Dude, this player mod just quoted what a jagex mod said months ago in the official forums... we already know, anyway thanks for the thread.

Sounds to me like he's guessing, a well thought out and beleivable (sp?) guess, but a guess nonetheless. But, what do I know? I'm not a P-Mod.

Not to seem rude but he is just a normal player like us J Mods have said so many different things also, I find the ROW gives me more good common drops more often.

 

 

 

As for rare I have not had a lot of them while wearing the ROW.

I doubt it works that way. From the previous many row threads it more or less works like this:

 

There are two wheels for monster drops: 1 for the many common drops, another has all the rare drops.

 

Every time monster is killed, only first wheel is spun, only when it lands on the proportion of rare items, only then the 2nd wheel would be spun.

 

RoW only increases rare items proportion on the first wheel, slightly.

It's just the luck of the draw. Some people just have more luck then others. I've gotten a dragon chain from dust devils, dragon legs and skirts from steel dragons, and a dragonfire shield from iron dragons. All wearing the ROW.

It isn't 100% correct. But it's close ;). Believe me, Ring Of Wealth does work.

The ring of wealth is basically the same as killing a monster twice and getting the better of the two drops. It is EFFECTIVE.

Yes, I was the one who said this, but it's not exactly private information or anything. It's just that it's not listed in the KB, so people only see it when a J-mod talks about it on the forums.

Well it worked for me and getting a d chain, while all of the kq noobs stand in shock at not getting a d chain :D

Just remember, the ring only increases your chances by 10%. That's hard to notice on drops that are rare in an of themselves. To be honest, when it comes down to it, the ring would only be noticeable over a long term. That is, if you killed a million monsters wearing the ring, there would be a noticeable difference in the amount of drops. In the short term, there IS still that increase in drops, you're just unlikely to be able to notice that difference. Anyway, I say that because people sometimes say "I killed 100 monsters and got no good drops with the ring, but then I killed 10 without the ring and got a good drop, so I'm not going to wear the ring." The problem is, that's just short term luck.

Hmm, Seems to me that mine must not work...I killed over 400 cockatrice and got no dragon drops on anything worth value and it was only a level 2 clue scroll and i got junk form that...

 

 

 

Either way I can't judge the ROW in a positive way.
