Before I know about the list, I just kind of train for fun ( I train a lot anyways)

After I know about the list, I kind of wanted to stay top 30th, or even higher.

After playing for so long, don't really care about rank anymore, but its nice to see myself on the list.

 

Wasn't there several responses for people who doesn't want to be on the list, but it wouldn't be accurate if we don't list them? I mean you can't exactly ask Jagex to remove yourself from RS high score. (But I can understand why they want to remove themselves due to various reasons)

Exactly. Sure, maybe you don't want yourself on the list for personal reasons, but for god's sake, removing names off the list by request is like removing the sugar off of a cake. I don't know how many people did this, but ever since the loss of Mauranius, things became problematic for the list.

 

Also, are there any plans at all to expand the list? Probably to 500 or so, Runehead's limit is what I'm thinking. 1.4k total is really tight, considering that by that point, most people either quit or continued their journey as a member. I don't think I'll ever be able to make the list. >.<"

It's a shame such a nolife is just ranked below him, I think if Water keeps up his current pace he will be #6 to 200m.

I used to care about my rank on the list, but that was only when I was addicted. I could be at like rank 40 if I was still addicted but since then I'm around rank 75 because I simply don't care anymore.

Same here, the fact that my rank went from 2 digits (30s) to 3 digits (100s) now means I haven't been keep tabs on things, but that would take too much time. Plus I got other important skills to train in real life too like career and mortgages.

 

I am still training, just very very very slow compare to my old self. Someday, I might set a goal to get one skill to 200mil xp after I got lvl 99 all (and lvl 120 dung), just for kicks (but definitely not cook or firemaking).

Ugh, all this 'potentials' stuff is annoying the eff out of me.

Why can't Jagex just make a hiscores section exclusively for pure F2Pers? :x

As you might have noticed, Highscores are some sort of stimulation to get better.

Directly resulting in more playtime.

Introducing F2P highscores would do exactly the same, but then they'll invest time

and resources into something that doesn't have extra benefits for them/the company.

 

Let's just say that after they release such database for F2P'ers, and nothing changes.

As many P2P'ers & F2P'ers as at this moment.

Then they spent money and valuable time on what? Something that only a few thousand of the many million players actually use? No big deal, but updates should address as many people as possible, not just a limited few.

 

And then the second probability.

After such release, I'm confident that more and more players will be aiming for the F2P highscores as well.

And then I don't only mean current players, but also new players.

Resulting in less and less new P2P'ers? Nah, the difference wont be that big but they still spent money & time, and will be losing on their update, even after release.

 

It doesn't matter how you look at it. It all comes down to the same thing.

They lose time, they lose money. Noone would like that.

 

And besides, are highscores really that important? Don't you just enjoy the game and the people?

Does it always have to be about being the best?
