You don't get banned for training magic that way. You get banned for autoing it. Remember that you can talk same time while you auto or you can be silent while training manually. The thing that matters is how your character teleports: do 10k teleports with exactly same wait between the clicks (now talking about smaller difference than 1s) and it's more than obvious you are autoing. No matter do you talk while doing it or not. Same goes for buying runes, high alching, etc.

 

 

 

Edit: and I don't see any problem in banning these characters with bad usernames. They should have been earlier, but that's not really the point. When you create a character which has a name against the rules, you should also be aware that there's a possibility to get it perm banned. It's pretty much the same as with autoing: some get away with it till high levels, some get banned at lvl 3. Of course it would be morally right to let them change their names, but if they let even 1 high lvl person to changeh his, it would mean they should change ALL of the abusive names.

I don't understand why you would class them together like that, macros are rule breakers that keep coming back to break more rules, while these guys are normal players, just with some tough luck.

Out of the 9 million rs players, like 500,000 are named 'poop' something, and not being banned for it. :| Is that immature or what??

I dont think existing players with inappropriate names should be banned, maybe given an opportunity to change their account name, that would be fairer.

What's existing player? Is it someone who has already created an account, someone who has trained it or what? When you go through the censor or find an abusive word which isn't censored, it's you who has done the mistake. Jagex isn't there to fix your mistakes. Also don't forget the downsides of the name switch: it could rather easily be abused.

I think the following activities might be regarded as suspicious soon (again, wild guess but reasons based, for example gold farmer like behavoir)

 

(1) afk trainning at Bandit camp

 

(2) Emptying chaos/death runes in MULTIPLE rune shops IN DIFFERENT WORLDS

 

(3) skiller (oh shoot!)

 

 

 

1). afk training is against the rules anyway. you're supposed to be at the comp the whole time.

 

 

 

2. trust me, jagex isnt that stupid. if you can afford to buy all those runes, there's no problem. I'm really sick of people saying "jagex won't update range! soon they'll ban rangers too!" thats a bit of exxagguration (sp?)

 

 

 

3.skillers are already being banned because of confusion with autoers. but jagex is still trying to prevent their bannings.

My account called Ur_a____noob was banned for inappropriate name ages ago... only had like 100k so i don't care.

wondering if my character Sex_Doctor gets banned...though it doesnt offend anyone and i made it early 2001 and leveled him to 700+ skill total...played it last time around couple months ago.

 

Though i havent broke any rule even with making such name since there werent rule for using that kind word in character name so if i get banned, its not because i broke rule but because they added new rules.

 

 

 

Doesnt matter though since i never played it seriously...just for fun.

I understand permanently banning racist names and maybe even names with bad words in them, but names with more than one space (like Jord_______x, the new account I'm working on) can be easily solved by puting -'s instead of just blank.. Example: Jord-------X. It's so stupid that Jagex hasn't done that yet..

Why do jagex allow you to make these names in the first place, play for a long time... THEN ban your? makes no sense other than the fact that they are trying to get players hooked/get members.

 

 

 

Why dont they just allow you to change your name? I read that the jagex bros make like 32m a year and are the richest in the UK, surely they can hire a programmer to allow name changes and update the old system to disallow creation of illegal names.

Their status, perm banned, seems to last forever.

The really dumb thing was my friends account got banned thats name was fursnackler a word that he made up himself. I don't see how this is bad in any way. Just dumb.

I'm pretty pissed off now, my second account "Jude F" got banned for inappropriate nick name, if it's mass banning through computerization, all i can say is Jagex' programmers SUCK

I'm paranoid right now. My RSN is Janaak, which could be a "misspelling" of the ancientish Nepalese king Janaka, who was a great king BTW. With that I'd try to imply that the old leadership was better, and so B7... uh oh. Or so I was told.

 

BTW, I agree with these things. In a fantasy word, who the hell has a name like Buttsecks69 or Smell Bottem or Cybarkid666? That's just not the spirit of the game, and they should've known better. Just because it isn't against the rules at one point that doesn't mean you should create an offensive account name.
