It could be pretty fun actually. First you build your ship. So you get all sorts of wood, metal, etc. Then you sail, and discover new unmaped islands, battle with pirates, dig some treasure, go do some diving, find some new fishing spots and fish, discover eastern(asian-like) lands, new gear, host parties on your boat, team-work minigames, battle other players in boats, new dungeons, battle big sea monsters along the way, and so on. Would be amazing.

Or how bout.. no? Nothing beats having your OWN stuff.

The only way to know for sure is to make an investigation. Most of us don't really go into f2p anymore except on short occasions. Get somebody neutral and fairly intelligent, send it in f2p, to spend couples of days in each f2p cities, seperating the time in most-done activites. So for instance, in varrock: one day killing guards, one day mining ores, one day at the GE, one day smithing things, etc. In fally: One day killing guards, one day mining in guild, one day in dwarven mines. And so on. Then make the person take screenshots of "notable" events. Then at the end examine the evidence and see what f2p really is.

Felt like f2p bashing =] Nothing difficult in paying 6 dollars a month. Either you're a brat, and your parents won't let you, in which case youre better off in f2p. Either you are amazingly poor, in which case you should sell your computer and go work instead of playing mmos. Either you like it in f2p then no point in having this conversation. You won't get good answers asking it on this forum. Something like haft of the forum are fanboys who never tried anything but one or two other mmos . As usual, this is what they're going to say, very fery predictable: "RS is just SOOO good for java!" "And it's browser-based!" "WOW fans are idiots!" "And WOW is expensive!" How so? Almost everyone I see upgrade from rune kite to the obby sheild. An underrated equipment is the dragon spear. But the question is, is obby shield better than defender? I suppose ppl just assume the defender is better but is it rly?

That's just how it works, can't stop progress. Jagex adds new stuff that is better than what was there before all the time, so overtime it's normal everything gets easier and easier.

You embedded 2 questions in one, ffs use your head. Are you satisfied with way your character looks No do you expect that Jagex modifies it for the better?! I want them to, but they probably won't.

The obby maul & granite maul are p2p weapons, so why would a p2p player be worried about keeping their f2p rune 40 attack?

I always thought there could be a nagivation skill or something about boats. Could take like 1-2 years before we get the skill though...

I don't have any ss or gs. For strength training, is it worth it to use obby sword + onyx neck over a dragon scimmy? Or is it just bad?

My favorite are crawling hands, because they drop all those gloves and rings, its like a surprise everytime, idk I just like it. Dust devils are pretty cool too, their summoning cousins too

Lol.. Just leave the damn firelighters alone, they're not hurting anybody. Actually, they look pretty nice. There's a lot of stuff in the game that don't really have a purpose, just leave it, it's just a damn game.

I take a scientific approach, but I only do things I like. So for instance, I won't do something I don't like just because it's the best money/exp hour. I'll just pick whichever thing I like and that's good too, even if I sacrifice a bit of efficency.
