Utopianflame
[hide=Outline of quest guide] Items needed, hatchet, leather gloves, tarromin x2, water filled vial x2, watering can Food, armor, weapons and prayer potions are a good idea for the giant (and the mice). Talk to Sylas in Taverly, he will ask you to obtain a griffons feather and a particular dwarf's helmet in exchange for a sack of magic beans. The griffon can be found by going to the NE corner of white wolf mountain. If you get a question wrong he will bite you for double figure damage (10-20 ish). This bit may change for different plays (EDIT: looking at oddfaerys it appears it will be the same) I heard you were a great and mighty griffin There once was a graveyard filled with undead There lived a skeleton named Skullrot Skullrot was insane! Skullrot grabbed the gnome's hair Started to strangle the poor gnome He saw a big axe leaning on the wall. Go to Rupert the dwarfs prison, north of Falador, east of the goblin village. Climb over the crumbling wall section Talk into the drainpipe I could try and climb up Is there anything up there that could help Your second cousin, twice removed I need a key to the house Go back to taverly and enter the witches house. Enter the witches house //might not be needed Turn the gramophone on Kick the gramophone //needed Enter the basement Wear leather gloves and open the gate Pick the up sheet music and read it Play that turn on the piano Search the compartment (4 inventory spaces needed), you will get a To-Do list, a recipe for the shrinking potion, 2 shrunk ogleroots, and I cant remember the last item :wall: . [hide=The music] [/hide] Use the tarromin on the waterfilled vial, then the ogleroot on it Go to the space next to the mouse hole (it has a glyph on the wall) and drink the shrinking potion. Run round the mouse hole (up 3 times down then down 1 and up, there are a few dead ends but I only found them on the way out ) until you find the pendant. The level 95 mice here are aggressive. Leave through the grate, or just teleport out. Return to the tower and give the princess the pendant. Go back to Sylas. Go to the magic bean patch near the washing line. Plant and water the magic beans Climb up and kill the giant, beware he can drain and switch off prayers (without fully draining prayer) Pick up the golden goblin and take it back to sylas. (other items dropped are uncut ruby, uncut saphire, 2 x big bones, watering can (4) ) Use a shrinking potion on the beanstalk and then cut it down Return to sylas, quest complete. [/hide] there are no stupid questions just way too many inquisitive idiots balance is scary to people who like things easy for them

oddfaery2
Utopianflame, you beat me to it :P here's my outline as well [hide=Quickie quest guide]Items: Food, Armour/Weapons, non-metal gloves, 2 vials of water, 2 tarromins, seed dibber, watering can, woodcutting axe Talk to Sylas in Taverly. He will want you to get 2 items for his magic beans. 1: Grimgnash's Feather from White Wolf Mountain The Grimnash is on the northeast peak of White Wolf Mountain. (just follow the grassy most eastern path up the mountain) then speak to it. Tell it, "I heard you were a great and mighty Griffin." After some dialogue he will ask to hear a story that is exciting: WARNING: Incorrectly telling the story will make the Grimnash attack you. Be prepared to take hits of up to 20 HP. Here is the story you will need to tell it: (not sure if there are multiple versions) There once was a graveyard filled with undead There lived a skeleton named Skullrot Skullrot was insane! Skullrot grabbed the gnome's hair Started to strangle the poor gnome He saw a big axe leaning on the wall. Once the Grimnash is sleeping you can take a feather from the pile next to his nest. 2: Rupert's Dwarven Helmet from Rupert in the tower to the northeast (next to the mind rune altar). Go to the southeast side of the tower and climb over the crumbling wall, then speak into the drain pipe until the Princess interrupts. You must find another way to talk to him. Speak into the drain pipe again and tell him you have another idea: Climbing up the drain pipe. Ask Rupert if there is anything up there that would help you climb up. He will drop his beard down for you to climb up. Talk to Rupert and hear his story, pay attention to how he says the witch is related to the princess. Then talk to the princess again and she will tell you what she wants to let Rupert go - A pendent she lost at the witch's house in Taverly. If you ask, she will give you a key to the house. (If you get the relation wrong, she will just correct you) Go back to the witch's house to get the pendent she lost there. When you get in the house go to the basement. Open the gate while wearing gloves that are not metal. Take the sheet of music on the music stand. Take a sheet of music from the table and play the music on the piano, or just play The compartment will open and give 4 items when you search it. You will get a to-do list, a shrinking potion recipe and some of its ingredients. Make the potion with the 2 vials of water and tarromins you brought. You can throw out the recipe and the to-do list. Note: the following part will have level 95 mice attacking you. Bring food/armour or melee prayer if needed. Use the potion in the room that has a witch glyph and a mouse hole in it (next to the garden). Climb the nails near the middle of the room, on the eastern wall. Go around the corner to the southeast side of the room, then climb the nails on the northern wall. Go to the south side of the room and climb up the nails Go to the northeast corner of the room and climb down the nails. Go north then climb up the nails. You will find the pendent in that room. Aside: You can go into the manhole outside the front door if you want. If you talk to Winkin and he will ask that you tell Rupert he's kidnapped. If you try to talk to Rupert later, though, you won't bring up Winkin, so don't bother. You have to kill the Experiments if you want more shrunken ogleroots. End aside. After getting the pendent from the mice, talk to the princess and return her pendent. She will release Rupert and he will give you his helmet. Speak to Sylas and give him the helmet. He will give you the beans to plant a magic beanstalk and ask you to retrieve a golden goblin from the city in the sky. Prepare yourself for battle then plant the beans in the special patch southeast of Sylas (southwest of your tree patch, near the lake. Get farming supplies from the leprechaun near the tree patch if you don't already have them). Once you water the patch and are prepared to face the giant, climb the beanstalk. Battle will start immediately. It is possible for Glog to make your prayer turn off, so pay attention to the battle if you are praying. He will drop: Golden Goblin uncut ruby uncut sapphire watering can 2 big bones After picking up the goblin and whatever other items you want, climb down the beanstalk. Return to Sylas and tell him you have the golden goblin. He will have you cut down the beanstalk The beanstalk is too thick to cut through, so use your extra shrink-me-quick potion on it. Cut the beanstalk then return to Sylas again. He will give you the helmet as reward along with: 1 Quest Point 4k Farming XP 5k Herblore XP 5k Hitpoints XP 14k Woodcutting XP 6k Agilitiy XP 6k Thieving XP[/hide] Proud to have gotten 1800 skill total before access to fishing guild Why make a house when you can rob one?
