Barrows Setup
Get a black salamander IMO. Cheap way to mage them. You should have the stats for one. I heard that Ice Barrage to freeze them and then black Salamander them works well - lizards have the range of a halberd. For gear, um, torags with mage boosting gloves/boots etc? All the brothers except Ahrim are REALLY weak to magic so a high magic bonus isn't really needed. Use range or melee for Ahrim. I've also heard Fire Surge works well, so if you got Ahrims, 75 att and a SoL might work well.

Dragon Kite anyone?
IMO, your idea could use some tweaking...but, yeah, it wouldn't be hard to release most dragon items w/o a big "release" thing. Frankly, the dragon kite seems useless. Dragon Warhammer could be a slightly cheaper alternative for WaterFiends, but I can't see it being very useful. Dragon C Bow might be useful if they release dragon bolts with it. Dragon Defender would be ftw. I like the idea of a dragon hasta, because I like using controlled and the option to pick attack styles, plus I'd get a shield/defender with it; but on the other hand, it probably wouldn't be better then whip. Tbh, dragon defender and c bow are the only interesting looking ones. The other weapons and kite are, at best, just another alternative weapon for lower-levels to choose from. Whip > dragon weapons. Blessed spirit shield? Yeah.

Upcoming Combat Triangle Rebalance
Gahaha, in PVM, 90% of Scapers probably DO use the same combat type. Melee. There's a few places where range is useful, and even fewer places where mage is useful - but in general, people use melee. I don't think PVP is too bad though. We have people complaining that magic is over/under powered, range seems decent between dragonstone bolts and handcannons (although the firemaking req is kinda bad imo) and melee...Yeah. (Although I don't PVP, because I fail.) Mage is particularly bad in PVM due to the high cost of runes - PVP, costs matter less, especially since since everybody risks their expensive tems.

cash per point
People USE pure ess. Stuff that people use is not junk. Also, Fist of Guthix is a horrible way to train magic at higher levels I'm afraid. Battle Robes are the most profitable thing from FoG though.

The Greatest Triangular Issue.
To be honest, with items like handcannon, ancient spells, arcane stream, it's balanced damage-wise imo. Mage is extremely deadly if used right. The catch is cost - atm, dunge items in PVP don't work well because it's so hard to replace. Once Jagex makes it cheaper to replace items you've purchased before, and adds the second patch of dungeoneering in like the fall or w/e so we have higher floors to gain more exp on, I think we'll be good. The other thing is runes cost too much. The reason people don't train RC that much, or get high levels, is because it's very slow. Still profitable. One idea I have to fix this is to implement more multiple runes per ess. Have multiple runes for ALL runes based on the level for air runes. SO at 99, you could make 10 of every rune. Dunno how well that would go down, but it'd make mage a lot cheaper ;) And actually, in case you haven't noticed, Jagex IS slowly making mage better. The Surge spells are actually pretty decent, Staff of Light, Arcane Stream.....slowly, slowly.... Hmm, to reiterate other ideas, unlimited bolts at the very least is a bad idea. Arrows wouldn't be as bad tbh. As for spells, no unlimited ancients, but perhaps unlimited elemental spells, a tier lower then the best spell you can cast. I.E., I can cast fire surge, so I'd be able to cast unlimited fire WAVE somehow. If this idea is implemented - personally, I don't like it much.

Nomad help
I killed him in Karils/Dragonhide (can't remember) ranged him till berserker mode, used z spear for berserker mode. Took an invent of brews/super restores at the 3 brews 1 restore ration. When I put stuff in my brews, I put in a bit more brews then super restores. I used blood bolts to range, not that the effect kicked in much. When frozen, I re-organized my inventory with my turtle. DO NOT RANGE HIM WHEN FROZEN IF USING BLOOD BOLTS. I didn't bother with boosting potions since, well, I was using saradomn brews. Also, take a combat familiar for when your tort is empty. Kyatt is recommended, or just the high non-mino one you have? Since minos are too damned slow.

Jagex said they're working on making reduced prices for items you lose. Still, don't hold your breath...

The Greatest Triangular Issue.
I really doubt that actually. I think 5 ruby bolts hitting something at once is an instant k0. Also, elemental spells actually give a base of 4exp last I checked, plus a base exp for the spell. The only time you get 2exp a hit is on ancients, when you can hit up to 9 targets a hit. Frankly, I don't see a problem with the ammunition style of play for ranged/mage - personally, I think the only broken one is magic because it's so bleeding expensive. Frankly, I think Boomerangs could work if you want unlimited range hits - makes a lot more sense then unlimited arrows. If implemented, it would be weak for whatever level require it has. A one-off price alternative that's fairly cheap, but not that effective. Same concept for Magic - you'd need say 95 magic for unlimited fire wave. I think I actually posted this idea somewhere... But frankly, I don't think range is too bad as is, magic just needs to boost fire bolt damage and we're good imo. Except maybe at a very low level. But hey, for very low level, you can hit FoG, where you DO get unlimited runes. And yeah, fixing up the handcannon would be nice. Make it not break, more expensive to balance for that, or just a firemaking level where it simply WILL NOT break once you have that level. Although once you get in the 90s I don't think that's a problem. I need 90 firemaking sometime so I can pwn td's with a handcannon and not have two of them explode in under 15 minutes...

Looking for a Dungeoneering Prestige Table
Er, a prestige table cannot exist. Basically, you get averaged exp for the level you did and exp for the amount of floors you've completed. However, things like rooms explored, monsters killed etc, actually affects the base exp number you get for the number of floors completed. So it varies. Complexity presumably affects it too, but I haven't looked out for that. (I do know that on on floor that I missed several rooms on due to a 90+ requirement, I received significantly lower prestige exp.) The other thing about prestige is, exact number don't matter. You get more prestige for more floors completed. If you reset before you get max prestige, you screw yourself over fairly badly, depending on how far below your max prestige you reset at. http://runescoop.com/html/rs_TheRuneScoopUltimateSkillGuideDungeoneering.htm There's a Dungeoneering Guide. Loads of stuff there. Try not to get overwhelmed or lost lol.

Pretty sure the Queen destroys it but that's it.

The Greatest Triangular Issue.
Yes, but if 5 people use it *at the same time* then it will k0 anything except Corp. And Jad, simply cos you solo him. Same time you see. Not consecutive hits. The monster is at full hp when 5 blood bolt specials hit him - each removng 1/5th of his total hp. 5 of them hit him, when he's at full hp. Therefore, all 5 remove 1/5th of his hp. Or LP. Honestly, I don't see any problem with you needing to pay for constant runes or arrows to range or mage with. As long as you can find cheap enough alternatives. Honestly, release a chaos necklace, another item like the chaos gaunlets... Oh, and yeah, the hand cannon is basically this ranged "godsword" you looking for. It could use improvement however. And, erm, the 3x3 effect is somewhat different from the hits 9 targets effect. When you barrage/burst rock lobsters, they're all on ze same square. Assuming your including the multi-target hit with the 3x3 hit.... On second thought, that's not a bad idea. Not that I support the UNLIMITED effect idea....but if people still needed runes to consistently use the ancients effect, then perhaps this staff idea isn't a bad idea. I'd rather see some rune usage though..... I think doing something a long the lines of this with elemental spells is a better idea. More like a Fire Surge staff that saves 90% of the Fire Surge runes. I still disagree with the concept of unlimited runes/arrows. And I still fail to see how you wouldn't be able to instant k0 something with the blood bolt special if the monster gets hit with 5 of them at the same time.

Slayer tasks
Honestly, just block whatever you want and whatever you like the least. There is no universal block list - every monster that someone hates, someone else will go, hey, that's not too bad! Wyverns - guide here on how to safespot them. Works well. (Must be unagressive.) Waterfiends - great charms, you don't need those, but they really aren't that bad of a task if you have the gear for them. Pretty sure it's profitable if you do it right. If you don't like it, block it. And with (I think) 250QP, you can block Waterfiends and Wyverns without unblocking something.

Full Torags isn't too bad if your on a bit of a budget. And, um, train summoning.

The Greatest Triangular Issue.
I think your crazy when you say it wouldn't affect RC or fletching. That, to me, sounds like saying unlimited food wouldn't affect cooking because people don't cook for money. Range ammunition all comes from people making it. They make it with fletching, Whether or not they make a profit, it still comes from this. And what makes you think no one makes bloods? Or deaths? Or, how about F2P'ers making, I don't know, elemental runes? Maybe RC would get a BIT of a boost when this would hypothetically come out, but in the long run it would kill the spell. Think about it - if you have unlimited combat spells, are you going to train via alchemy/teleporting? No. Thus bringing the demand for those runes SIGNIFICANTLY down. As for the Ranged Godsword, that's a stupid name for it. Also, why is it suddenly 58M? You either have it as a drop, in which case supply/demand affects the prices, or you have it from a shop, in which case 57m is a stupid amount. If your proposing to make this an Arma GW drop, say so. However, one of the key things about dragon bolts is, however expensive they are, people don't usually buy many in one sitting to use.... Also, one of the key things about Ice Barrage, and other Ancient Spells, vs Enchanted Bolts. Enchanted bolts come into effect randomly. It could be overpowered if people got to CHOOSE when to use their special. Especially the "blood" bolt special; if you got a team of what, 5 rangers, using their spec at the exact same time, it would k0 any and everything in the game. Except Corp. 20 rangers would be needed, but still instant k0.,,, As for ancient spells - the effect of those ALWAYS kicks in. I think much more reasonable ideas are things like Battle Robes that don't require recharging. Still a rune cost, but less so. And maybe you can cast unlimited ELEMENTAL spells, but at a lower tier. Example: At 95 magic I get unlimited Fire Wave. Maybe boomerangs for ranged, makes more sense - and these weapons would be powered down, to not overpower existing stuff. Gives people a cheaper option while not rendering certain skill and weapons obsolete..... And the fact that there's many other of these types of threads in other forums is no reason to deliberately put YOUR thread in the wrong forum. (Especially with what I consider very ill-conceived ideas.) Frankly, with broad bolts, I think ranged works decently as is. Fairly effective at not too too high a price. Maybe a slightly cheaper, less effective alternative could be implemented. As for magic, frankly....if they made a cheap-ish staff that still had some rune saving abilities, cheap, non-degradeable robes that do this, and add more items like the chaos gauntlets, that would fix a large part of mage. (Seriously, chaos are lke 50ea atm. With battle robes, SoL, Arcane Stream, you'd save a lot of runes while potentially hitting 20+. Only problem is these items are harder to get for lower levels. Maybe add another, easier to get necklace, that boost the power of chaos spells? That'd fix a hell of a lot of the combat triangle.) And I'm barely even trying.... EDIT: Ok, your Dragonfire crossbow idea kinda works. Cos you need 10k bolts. But, erm, handcannon? I'd rather get 90 firemaking then 10k dragon bolts. Fix that thing up a little, and you have a very powerful ranged weapon. Hell, it still works fairly well now, despite the un-official high firemaking requirement to use it without it exploding too often. Ranged can work better, in a sense, for PVP then powerful melee weapons - you spend a (relatively) small amount on a ranged weapon and ammunition to PK with, VS a large amount on a melee weapon. You don't have to worry about the melee weapon running out, but if you die, you lose much more. (Depending on if your in a protect item world or not.)

Keeping Runescape Enjoyable, Productive, and Fun!
So, basically do stuff till you stop finding it fun anymore? lol Really gotta add minigames to that list...Something I don't do often enough on RS is minigames for my own enjoyment. Particularly FoG and BA. Temple Trekking can also be fun every now and then.... Oh, sorry, activities, not minigames. And apparently fish flingers is entertaining, I've yet to try that one out.

Akronolir - The Dwarven Mage
Have I mentioned that I think the response "tl;dr" should be a reportable offense? The most polite way I can see it being used is an acknowledgment that a person has made a topic/post. As for the story thing, it seems kinda interesting, you (or at least I) don't see people role-playing with RS very often. Pity you have to use a human avatar >.> Also, I've managed to do the Knights Sword by myself on a level 3. I think. If your not worried about dying (if you just bring a bronze pickaxe you won't lose anything of value) you can probably manage to do it.

WHat dung pot boosts summoning lvl?
Jagex scales the bosses to the groups combat level, with 5 people you get bosses in the 400 or 500 range. I wasn't there, but I'll wager that if your group took time to prepare the right armour for the boss, get food and potions, you would've done fairly well on it. (Oh, and crafted a bunch of air runes for money.) As for 99 RC, you haven't paid that much attention to Dunge. Jagex has stated that, for some reason that makes sense to them. they sometimes put in requirements for doors that aren't required to beat the floor in the 95+ range, no matter what your stats. I think it follows the same logic of token requirement for an item forcing you to get, say, 20 levels above the actual "level" requirement of that item. (In fact, I think, could be wrong here, the only item that the level requirement comes AFTER the token requirement is the arcane pulse.) Really doesn't make sense that they calculate token and level requirement seperate, since the amount of tokens you have is somewhat a function of your level. That's a bit offtopic. Not entirely sure why Jagex puts in random high-90s requirements on certain levels (irregardless of anyones actual level.)

Slayin' Styles
Definitely not a power slayer. Don't touch potions at all (honestly, I just don't LIKE using potions, save em for bosses), I can't think of any task I pray at except for waterfiends....I'll still use cannons on dags but that's about it.

It IS a rule, it's just not enforced
I don't know. If you report someone who appears to have been splashing the same spider for two days in a row... To the above poster, there isn't much of a difference in my mind between botting and the specific kind of AFK training which lets you spend hours or days at a certain spot. But really, that's only Bandits and splash training.
