It would depend on rs3... If it was bullcrap, i wouldn't play either

I reckon the third rs shall be released in 2010 or so. Unless Jagex go bankrupt or w/e. Anyway, I wont see myself playing until then. If Sun somehow makes a completely rewritten and revolutionary Java language by then, and Jagex builds a game engine around it, with the end result looking beautiful, then I'd consider playing that. Otherwise - no.

The game is about fun of course the new version is going to be more fun if there ever is one. Its just a game i don't like how all these people are whining about no i will quit i put too much work into it! wow. :notalk:

im gonna tell you guys a story about way way back in runescape 2.

 

At first rune items were rarest items in game. My friend who loved mining and smithig knew this. He would sell rune 2h's for 1 mil ea! The economy changes very rapidly at the beggining. so i wouldnt buy a tyhing wen rs3 comes out.

id just make a new rs3 account unles they uploaded all the account over to a new system or something

I'm trying to theorize this:

 

If they make RS3, then they would make another Runescape so it could be better than the original Runescape, or else there would be no real point.

OT: Yes I would play RS3 because RS2 would become the desolate landscape that RSC is now.

I would move on to RS3, just like I did with RSC. There is no point in playing if they discontinue updates and everyone moves to the new game.

I would want to play Runescape2 but eventully I would have to moove on to RS3 because that is where everyone will be.

few things, r2hs were 1 mil in rsc at one point even more pre-member runescape. Also, id probably switch but only because id know rs2 would be abandoned just like rsc was. And no one stays for a game left to the macroers, cheaters and no updates.

OMG Just to clarify your frigging account doesn't gets wiped >_> they also didn't wiped accounts from rsc to rs2 >_>

That's how I feel too. If my character gets transferred I'm happy. If not I feel like all the time I spend on rs2 was useless.

I would still play as long as items and accounts cannot be transferred. It would appeal less to me if the games remain attached with the same monsters, same maps, same items, same economy, etc. just better graphics.

 

 

 

if it's new maps, new npcs, etc. then they should not xfer stats as they would be two completely differnt games.

rs3... but i dont think it will be around within 5 years... or just never and keep rs2 updated...

it rlly does depend on what the gameplay + grahpics is like... i wouldnt mind better graphix but i think the ones now are amazing for a java based game

this would be years from now since they've said RS3 isnt coming out anytime soon, and it seems like we get a ton of these threads around here...

 

 

 

I would really need to weigh the two games against one another to make that descsion, if we could migrate our RS2 account it'd help.

RS2 wont last forever, eventually itll become to awsome to be based on Java and theyll have to rewrite the code for something else that can handle it better. Even now the game is slowing down because of its immense size. :shock:

I would play RS3 assuming RS2 wont be updated.

Didnt get to read the whole post.. I have not even heard of RS3 was just thinking tho if its anything like rsclassic to rs2 everyone had to be forced to change over .. even tho rs2 is a better game for skillers at least.. makes me snicker that jagex couldnt get people to change most played classic for months after RS2 was released.

 

I bet it took a good month to figure out how to force us all over to RS2 by holding your bank hostage..

i would quit rs2 instantly to play rs3. because if everyone starts over, you have a chance to be really good

Of course! They'd probably make another RuneScape Classic rule. Therefore, I only get to play with the old-school players. 8-)
