how common is the firecape?

i always see massive amounts of people wearing them in good pest control worlds, in my oppinion its a little more common then fletching, id say about 16000 people have one?

I'd say 1 in 200-300. You have to remember all those lvl 40s in addy who just got membs. Pest Control would make it seem like more players have them because it's the most common place for someone with a firecape to be.

That doesn't mean that people didn't have fletching 99 before the fire cape came out, there was just an increase of people who decided to get the fletching cape.

And fletching (and definately fletch-x) came out before Tzaar cave and was one of the easiest skills to level. You also gotta rememer that getting the fire cape requires pretty high levels, preferably in many skills, good equipment, little practice and luck. It's nothing compared to farming which can be profitable, you risk nothing at it and you basically don't need anything else than a hatchet, a bit of cash or some bows to start "merchanting" with.

 

 

 

I'd personally say it's somewhere 1:500 to find a person with a firecape. They might be pretty common sight in few specil places, but that's it. That 1:500 is based on my own beliefs. There's somewhat 200,000-350,000 paying members and at least I can't belive there would be many thousands with the fire cape with all these low and middle-leveled characters.

I'd say it's kind of in the middle in terms of rarity, some places you'll see them all over, other places you'll never see one. I want one either way :P

Depends. Some ppl may have it but wear a skill cape instead. Some people have the full capacity and lvls to gain it, but don't because they don't care.

 

 

 

It's not rare, any normal-stated lvl 100+ could get it. There's a lot of 100's+ nowadays.

a firecape is the best looking cape, but i dont respect people with it, i can get it in 1m and 2 hours time, it takes 13m exp to get a 99 cape, and 26m to get a trimmed cape, any skill cape is better imo. i care less about a firecape

I however would take the guess that their are more fire cape owners then their are any other skill cape owneres...prolly around 15k maybe 20k in total.

I dunno, 16k seems about rite. With all the guides and methods out there, they're not as hard to get as they used to be. I'm going to get mine as soon as I get 70 ranged.

well there are 1 million people with theiving ranked, so therefore 1 million members, i'd say theres about 15-30k fire cape owners among them.

 

 

 

some people, regardless of stats still cant get fire capes, but could easily get any of the skill capes, some people are beter at combat, some beter at skills.

 

i am a terrible skiller, i've never even had the patience to get a combat stat to 99, let alone something like fishing (not ranked at level 55, FTW! :thumbsup: )

*thinks back to last night when i finally had a chance to get my fire cape that i lost on monday back*

 

 

 

Im not so sure about fearing doing fight caves all over again is the reason people dont wear the cape...If you can do it once you will be able to do it again...specially with better stats.

 

 

 

Its just that before the skill capes...there were only 2 decent capes to wear for combat...the obby cape and the fire cape...

 

 

 

both are still quite good but everyone wanted to be different so if they had a fire cape they woul always wear that...

 

 

 

NOW...however... for almost the same stats and only a 99k re purchase tag...many people dont feel the need to train in a fire cape becuase their skill cape makes them stand out. Not to mention i personally believe more people are training skill now then before skill capes were out
