llamster
Middle School is a joke. Have fun, don't do hw until the day it's due, don't study for tests. Nothing counts. Nothing will effect your future life. Colleges don't care. Middle School isn't really that bad, so don't stress about it. The immaturity and stupidity in this post is shocking. You learn stuff in middle school that helps you in high school, if you learn nothing in middle school you know nothing when you get onto high school and well those freakin colleges do care about your High school GPA (grade-point-average). dude, dont listen to this junk about how you should be a fat lazy slug just having fun in middle school. Have fun, mature enough to realize you should pass your tests (hopefully you've already realized that), and dont make friends with the wrong people My friend has that kind of attitude, he gets Fs all the time but he's an "advanced" student. He learns everything and gets As on tests, but I wouldn't recommend being like him. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
goldphishies
I just left middle school, but it was easy for me. I'm not in TAG, but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. Stay away from drugs/alcohol, try new things, like sports, clubs, etc., and have fun. Study, do your homework on time, and get good grades in general. Middle school may not be super important, but it preps you for High School, where everything counts. Also, you may want to record the answers to a test, quiz, etc., on an iPod, mp3 player, or something, the night before a test, and listen to them all night long. The theory is your subconscious learns while you sleep, so think of it as eight hours of solid studying while you are asleep. It worked for me. Don't listen to runescape rocks, he is an idiot, listen to those of us speaking sense. Good luck! [>>Thanks to Yaff2 for Reaper,Trooper, and DOOM sigs, Navyplaya for nature sigs, Hardwick246 for gold sig, ThruItAll for Darkwatch and guitar sigs, and Aijiru for avvy!<<][>>Refresh for new Siggie!<<]
djo0
I would suggest playing a sport. Even if you are not that athletic, it doesn't matter all that much. I play tennis and it's pretty cool because not alot of people in my high school play. It's easy to be good, because all of the really athletic kids play sports that people actually care about...like football. So, it was a really good way to meet people and there wasn't a whole lot of pressure to win. I never told him to not study. I never told him to stop learning things. Ok fine. Middle school does count in the sense that school is for learning. I was wrong. I just meant that grades and such don't mean anything to high schools and colleges. However, I suppose- if a grade is a good evaluation of your status in the class (which I believe isn't true, I got all A's and don't recall learning anything helpful for high school) - then yeah, I guess it counts. Btw, for your information, I really think I know a bit more about procrastination and laziness, seeing that I have done those such things all through middle school and high school, and have a GPA of over 4.2 and SAT score of over 2300, which in my opinion, makes me not THAT stupid. I apologize to everyone for any offense my post may have caused. That was not my intent.
D3M0NX
yo what up this s D3M0NX's brother, i think i'm going to make an acount on tip.it...... but yea, i'm going to seventh and just have to tell you a little stuff about 6th grade. first of all nerds never got picked on in 6th. well i kinda did cause i called the principle a fat @$$..... but back to basics.... i'm not going to lie school can be a whole lot of shet... sometimes teachers are jerks and other times they arent. If you dont like changing in gym dont worry about it, kids dont care what other people look like (sometimes). In gym if you go swimming and cant swim its not bad at all. No teacher is going to force a kid into the so called deep end.... Thats all i really have to say. And so what if your a nerd. Tell me one reason why people should pick on you if you are one. Good luck! Hate is a strong word<3:need 130k willows for 99 fm, or 3 mil to buy them "sniff"
look_its_rob
i kinda agree with runescape rocks. Don't stress about middle school, it doesnt really matter. The only thing that matters is doing well enough to get into honors classes at high school. I barely studied in middle school, got all a's b's and some c's. Now in highschool i am yet to get an a- and am ranked 5th in my class last time i checked. Look its rob!
honeo
Also I"m a nerd so bulleys will own me, Time to stay with no lifing again. I hope this thread is a joke... "Bulleys will own me.", "Time to stay with no lifing." Seriously kid, middle school is nothing to worry about. My school was 6th-8th with 800 kids and after the first 3 days I fit in perfectly normal. The three most important things are prepare yourself for highschool/college, have tons of fun, and don't no-life on RuneScape :XD: -Kyle Training my pure! aquariusman
I just came out of middle school, however mine goes from 7-8 (Way too short, I would have rather 6-8, but I don't care now). Don't worry man, just get involved, or else you may start to hate the school if you don't develop a very good social life that pretty much only exists in school. And if you do do alot of sports, you'll develop a social life. Trust me, I was pretty much the same, just in grade 7. I guess it helped me that I was about a head taller than everyone else except two or three others, but still, clubs and sports or other extra-cirricular activites help. Alot. You get to know the teachers and other students, so then school won't suck. You can still play Runescape quite a bit, but I strongly advise against it. If you procrastinate, just make sure you're good enough at what you do to be able to finish the stuff last minute. Being good at handling stress helps too, but only really if you procrastinate. Good luck on the new school, grade, and challenges. P.S. Try not to be shy, just remember that no matter what happens, you can always shake it off going into high school. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. whocares
The worst that can happen is you getting stuffed in a locker, which honesly never happens anymore. If your social enough, it doesnt matter that you are in a gifted program, just show from the beggining that you are willing to be like a normal kid. Mirror
Hey 6th Grade was a blast for me, I really got to stretch myself. Just be sure to have fun in whatever you do, that is the advice to heed at all times. When things start to get you down, just look forward knowing you will get out of it soon enough. Best of luck, I can't wait to hear how great this school year was for you. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.
