Death Pile - what is your first instinct?

Kept guth spear, helm, whip, zerker ring because I couldn't find.

If there is something not very valuable (like a shark) I'll right-click and see whats there.

Death piles always end up from highest to lowest cost in general store.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally, I start to click from the top. If there are more people there, I will right click to get the items below because everyone will be fighting for the items on top. Of course all the death piles I've seen are all junky tinderbox etc. so I've never experienced anything good :(

If I play honestly and hunt the kid down that died and gave back his stuff, I know that I'm honest. So that's what I have done in the past and will continue to do. One day being nice will reward me in someway. Whether it's on these forums or not is another thing.

i always right click and choose, because if a phat is there... *non likly but hear me out* wouldn't it be at the bottom, point being the selling price is not always the runescape order price.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also even if some things are worth more... they can be very hard to sell, but i've only come across two, maybe three death piles and i've gotten everything each time.

I right click it :wall: #-o :wall: :wall: #-o . That usualy turns out to be bad, since most death piles I find are in crowded places... Like the time I found 3k sara brews on the ground... I right clicked it first, and saw that it was a sara brew. By the time I got to it it was gone . At least I got 500 yew longs :? .

If someones there, i click wildly and if someones not there, i still click wildly b/c i don't know how long the items have been on the ground.

Well I usualy get death piles at barrows (and always at/near chestfor some reason and theres never anyone to claim so I just get it all \ . However I did get one lucky pile at the slayer tower. Looked past the wall and saw a wealth (little did I know the pile concealed a BLACK MASK :XD: !) Noone there so I sifted through in my own time :

i just click the pile and see what happens then.

 

 

 

i got to see one recently, and i was the only one there, so i just L00t the pile as if it was about to disappear

 

 

 

note: i am not a looter of corpses in areas like the wilderness, but seeing a 400k+ death pile would get anyone to react that way.

if im alone i pick up everything i can carry with droping food or somthing else worthless on a different square.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if im in a group i make sure i have some open invintory space and right click figuring everyone else is mashing their left butten.

If it was my death pile (as stated by another player,) I would get my Fire Cape first, but considering i've recently lost it, along with a Guth helm/Spear, Whip, Rune boots, Barrows gloves, Rune defender and a DDS, it doesn't matter what i take from a pile, usually though, I right click a pile after clickin on the middle item(randomly), if i'm lucky, i'll get something decent.

I click on the pile and on my way there i right click to check it for goodies.. I usually dont go around lookin for the people that that items belong to bc i don't have time for that but if they come to me and tell me what it is they lost i usually return depending if i've been annoyed or not that day

as the looser of over 2m in death and chaos not to mention things of lesser value (deffender,yada yada ) it would be nice if ppl returned stuff when you died caus of lagg.

what about returning it because the person was stupid? lol I met a guy at gargs while training slayer and he went to leave. soo he walks down the stairs to the specters no nose plug and dies... PMs me and asks me to grab his wonderful goodies down stairs.. I returned his stuff... Should i have kept bc he wasn't smart enough to run or bring a nose peg?

When in Edgeville randomly looting, looking for a few sharks, I right click then left-click.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you just left-click you have a small chance of getting something, as other people are also trying to get it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you right click you get it all to yourself :D

You ALWAYS right click the death pile. Because most broken barrows items go to the bottom (like a spear :pray: ) or a rare will always go to the bottom.

Items are placed in their shop price order, the most expensive being on top. Of course, shop prices are not very accurate. whip prices are 60k so they may be placed under some more valueble items. same for party hats, which are 2gp. So really I think your best bet is to firsty right click everything just to get a quick overview. If there's something you immediatly like, take it first. then go from top to bottom.

I was barrowing today on my third run. While searching for the treasure room, all of a sudden I see rune platebody lying on the floor next to the door. I start clickin like a mad man cause I didnt see the owner die. Rune Plate body, legs; Mystic hat, boots and gloves; Full Black dhide set, Dragon Mace, Glory, Ring of wealth (proves it was a noob) and 58 Addy arrows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So after I click thru all that gear, I see shark but it fades away. My discussion is this?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Should I have right clicked to see if anything obvious for the taking is available first?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Does the pile get sorted in any kind of order (high to low value)?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Was sorry I didn't see the owner. Might have been good opportunity to make a new friend. Didnt get jack when I searched the chest but 200k worth of goodies is nice reward. But I sure hate merchanting.
