staff lists as several of the staff members have quit, and several have been added such as me.
  21. I can say for sure that you can use stat boosting potions and beers, as I used a greenman's ale to do the quest with 64 herblore. If it doesn't let you start the quest you may have to use an ale when you talk to start the quest.(not sure about wether or not it is needed when you start the quest since I drank it before the first time asking)
