Anti-More ftp bankspace thread!

I am F2P, and I get around very easily with the currect amount of bankspace. Not once have I had to get rid of anything because I was out of space. I spend the majority of my time skilling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is a picture of my bank, and I have a good two lines left. The bare necessities are here, with some temporary items.

 

I am wearing 10 items, saving 10 more bank spaces and keeping somewhat lightweight.

 

 

 

I get along from day to day very well. I'm not saying more bankspace is a bad thing, in fact it would be a very welcome addition, but I don't really need it right now.

i was just wondering of all the people who say well they should just pay the 5 dollars it isnt that much... and member here by the way. How many of you do your parents actually pay that 5 bucks for you since i guess 5 dollar isnt alot when your not the one paying for it?

while this thread isn't about ptp bank space, i will mention that ptp bank space is definitely restricting. you really can't work on more than one members skill at a time or your bank will fill up (for example, you can either work on farming or herblore, but doing both will fill up your bank very quickly)

You guy get so much more then us Ftp-ers Yea you have about 5 times as many items but if u think about it most of your items are really pointless think about how many items you guy have in your bank that you will most likely never use.

 

 

 

And if you want to know yes i was a member. I was a member for 2 (ened in novemeber)months then my parents stopped trusting the internet when my grandparents had their identities stolen. I tried every skill when i became a member (and hopefully not last) for the first time unidentified and identified,i had potions, quest items, herbs, mini game items, everything. and I still had about 1/4 of my bank space left.

 

 

 

Well i didnt type all that i wanted because i forgot most of it as i was typeing but i probabaly post again sooner or later. Sleep for now Band Camp is soo hard

 

 

 

FIVE times as many items? try at least 100 times as many items. a fair amount are pointless (like quest items, stuff like burnt bones, etc) but a lot are also important. and you really can't experience the full member... experience in only 2 months.

actually, if you check the first post and the first few pages of discussion, a lot of people quote a statement from jagex where they say they basically break even on the ftp version.

 

 

 

Think about this ya idea bashers, think back to when YOU didn't pay to play the game. didn't you wish you had more bank space?

Dude don't be mean... if jagex don't give ftp more bank spaces they'll leave... Without f2p... p2p = um... "s".... you know.... I been f2p... the bank space is jsut isnt;t enough... If i was still f2p all i ask is an extra 12 bank spaces...

people who don't think ftp needs more bank space aren't selfish. it's just that there's no reason for ftp to get more bank space and the time jagex spends making that update could be used for updates for members, who pay for the game to be constantly updated.

I know absolutely nothing about java programming but if it is like any other programming it would take all of two minutes to give f2p more bank space and type into the next update 'btw, we gave f2p more bank space.'.

 

 

 

The arguement that jagex should spend their time on members is more or less crap because the majority of items and stuff f2p want would take less than two minutes to add. So please, don't say that.

i think the reason why Jagex hasn't given ftp bankspace yet- and trust me they probably should of years ago, its always been a problem- is because they don't want people to be ftp FOR LIFE. they want all of the people on ftp to be:

 

1. people just trying out the game, so that they might become a member later,

 

2. members that lost their membership for a while because they dont have the money at the time or are having credit card problems,

 

3. people who have a member acount and are just fooling around or pking or watever on their ftp acount.

 

 

 

as you can tell, all of these people have or will pay Jagex at some point.

 

 

 

another thought is that not only when you become a member do you get several more skills, much more map space and tons more quests, but you also get the ability to train just more than just a few skills.

 

 

 

if you're a ftper, if you train combat, cooking and fishing, then you could easily have a full bank.

 

 

 

if your a member, you have the ability to train all the skills avalable to you and still have bankspace. or at least i do...

While these arguments are sometimes valid, I believe that the biggest f2p bank space problems are random event stuff and noobness.

 

 

 

Noobness can only be solved with experience. At some point in one's runescape career, the adventurer will have to make the descision between the pile of ashes he/she might need, and that rune pickaxe. Tough.

 

 

 

Full zombie, full prince, and several mime spaces in my (f2p) account are, well, space consuming. F2p should be allowed a way to store random costumes. Unfortunately, with the release of the P2p costume room, there is no reason why they should allow costume storage. This is yet another incintive to acquire members: "become p2p, store your costumes out-of-bank!" I don't agree with this.

 

 

 

There needs to be some regulated way of allow this costume room to be of greater advantage than another way of storing, which should be accessible by f2p.

I've got more stuff than I can keep in my bank, I'm p2p. I want atleast 8x whatever extra space F2P gets. If they get to keep some of their quest stuff then I should be able to too.

 

 

 

I have 8 skills more than them. I've got an extra 100 quests (100 was a guess.. I haven't counted) over F2P.

 

 

 

I'm paying for Jagex to make that update, they are not. I should get treated accordingly so.

 

 

 

 

 

And I'd also like to be able to rent f2p costume room storage or something of the sort. I'd love the opportunity to charge people to use my costume room. I'd be ok with f2p getting extra space that way since they'd have to pay members a rent fee.

I have enough space for the necessities, but i am beginning to run out with all the randoms and other stuff i keep getting. I have cleaned out my bank various times and have realized that i have dropped over 500k worth of stuff from my bank in the past year.

Think about it though. Did you hear the uproar when F2P got the party room. When i went to it they were spamming like crazy about F2P getting an update. Members think that F2P should never get more than a few graphic updates a year. I understand that they want to get what they paid for, but to not want other ppl to get anything is just evil.

 

 

 

i hate f2p whining about getting updates, and i hate members whining about f2p getting an update, they both are just dumb kids that want it their way...

and to be think about it, if only f2p would get something to store those items somehwere else so it would not affect their bank space i think the whole problem would be solved, (it just has to cost very much to store them or it has to be not so easy to get them back or something)

 

because when i was f2p (2 years ago) i dropped my mime mask becouse of to less bank space (and more things but i don't get mime so often) and there are coming more and more random event clothes, so if only that would be solved, in a fair way

i think we have plenty of bankspace. until they come out with a whole group of items, or an entirely new skill, even members have too much bankspace!

 

 

 

On free2play, if you organize and manage your bank, you dont need more bankspace than you already have. i managed for a long time with only like 1.5 pages of bankspace, and STILL had room to spare. if these people would just clean out all the worthless crap from their bank they would have plenty!

 

 

 

As a member, i never use more than maybe 2-3 pages tops, and thats if i haven't cleaned out my bank or anything. i saw there is enough, my friend however had his bank filled to the rim. i told him to clean it out, i even went to his house and helped him! when i was done he had made 100k, and had less stuff in his bank than me! his bank was filled with bronze picks, bronze stuff, quest items from quests hed done months ago, and satchels! (which dont stack in the bank wtf?)

 

 

 

so all in all, there is plenty, if not too much bank space already!

With the free version, we basically break even, but of course this version is very important to us as it brings in new players and introduces more people to the game.

f2p have enough bank space, I never ran out of bank space when I was f2p, I have only been short on bank space in members (literally need about 3 more rows)

a woodcutting autoer: enough space for logs normal-yew, and a bronze wc axe... maybe the others if their program allows it.

mining autoer- ore bronze/tin to coal, and a bornze pic, aqnd other pics maybe...

Yeah lol I know, I sift through my bank removing junk regularly, but I still usually have to equip something in order to not drop stuff that I need to use (oh, I barely train construction so I don't have anywhere to put my lunar - but I shouldn't be forced into training con just for more bank space if I dont want to use that skill)

 

 

 

Oh and.. mining autoers only mine ess (at least.. I havn't noticed any other mining autoers since 2002)

Yeah... well I have a thing against buying anything that is often autoed (I don't buy planks, yews, nats etc)... Coming to think of it.. why didn't jagex let ppl make their own planks >_< U can build a mansion but not saw planks... and the mill guy rips u off, 3 logs (yeah lol each "log" is 3 in the sprite) for 1 plank, OMG lol. :wall:

yeah i made my house for several reasons: the unlimited glory telly, a place for me and my friends to hang, a place for my clan to have meetings, a place for me to store my stuff and still keep it, and for the telly room. i can telly to canfis anytime without being on ancients

 

 

 

and as for mining autoers, i see them all the time in the dwarfen mine in falador, and some other mines that are out of the way for normal peeps.

 

 

 

(also do what i did, get to lvl 45, then get the materials for the best flatpacks for the costume room, since you will need alot of space in each thing, then have some sap make the flatpacks for you.)

 

 

 

edit to the edit: yeah i know what you mean, so instead, why not get your OWN planks, and get some sap with 99 construction make the flatpacks for you. save alot of time and bankspace

I had to comment on this. I think his post was very badly worded but what he meant is right.

 

 

 

before Jagex gives any great update to the Free to pay players they should consider the paying high levels. They have been around the longest and worked the hardest.

 

 

 

I don't think F2P should get more bankspace purely because they don't need it. Unless they were former members trying to hold their old items I don't see why they need it. members have to conserve on bankspace too.

alright lets see... there is several items a 120 can get that a 60 could not. (at least not without buying it)

 

 

 

as for the free2play, they wont do ANY free2play exclusive updates, however they might do some for both members and free2players. they do things for free2play along with members, because the free2play is to give new people the experience of the game, to enourage them to become a member.

 

 

 

and as for your idea on boycott, they wouldnt care even if you were zezima. they have OVER 1 MILLION (1,000,000) PAYING MEMBERS, (THATS ALOT OF 0'S, AND ALOT OF MEMBERS) that adds up to over $5 million a month! and that isnt even counting what they get from sponsors and advertisments! they make money that way too!

 

 

 

one person, or 100 leaving, they wouldnt care. they care for the entire group (more so for members, but for f2p too because they are future members) but they do not care for a single person.

I think the one thing people are forgetting is that f2p is supposed to be a demo of Runescape, it's there so people can try out the game and get a feel for it, then if they like the game enough they can upgrade to members (for 5 freaken' dollars! Geez people it ain't much!) and enjoy more benefits (such as bankspace).

 

F2Pers asking for more bank space would be like if you went to the grocery store right now, and asked if you could take some food home for free, because you're not sure if you can pay for it.

Well, tbh, f2p doesnt need more bank space. They ask for more space so they can store almost all of their items, yet, we as members can only store about half of out total items, and since when does jagex give to the people who dont pay over the people who support them with $5 a month.

 

 

 

Also, i wish these people would stop with their stupid little rallies and marches, just as the new pc update rallies were ignored, these will be ignored.

 

 

 

And....there are bigger issues in f2p at hand the jagex needs to be dealing with rather than bankspace, how about....maybe...macroers?? why would jagex be concerned over a few f2per wanting more space when there are thousands of macros being produced every day?

I read a couple of posts, and the TC mentioned that F2p is in fact a demo version of the game. (Of course some members say its a demo too, i am a member and i'd disagree with that). Once i read that i went searching in the RS knowledge base to see the sentence saying F2p is a Demo, and not just being implied as a demo, but jagex coming right out and saying f2p is a demo.

 

 

 

If someone can point that line out to me, that'll be great.

 

 

 

Also i think the unlimited bank space should be added in, it certainly would stop members (trust me i've heard self centered members complaining even about the lack of bank space :notalk: ) and free players alike from arguing

It looks like you completely misinturpreted the meaning of the thread.

 

 

 

Anyways, autoers don't even really need that much bank space. They just specialize in a couple skills and only need a space for a few items. So, that sig fails already. :lol:

as a dedicated free player, i can safely say that i don't need more bank space. I have everything i need for every skill, and still room for a frog suit, rune armor, and full sara :mrgreen:

 

 

 

The trick is to just get rid of stuff. let your bank be your motivation. You have 200 lobbies and 500 uncooked, then cook them. 300 yews to sell, then sell them. even as simple as a ruby that you want to craft.

 

 

 

and if all else fails, everything is worth money :P

 

 

 

so, why don't we all quit complaining and play the game. after all, games are supposted to be challenging. Would runescape still be a challenge if you had space to have everything you want in the bank? that one simple chisel or hammer you needed to be conviently placed? to have every change of uniform avaliable to you?

 

 

 

and if anyone makes an argument of the random event uniforms, my gf has all of the f2p random event costumes, and still room for full rune armor, gold wizzard robes, green dragonhide set, and all the skill items. She just keeps a few resources on hand for whatever she works on and high alchs anything finnished.

 

 

 

So, to recap, quit complaining and learn to priortize why you need this bank space in the first place.

Lol.. never thought I'd see a rant like this. But you're right. F2P'ers only argue on bank space because they want space for randoms and other junk. If jagex gave F2P more bank space, it'll be a waste + you'll see more F2P rants about new stuff.
