Can anyone here tell first which monsters drop chewed bones and which not??? I assume you need these first for pyre before entering mith dragon floor??

 

 

 

You don't need the bones before going to the mithril dragon area. All you need is to be able to jump in the whirlpool.

 

 

 

Mithril dragons drop chewed bones (confirmed via various sources). Not sure if the Brutal greens drop 'em as well. I have not received chewed bones as a drop yet.

 

 

 

Based on my reading of the kb articles, I wonder if building a pyre with chewed bones is the only way to get dragon full helms (as a random reward)? Might be a direct drop and a pyre reward.

This new update is pointless for training, as you get no more xp then you did with tinderboxes.

oh my i just dont understand some areas of the community.they complain that their arent any high level updates and when they get one tthey complain its too hard :notalk:

thats caus most of the ppl complainin only think they are hi leveled. or just dont want to take the time to learn how to kill them.

These new potions seem a bit of a letdown. Basically they are exactly the same as the original pot but give you a few HP on top, in other words its as if you dropped a shrimp or mackerel in before you drank it. All well and good but for one thing - they can only be 2-dose, so as far as their principal function goes, you'll need to carry twice as many. Since the most hp each vial can provide is 12, you are basically taking away an inventory space which could have held a shark and filling it with a lobster - and sometimes you'll be eating or potting when you don't need to.

 

That's the initial impression I get anyway. Can anyone think of situations where these things will be useful?

where are the harpoon spots to be found near the cabin ?..i can only find the rod spots.

The Ancient Cavern beneath the lake is the resting place of many hundreds of barbarian heroes. Unluckily for the dead, though, the Cavern is a place of such evil that their spirits are not truly at rest. By constructing pyre ships you can then burn the bones to set them free.

 

 

 

When you set a spirit free, it will reward you with one of its precious items - you might even be lucky enough to receive a dragon full helm.

 

 

 

 

 

You must first find the bones of barbarian heroes. These can be found as drops in the Ancient Cavern. Be warned that you must find 'chewed bones' rather than 'mangled bones'. Mangled bones are the remains of barbarians whose spirits are maddened by their imprisonment within the caves. Burning Mangled bones will reward you with a spectral assault!

 

 

 

Pyre ships can only be constructed and burnt where the ground is charred around the lake next to Otto's hut.

 

 

 

You still need to get the chewed bones from Mithril dragons. So either way you're going to have a kill a Mithril dragon to get the new Dragon Helm.

I like this update mini game is fun the mining thing though with the new amination stinks becuase when you go to mine rock in abyss it takes like 30 seconds to mine it

I just thank god it's not a quest. I'm stuck in the cave with 28 Hitpoints and I'm waiting for my Homeport to recharge so that I can get the H out of there.

Just got a chewd bone- burnt it and the drop was a str pot mix, also, after doing this i now gain 216 xp per dragon bone- hence 3x xp, and fastest xp now. The extra experiance can only be gained while dropping- altar and grinding doesnt work.

 

 

 

And, the chewd bone examine is: ''The bones of barbarian warrior, slain by vile dragons.'' hence, they can only be gotten from brutal greens and mithril drags.

thats not forever 3x xp .. its only for some bones after u burn a pyre ship

Anyone got any recommendations on what to wear and use when killing these new green dragons because I want a chewed bones drop. Thanks

I maged them, managed 4 kills. going to try melee this trip. Mage them pretty much exactly the same way as slayer darting steels, except range protection prayer at the same time, while using sharks for hp.

 

 

 

Got chewed bones on 4th kill, 2 grappy hooks reward, bajillionaire now :wall:

I know. I use an axe now. I also realized that the axe is really fast too. I wished I used it before.
