April 29, 200719 yr Well I have been going for 99 Firemaking (currently 91) and my favorite place to burn logs is the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. In my time spent there I have noticed that there aren't a lot of players going around saying, "Wut u Brning?" or "Wat ur fm lvl?" Instead theres a bunch of people who mind there business or have a nice conversation with another person with no interruptions. I see people doing skills there wether it be fishing, fletching, firemaking, or gathering seaweed for crafting. Its all very calm with no interruptions from annoying players following you or asking you mindless questions. I enjoy being in this company of people who actually act mature, and have played the game long enough to know what things are and how they work. Now I was thinking to myself, why is this place such a haven for things like this? Well due to the somewhat steep skill requirements, the Piscatoris Colony requires someone who has played the game for awhile and has done a variety of things to get into it and access the benefits it has. Here are the Requirements for Swan Song. 100 Quest Points One Small Favour Garden of Tranquility Level 66 Magic Level 62 Cooking Level 62 Fishing Level 45 Smithing Level 42 Firemaking Level 40 Crafting Now these aren't tremendously high levels, but they require some effort to get. But the main reason I consider the Piscatoris Colony a "Guild" is because it's "Hidden" so to speak from other players, meaning that noone except the people inside can see that you and others are in there. Making it completely separate from the rest of the place. Now, I ask for your opinion, do you consider the Piscatoris Fishing Colony a Guild?
April 29, 200719 yr No I consider the Piscatoris Fishing Colony as more of a, well, fishing colony than a guild. Ask me whether I think the Cooking Guild is a guild because some might argue it lacks quality, then I might grant you a slightly more sensible response. There are also other places that offer better quality conversations, W99 Edgeville is a good example of this most of the time. Not when all the arguing pures come out to play though, they do my head in. :-w
April 29, 200719 yr i consider it a place to fish monk fish.. not a guild so a colony it is indeed a very nice colony 99 Fletching 99 Cooking 99 Thieving 99 herbloree 99 magic 99 crafting 99 smithing 99 attack 99 strength 99 defence 99 hitpoints99woodcutting 99mining 99 fishing 99 firemaking 99 hunter 99 prayer
April 29, 200719 yr It's drearey there, bad music, and no one is ever around. And its soo far out of the way. here!
April 29, 200719 yr Author Its not all that far away. Use fairy rings with code AKQ and bam your like 20 seconds away from it.
April 29, 200719 yr It's always nice to go to the fishing colony when you're fishing or something, and the quest requirements keep the noobs out. It's one of my favorite places in rs. Fishing colony, lyeta, fally west bank, and ape atoll. Ponies!
April 29, 200719 yr I agree, I haven't fished there in ages but last time I did for a long while, I met Grey Willows, one or the top 5 fletchers with 200m exp. We had an interesting conversation about the runescaoe economy. She being a fletcher/hi-alcher for money, me being a merchant, it was pretty cool. Most other fishing spots are full of morons. Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2hBarrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail
April 29, 200719 yr I would not call it a guild, thing is its new its fresh give it time... People will start doing the quest and bug us all... - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
April 29, 200719 yr I'm rarely there. Too far of a walk when you just could out private chat friends. Quit RuneScape :)
April 29, 200719 yr i like a nice chat, but there are so few people there click my sig for my blog!!!Thanks everyone for the sigs they pwn!No. Why should i give presents for someone in rs?Most selfish thing I've ever heard
April 29, 200719 yr If more people started using then i would probably go their but fishing guild is still nice to be if you talk to friends. Blog to all 99's! Look here to find out how im doing it
April 29, 200719 yr i consider it just a nice city. i love piscatoris and leyta, and if i get to the craft level for lunar (hate crafting) i think ill love lunar isle to.
April 29, 200719 yr It's drearey there, bad music, and no one is ever around. And its soo far out of the way. you can listen to other music or play other music and there's always tons of fishers around. Just use a fairy ring to get there as well. I love that place, its always fun to hang out there. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
April 29, 200719 yr You do have a point. I like to call it a 'No-noob zone' :D Everyone is always nice and you can always have a good conversation without someone else butting in. Everyone is also very respectful there too. I saw Zezima firemaking there a while back and no one said a thing about it. No one bothered him or anything. They treated him like a normal player and I like that (It's a big releif off the usual crowd Zezima has following him )
April 29, 200719 yr I havent been there (I think i havent got ANY of the skills requires for the quest, besides qp [188 qp ftw]) but it seems a great place to be. I would call it what it is meant to be called though. A colony, not a guild. ~ W ~
April 29, 200719 yr I wouldnt call it a guild, but it is definatly compareable to a hang out for more mature players. I've met a lot of cool people there. a few of them are on my list. i've seen many famous players as well. not much of a guild, just a quite get away from the hustle and bustle of falador.
April 29, 200719 yr Well, I really do love that place. I powerfished there for like 7-8k monkfish to get 76 fishing, and I met a very good friend there. I was only level... 95 at the time, and she was level 124, but we had some very nice conversations. Apparently she was a mother, as she said "I'll be back later, I have to pick up my kids from soccer practice." :D Anyway, she was one of my best friends... A few months later she stopped logging on though: I guess she retired. Anyway, another strange thing was that during then, it was when I joined TIF :D Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Contact Via PM on forums.
April 29, 200719 yr I wouldn't consider it a guild. More of a place to hang out. Now if jagex made a place that required you to have all 50+ skills, and 90+ combat and a 1450+ total and a quest to get in, it could be called a guild. Actually, that's kind of what that place is... Well, I guess you could call it a guild. I mean, the warrior guild just a building with a combat level requirement. The fishing colony is just a city with a non combat level requirement.
April 29, 200719 yr as fishing isn't one of my favourite skills I dont fish that often but when I do its always there.. its fast exp and also the company is among the best in runescape...
April 29, 200719 yr It would be great if the floor wasn't grey, if it was grass it would cheer the place up alot and be a geat place lol. It's a nice place to fish, as people just get on with everybody there, theres never any arguments and quarrels. Want to be my friend?
