Dungeoneering now the new slowest skill to level?
How exactly are you getting 20k xp/hour? I'm 53 dungeoneering with a promethium spear p++ and platebody I'm not even stopping to make armor, and sometimes going to the boss without any food since I can typically handle one without any supplies other than what I spawn with and I'm still only getting 10k-12k xp/hour are you in a team or something? Sorry, 20k xp/h was a slight exaggeration. But if we say a duo can complete three maps in 1 hour, then that isn't a bad estimate on map 23-25. Overall, the levels from 1-25 (which is as far as I've come) i'd say you can get (if concentrated) 14-15k xp/h.

Dungeoneering now the new slowest skill to level?
There are several things we need to consider here. Firstly, we are just starting from level 1 in this skill, and it's bound to be slow. Because of how prestige works, the xp rates per dungeon increases with a lot while you get higher leveled. At level 50, with medium dungeon size, I now get about 6k for a dungeon. Then the next thing that affects this is speed, and teammates. More people in a dungeon means more xp when finishing, but harder bosses, and more time for preparing. If you're playing with people that don't utilize their gear, and levels to get through the dungeon fastest possible, with the highest multiplier you can get without wasting time, then the xp rates sink. This is why most people consider 5-man teams to be a waste of time. At first, it can almost seem like soloing is the best option But when you get better teams, more people that know what they are doing, then it's faster. I used to think that duoing had to be the best xp. But considering how higher skills (not the levels, actual skills) make the dungeons much faster, I realized that trios actually work out quite fast (thanks to some of you guys here on TIF :) ) But when we get even better, and I know that I am not that good yet, perhaps a 4 or 5-man team will really be the fastest xp. This is vulnerable, as it's enough with one weak person to make it slower, but if everyone is good, it might be. Compare all these, and see the fact that I'm getting around 20k xp/h at level 52 now, and put me up at level 100, where I also can bind a third item. And have cleared all dungeons, so it's the max prestige possible. We might see xp rates up to perhaps 60k xp/h. (okay, this is a guess, but you all get my point.)

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I'll try to explain prestige. Firstly. The prestige bonus only comes in on a floor you either haven't done before, or haven't done since you last reset your progress. How big the bonus is, is based on your prestige counter. This increases with 1 for every "new" floor you finish. (for example: doing all floors from 1 to 15 gives you 15 prestige count) But if you reset, witch you might do, so you can continue to get prestige bonuses on your levels. It's now how big your prestige counter was before you reset. When your current counter get higher than that, this becomes the counter that "counts" when calculating prestige bonus. Last, it is (level bonus + prestige bonus)/2 that is your base xp for a floor, before multipliers are calculated.

Does sound like it's the wilderness thing. Considering how the name has "heim" Which means home in Old Norse (which is what the fremennik is build on) it sounds likely. Also, heim is used about an area, inhabitated by someone. In this case demons. It's the same as the real world, Jotunheimen, Trollheimen, Trondheimen, et cetera.

autoers still a problem?
I don't think that people think afk'ing is allowed, it's more of a mix-up in what terms to use. When i normally speak about afk-training/skills. I mean skills that need a low amount of clicking, so I can watch a movie in the same time, or swap over to TIF and read/write here. This is also perfectly allowed, because you are in control of your account at all times, even if your eyes aren't fixed on the RS screen all the time The AFK'ing that is forbidden, is the one where you just start the training, and goes away from the computer, leaving your account to train for itself. Very few believe that this is allowed, and the ones that do it, do a calculated risk, og risk/reward. The benefits of it is about the same as macroing, since you can train without playing yourself, it's only that the game mechanics keep you going, instead of software.

I cannot remove my menagerie!
Yeah, I'll try building a new one, that will probably help. Thanks! And I do have my garden anyway. And that one can't be removed, since I still need my entrance portal.

I cannot remove my menagerie!
Okay. I am rebuilding my house from scratch, and was removing every room in my house. The last room to destroy was my menagerie, but that's where my problem comes: Whenever I try to destroy the room, I get told that I should take all my pets out of the pet house before removing the room. Now I have double-, and triplechecked that I don't have any pets. And I still got the same message. I removed every item in the room, I keep getting the same message. I exited and entered the house, Same message Trying to remove the room from all 4 corners; same message. Lastly, I've tried to log in and out, and I still can't remove the room I'm going to send in a bug report on this, but that won't remove the room before the next system update anyway. So what I'm asking all you about is if you can figure out a way for me to remove this room? Is there anything I haven't thought about?

22-Mar-2010 - Fish Flingers
There's one part that annoys me a little about all these d&d's. It's that they amazingly good xp compared to the input needed. Stars can only be done once a day, but are the best mining xp while you do them, about the same for trees, penguins, no doubt. Shattered heart, more or less. Tears of Guthix; a lot of xp compared to the two minutes or so you spend on it. Getting quite a lot of xp in a little time isn't bad for me, but the time restrictions annoy me. Although they are absolutely needed, to hinder the content to become overpowered, I feel like it's forcing me to do it. Every day, there's trees, stars, b-staffs, mtk, other stuff to buy, now this fishing stuff, and every week there's a lot more. I'm not doing all of these atm, because I usually don't have the time to do them all. But when I don't do them, I feel like I'm missing out on xp that I would get in a faster rate, than just training it normally. But when that is said, I do love these as well. It's just that there are so many of them now.

#7 and #8
Very good! I also happened to notice your signature, where your levels are listed at days. You've gotten that ranging level really fast! (I'd use over twice the time, I guess) Congrats on a 10/10 from me ;)

Do You Like RuneScape's Holiday Events?
I'm perhaps somewhere in the middle. I like the idea of holiday events, and items that show that you played around this or that time. And of course I like the boost it gives to the community. My first "holiday event" was the christmas 04, when I got a yo-yo, although the easter the year after was the first one that really was an event. I liked the older events better (even though I haven't done every event since 04), although I cannot explain why. I don't like the stories too much of the newer ones, and there are really so many holiday items in the game now. This is perhaps into what i dislike the most about the holiday events now: There are too many of them. I would say that having an easter and christmas event would be enough. Adding thanksgiving and All saint's eve as well (which both are very close to each other) makes too many of them, which actually improves the feeling of a chore, instead of something fun. Now for some nostalgia. Remember the easter 05 event? You were supposed to give out eggs to other players. That is the kind of event that I would like, not the semi-quests that we get now. :-}

Shattered Heart Discussion
hmmm. I believed that it was so that after finishing this hunter rock, (or any other rock) the chance of getting the second one is halved. Getting a rock from another skill resets this to 100%. But I think that the fishing rock you say now, would still be 100%. It's not every second rock that is 50%. Just the second one in one given skill, if you try to take both in a row.

The Pacific (from creators of Band of Brothers)
I liked the first episode. It's hard to compare it to the BoB one, since I've seen that several times. But I think it was good. I hope that they manage to get the focus down on the main persons a little more though, I think this episode focused a little much on the outside of the company, and on those two japanese soldiers, if you have seen it, you know which ones I mean. Anyways, I have hopes for the rest of the episodes. I think they can be very interesting.

... A kyatt? I summoned it after my tortoise was out of brews. It does insane amounts of damage, used together with scrolls. I did one try (not serious, so not counted among those eight.) with only brews and a kyatt with scrolls. No weapon. Almost got him down to his spam-attack. I would recommend anyone struggling with getting in enough hits towards the end to use one. It's not like you need the tortoise after it's empty anyway.

Finally!! :D Took me eight tries, although half of them where over a month ago. Funny how I always got him down to the berserker mode, then died, no matter what I did, just ran out of pots. Tried all the different set-ups I could think about. Then I read a quite good guide in the aow, that told me that that idiot doesn't heal when you hide from him, during the stages where he have the three illusions. Helped me calm down enough to get in the brews right, get up my range attack again, and just stop panicing. :D

the 3 weeks journey to 99 def is over!! so now what?
Construction could be a good idea, since gp is worth very little now. And considering construction pretty much is made so it only takes gp to train, it could be smart to do it now, before anything is done from jagex about the inflation. However you won't get 99 with 25m. But if you would like to get it higher anyway, then I would say this would be a good time to do so. :)

15-Mar-10 Lumbridge Catacombs & The Blood Pact
We all start somewhere. I did my first quest on the release date (and therefore before there was any quest guides) of "a soul's bane" and I loved it. I hope that this motivates for doing harder quests without guides as well. In my opinion, quests are really boring with guides, yet they are the most fun part of runescape without them. :)

Deciding what to runecraft.
Lol. Just like before then. I was under the impression that it now would be better to start with astrals some time before 82, and natures before 91 (not that 91 rc is very possible atm)

Deciding what to runecraft.
I was thinking about starting up with some runecrafting again, and I have a quick question to give you guys. What runes would you craft when? Before the update, where you would get either one or two nature runes, and either one or two astrals, the choice was pretty easy. But what are the different profit rates at what levels now? Is astrals worth crafting earlier than before? or would the added nats be worth more than the added astrals. I know ZMI is the fastest experience. But since I don't mind getting some money, and since I can't be bothered with filling up my bank, I'll go with regular runes. If someone is so lovely as linking me up to a spreadsheet about levels/runes, I would be really grateful :)

Olaf's Quest
Just be glad you aren't doing this quest the day of release -.- I tried for hours to get through that part. Not long after I was done (can't remember if it was the next day, or next week) they made it easier to get across. But anyways, just keep on trying. It's all about chance.

Cheating... Or is it...?
The problem if you are going to enforce the rules like that though, will be where to put the line. What about something that clicks. 100x regular speed? 50x? 10, or even 2x "regular" speed. I can set my speed on my keyboard at varying speeds as well. It's much easier to say that holding in a button to get repeated clicks are forbidden, just for the sake of enforcing. Similar things are done with other of the rules anyway.
-
Cheating... Or is it...?
And here's what I think is the difference between legal and unlegal. If you press the mouse button (or the 5 and + button) as fast you can for cleaning, then it's legal, and just clicking skills. But if you hold in a button, and that counts as a lot of repeated clicks, that would be against the rules. In the gray zone, but still against the rules.
-
Cheating... Or is it...?
So what he pretty much does, is the same as if I hold down a button on my keyboard, and creates several of the same signs? Like: "...................." In one click, instead of "." "." "." "." If that is macroing, then it would also be considered macroing when people spam "@@@@@@@@@@@@" right? Although the above example would classify as spam, and be banned anyway thoughl.
-
Cheating... Or is it...?
Even though the mouse is hardware, there has to be some sort of program that you use to assign certain actions to the buttons. And that's that part that I see is agaisnt the rules. Multiple funtions for 1 click. I understood it to be the total opposite. He assigns several buttons for the same command, not several commands for the same button. Much like if you said that when you click, "a" and "s" on your keyboard, you will do a left click with your mouse. Just on his mouse, not his keyboard. I don't think it is unlegal, at least not now. But after seeing how big an advantage this gives, then Jagex will probably either ban the use of re-directed buttons like this (would this then allow using a dvorak keyboard for writing?) or they will, as several persons here have said, make activities dependent on click-speed, a firm activity/minute rate. Much like other skills.
