It's not worth the money, as you can imagine. 26-27M for something better than barrows only in specific situations, barrows being best most of the time and costing dirt cheap. But buy it if you do melee all the time, and that you really want it. You seem like you really like it, so just buy it, maybe it isn't the best pragmatic decision but if it's what you want just take it. Barrows sets, DFS. Especially verac, and guthans, you can adapt to any situation. Other than that, you don't need to spend a lot of money on armor.

Oh, and I bet you bought the super-rare and expensive armour to show off to everyone your pixel-figure greatness huh? Oh wait, you can't, you can't even see armors in nethack, oops? Let's just forget you're comparing apples and oranges, and pretend it makes sense. I played tetris. Would you play the game if there were no graphics, at all? Or say, something like stickfigures with cute little paper swords and such, but with all the content with have now, just really pathetic graphics. Graphics play an important part in the game, otherwise it just doesn't make any sense anymore. I'd guess people just get attracted to certain items, how it looks, and they buy it. I can't imagine people just buying something entirely for egocentrical reasons.

I'm glad we got rid of the middlemen, they did nothing but be annoying and rip people off.

In F2P thats pretty much the only stuff you can spend your money on that isnt overly expensive lol The richer ones get rune(god).

In all cases, try to check if surfin has a telephone number you can use to call them, emails are so easy to ignore but a person at the end of a line isn't. What are you on about? Surfpin is a company jagex goes through for paybyphone payments.

Level 1 and 2's are worth it, there's some good stuff in those, and they're quick to get and quick to finish. They aren't an amazing moneymaker, but they're ok. Level 3 is just pathetic, you have something like 1 chance out of 10 000 to get something of actual value, it's like playing the lottery except you waste 30 min-3 hour of your life to buy the ticket, and 30 min-1 hour to process the ticket. Anyway, if you do 3s, do it for the fun, don't expect anything.

Nice topic I don't remember anything. I played since end of 2001, and it's been such a long time that's it's scary. That's 6.5 years. Why have I been playing for so long? I've got vagues ideas of how I trained my melee stats, which is not so bad. I remember ranging at the fenced ogres until 70, then 80+ just happened with normal training. Prayer got to 50 - how I don't know, and I paid 50-64, then 64-70. Magic is the skill I'm most clueless about, I never intentionally trained it, that I know, it just happened, it's 87 now. 70 RC, it's recent, just nats and ZMI. Construction oak larders till 68. Agility is 73, all I remember is that I used to go to the agility arena when I bored so that's what did it. I got 40-ish herblore for legends, then it got to 66 somehow. In Rsc some random theiving to 70, then PP till 88. Crafting is 74 - I remember vaguely crafting leather into coifs. 99 fletch, I don't know what happened before 90, 90-99 was intentional. 74 slayer - no idea, slaying I guess. 69 hunter, kebbits. 74 mining - almost all in RSC, and I don't remember how. 94 fishing because I fished like 20k sharks for a partyhat back in time. 99 cooking, before 92 I don't know what happened, 92-99 was intentional. 75 FM - no idea. 82 WC - I remember cutting maples when I was bored. 72 farming was intentional. Erf long paragraph that nobodys going to read >.<

Junk trading is pretty annoying, but I understand why people do it. Why would somebody sell for a ridiculously low price things like 3rd age when they know it is worth a lot more than that? Anyway, hopefully Jagex will find a way to fix all of it -___-
