Dragonkin soon - As told by JAGeX

Recommended Posts

Humour? Ever heard of it? Ever heard of not reading into everything Jagex says hoping to find new updates?

Oh, but since they do infact leak updates all the time, searching for them is a waste, right?

I wasn't searching for anything. We all have a good idea that they will in fact bring Dragonkin back some way, some how. Hopefully thinking this is a good clue as to it may happen. And they must know that we want them.

My point is they don't just introduce these things into the game(Including stories and quest cutscenes) unless they have a plan for them to be further involved with the game.

While it would be awesome to have a dragon taming skill or whatever, I highly doubt anything will happen.

I think we can agree that, with the benefit of hindsight, some of what the chaos elemental has said has 'come true', and thus we can infer that the Postbag could have some hints in it. I'd first like to point out that this is the first ludicrously obvious hint, and as such I think it's more of a red herring than anything - if there is a hint in this post bag, it's not gonna be obvious.

This does not necessarily mean that we will see the release of the dragonkin any time soon. Jagex has a habit of telling us that they will do something and then either not doing or taking their sweet time over it. This is for many reasons. They range from "Huh, we forgot we said that." to "Yeah, the programmer who was developing that kinda slept with Andrew and Paul's sister, so he's fired now."*

The only news items from Jagex you can use as actual predictions are the Behind the Scenes, otherwise the only way to reveal that the Chaos elemental predicted something is to use hindsight, which is always 20/20.

*May not actually have happened, but if Andrew and Paul have a sister, Jagex is a big company with office Christmas parties... you never know what might have happened...

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

They might be on the new island. Since that island is untouched from before the godwar. Wich also means wyverns could be alive there.

Or the island is just a lame rock filled with other rocks wich have stuff in it.

They will return *some* time. You never know, maybe next year, maybe in a decade.

Even if Jagex is going to release the dragonkin fortress, I'd be amazingly scared. Didn't anyone watch the cutscene in a tail of two cats? Robert the strong, strong being in his name, with his panther sidekick. Got ripped to shreds. His panther got one hit by the dragonkin and bob if I remember rightly died? I can't remember but anyway, if they are released run for the hills...

I watched the cutscene of that on Youtube, and if you call what Robert fought, strong...that's pathetic. You could use Mage protection or DHides... -.- But if that thing wasn't Dragon Kin then forget what I said.

Stop spamming.

Example of a dream post right there peeps. Containts information, contributes to the subject of the topic, fair enough you can see the writer put a lot of effort into it.

Why do people always have to see crap in what Jagex mods say?

Some tired old Jagex mod posting in the RSOF the 500th time that day:

Yes, you're right The Mysterious Old Man ought to be only available to non members, gah.

Random loonatic idiot:

OMFG IF YOU ADD THE LETTERS IT SPELLS SUMMONING!

YeS, yoU're right The Mysterious Old Man

Ought to be oNly avaIlable to No members, Gah.

Like I said, I can't remember. I did that quest a long time ago but I do seem to have seen some powerful magic. I've also remembered that Dragonkin are supposed to be immortal although they feared each other and so created dragons as their protecters. However the protectees were more powerful than their protecters. So again.. run for the hills, they're powerful mages, have dragons for pets and are immortal... whoo yeah, lets go and kill em... :-k

Actually, Ive had a serious thought. If it is the Dragon weapons that the letter refers to... don't they come from the dimension of fraeneskae?

I've got it. The DragonKin are currently in fraeneskae, and are threatening to move back into Gielinor by the same dimensional tear through which the dragon weapons are coming though.

You people are idiots. No offense but you're being idiots.

I just read the new Postbag from the Hedge a few moments ago. And if anyone has actually done quests and READ the dialogue presented in a few, AKA "A Tale of Two Cats" then you would understand that KIN is not "King Black Dragon" considering the dragon speaks of the KIN and that they're very powerful, and hmm, close to coming back? You could theorize that when it mentioned that us using weapons on the dragons place the KIN closer to coming back, perhaps meaning when we use dragon weapons, that each time we kill a dragon with them, it sends some sort of energy or power to the KIN? And if you have done "A Tale of Two Cats" You could automatically place this as th DRAGONKIN who DISAPPEARED and were HORRIBLY POWERFUL CREATURES.

So stop being idiots saying this is a major assumption, it's called putting pieces together, and whomever mentioned "OMG DRAGON TRAINING SKILL" please stop spamming with pointless idiotic non-humorous posts such as that. (Though I thought the reply that someone did was funny "I could just see someone trying to get the KBD to jump through a hoop!")

-Wolfy

Thanks, nice having someone write what I wanted to say, all I've got to do is quote you =p

That ^^^ is the answer, if you haven't done 'A Tail of Two Cats' then you (the majority of people posting here) should stay quiet.

robertthestrongkv6.jpg

That is not a one-hit on Bob's Panther, he was hit around 5 times to kill him, and Robert is the one doing the 32.

And note; 'The very weapons that make you strong bring Kin's return even closer.' To Americans, and other people with low IQ (kidding.. sort of), this is the present tense which means this: We already have these weapons, they are called Dragon weapons, they are red. There is not going to be some new super Dragon+ weapon to bring the Kin out.

My take...:

Dragonkin are coming back. (Do 'Tail of Two Cats' and you'll know what they are). Dragon (Get it?) weapons make Dragonkin stronger when you use them.

Edit: I find that offensive^^^. I'm one of the 27 intelligent Americans.

There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

I try to avoid attempting to predict things because you just know you will wind up wrong. However I do have some ideas on what they mean. I am not certain about the weapons being dragon weapons (those came over from fenskrae with the majjharat) unless of course dragons are originally from fenskrae (oh hey that would make an interesting plot twist). I know that if I was a dragon, an item that made my breath (my most fearsome attack mind you) do little or nothing to a little bug of an enemy (us humans that is) I would consider it a most deadly weapon as it singlehandedly is allowing these puny creatures to slay something as mighty as a dragon. If you are a little slow on your feet, yes I am in fact talking about the anti-dragon shield. Just because something is defensive doesn't mean it cannot be considered a weapon, you would just would consider it a weapon in a different way than an offensive one. Though as I said I am not attempting to predict anything, chances are it will be wrong. I am just trying to interpret it in a new and different way.
