well well well. why is yew longbow worth more than raw materials? its fast xp.

 

= it includes alot clicking while stringing.

 

 

 

why is raw shark worth more than cooked? it includes very little clicking. and still pretty goodish xp ;)

 

 

 

why is natures worth more than essence? It includes exhausting and slow progress, with many clicks and danger.

 

 

 

From my opinion, this will incrase the price of natures sligtly from what they could be without the .. hole thing... anyways, the thing is increasing progress into more annoying and time wasting.

The ditch is nice for luring...

 

 

 

 

 

but I agree...It's quite anoying for abyss rcing :(

i havent gone to the ditch yet...but itll probably only take a second or 2 if that to jump over =\ just people are freacking over the fact they actually have to click something now.

 

 

 

Rc already needs more clicking than most of the other skills, this slows down the slowest skill in whole game already and makes it easier for rc pkers. Rune prices probably won't go to direction or another (maybe temporary but shouldn't be nothing too dramatic) but this just makes rc even more unpopular.

 

 

 

If you ask me, Jagex has overreacted here. First of all in most cases people who accidentally get to wildy areas can only blame themselves. The best thing would be a button in the menu for a wildy notice: if you have set it on, it asks do you really want to enter the wilderness and you gotta accept it if you want to. This wouldn't make rcin harder but it would reduce luring and these "accidents".

Of course you can be a lazy scrouge and buy the skill, but that's quite exspensive and still rather tedious.

You really shouldnt be calling other people "slow" when there are flaws in your own argument. Just because it may seem expensive to you to "buy" herblore doesn't mean that it isnt an option. In fact it is the best option for raising herblore to very high levels as gathering your own materials would just take a monumental amount of time.

 

 

 

Of course if you were to exclude things such as buying the skill or pcing the skill, (basically anything that makes it easier for the person leveling) then many other skills such as prayer (gathering your own bones), construction (chopping logs then planking and using them) and several other skills would all be slower than herblore.

I just did some thinking and saw it from an rcers point of view:

 

 

 

Every RC run now has an additional 2 seconds. I can see how this will affect you in the long run. I am just going to say the average run is 20 seconds (I know it is far more then that, I'm just using an example) Every 10 runs you could've had an extra run.

 

 

 

Yes, I go back on my statement, abyss rcing has been nerfed, but don't say rcing has been nerfed as in all of it, as it IS an f2p skill.

 

 

 

Well if you took the proper timing for an abyss run which I personally find to be about one minute to a minute and a half, you will find that frankly it makes barely any difference. So saying that the skill has been "nerfed" is such an exaggeration. I can't imagine the prices of runes would change at all.

If Im honest I think its more of an annoyance than a downright nerf. Its just another tedious part of a tedious skill. I doubt prices will alter though

Be careful when crafting death or nature runes through the abyss. Teleportation block spells are NO LONGER LIFTED when you log out and back in. That means, if you got teleport blocked, entered death altar, then you either wait 5 minutes (2 minutes 30 seconds if you used protect magic which is unlikely if you're abyss crafting), or you walk through the entire temple of light.

 

 

 

I already posted this under hidden updates... I would post it in General P2P but they'd probably lock it and I'd get in trouble again. :(

Sometimes I ask myself: how many people are getting lured nowadays?

 

I think everyone is pretty aware of luring and I also think that most people won't even go to the edge of the wildy when someones wants you to come there to trade.

 

so jagex: Instead of putting a fence to "protect" us from the wildy, make us aware of all the possible dangers of the wildy

im pretty sure tb wears off when u enter abyss. I think it says on news post.

this was on the official forums about how much extra time the ditch will cause you if you're runcrafting for 99

 

On Average it takes 1,500,000 Natures to get 99 runecraft... This ditch takes 2 seconds every rune... I make 50 Natures a run

 

 

 

1,500,000/50 = 30,000

 

30,000 * 2= 60,000 Seconds

 

 

 

60,000/ 60(Minute)= 1,000 Minutes

 

 

 

1,000/60 (Minutes)= 16 hours!

yea, you cant click right up, you have to click somewhere before the ditch, click the one square wide ditch, wait for 2 seconds, click again up to continue your running...

 

 

 

i havent time it, because i am f2p right now, but i can experience the annoyance already... :evil:

 

 

 

Or click past the ditch and it will bring you right infront of it

Using the abyss to runecraft isnt meant to be easy. Just be glad its still better than running off to an altar. One second won't kill you, nor will one or two more clicks. Its just as easy as it was before. One second wont dramatically hinder you. Get over it.

At 43 runes per trip, and say you're making 10,000 runes, you're only losing a whole 7.7 minutes with the ditch... Frankly I couldn't care less about the "slowed" runecrafting trips with this data.

 

 

 

Only thing I don't like about this is the simple fact that it's a stupid ditch. Why couldn't they make it something cool, like a big lava moat you hop over or something <.<

As for whether this nerfs the skill, if you click efficiently enough, it has absolutely no affect on times... maybe an extra 1/2 second at most...

It's not about how longer it takes to cross it, it's just the extra annoy and attention you have to have.

 

Now ppl are going to Rc even less...

I agree. Rc is already as boring as...anything. :wall: Why make it worse. :-k

 

One click....Is that what people are stressing over?

 

I mean come on....Its going to add 2 seconds to an abyss run, really no big deal.

 

Its already pretty insane cash, at 10k nats at 43 per trip, 7minutes is about 60k cash you could have earnt before without the extra 2 secs per trip.

oh no an extra click now rc is dead. poor you, can't get exp and cash as fast as you used to.

 

 

 

Jagex needed to do this. people complained of Lurer, lurer, lurer. finally when jagex stops it people complain their method wasnt the best.
