You just type in /played and it tells you How long you've played on your character, and how long you've been playing this level. It's useful for like, speed training, trying to race yourself to a level. Don't make the same mistake. Reading this information confirmed that jagex does indeed have on record the amount of time we have played. Possibly they could either add that into the "options" settign in-game, or make a seperate spot on the website to view it.
