This is really really suprising, I mean 11-13 year old kids in a classroom with other people in the room? on top of that, a 13 year old kid in a 5th grade class would be borderline clinically [developmentally delayed]ed. Having sex in front of other children, that's equally disturbing. To be honest, I'm probably more upset with the response of the general public than I am with the inccident itself. Having sex at that age is one thing, doing it in front of other children who probably don't want to be witnessing it is another. The teacher did leave on an important occasion and 15 minutes is hardly a long time. Plus the kids had someone to warn them so they wouldn't get spotted... The students were arrested Tuesday at the Spearsville school in rural north Louisiana, authorities said. Two 11-year-old girls, a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year old boy were charged with obscenity, a felony. An 11-year-old boy, the alleged lookout, was charged with being an accessory. "After 44 years of doing this work, nothing shocks me anymore," said Union Parish Sheriff Bob Buckley. "But this comes pretty close." Authorities said the incident happened March 27 at the school, which houses students from kindergarten through 12th grade. A high school teacher normally watches the fifth-grade class at the time, but went to an assembly for older students and the class was inadvertently left unattended, Buckley said. The class, which had around 10 other students, was alone for about 15 minutes, he said. "When no teacher showed up, the four began to have sex in the classroom with the other elementary students in the classroom with them," he said. It took a day for authorities to find out about the incident. A student who had been in the class told a high school student about it the next day, Buckley said. The student told a teacher, and school officials notified the sheriff's office. Detectives began questioning students Thursday. School officials did not return calls seeking comment. The students, who were not identified because of their age, were released to their parents after their arrests, Buckley said. They will next be arraigned in juvenile court. A message seeking comment from the district attorney was not immediately returned. Buckley said it was unclear what penalties the children could face. They are 5th graders, not First graders......they cant be left alone for a few minutes?? That is sad when something like this happens and the first thing that gets attacked is everyone BUT the people who were doing wrong. When I went to school we were BEHAVED, we had manners & morals, there wasnt half this crap going on that goes on now in schools. ( Heck in 5th grade boys still had cooties :-X :lol: ) Those children were old enough to be left alone for 15 minutes, its not the teachers nor the schools fault in this. The kids were wrong period & the parents, my god they need to learn how to be parents. Trouble with this is, that becuase there was no teacher, unlike the incident around here, we don't know how far they took thier clothes off and would affect the other kids. But Wow, just wow...If those were my kids the first question I would ask is: "Why the hell did you do that in class? With 15 kids looking?" C'mon...Having sex in one of thier houses at 11 would be alright, but in school and in front of witnesses?! WOW. Although very odd this probably will be more common in the future. I hate to point fingers and hopefully no one finds this offensive. But with all the rap groups growing in numbers, and their more or less revealing music videos is just making this an increasing problem. And the thing is if kids like their music it's only a matter of time until they find their music videos right? Parents might not even be totally aware of how much sex/nudity kids have access to these days. Honestly, even websites like Youtube have in essence and to a lower degree porn, and even though some people help the community by reporting the videos the only thing stopping them is a small little warning.
