You can't forget that there's a high chance that they need to work many more hours, possibly with no breaks, and if they go blind or something, they can't afford healthcare.

That means they are getting $3,840 USD per day. Thats over $1,400,000 per year. They probably spend about 1,000,000 on other employees/advertising. Well maybe I was a bit over the top but then again, it is quite possible that I am not. I was mainly talking about the fact that they get $25 a month which really can't give them much of a life style. I should of made that more clear :^o

 

 

 

When my grandfather was in China, he went to one of the small stores to purchase those breakfast pastry-bun things. He paid one American dollar and the salesman was about to give him 8 of the breakfast buns.

 

 

 

$25 may not sound like much to live on. But since in China, they don't have as many employment regulations, that may help a family A LOT. I expect many gold farmers are teenagers with two working parents, like most sweatshop workers. Otherwise they're adults that are down on their luck, and begging probably nets them a little less than the $25 a month...

After reading the posts made to this thread, it's very apparent to me that many of you don't realize how good you've got it living in the United States. There are millions of people who would do anything to come to the US and there are even more who worry from day to day if they will be having dinner. We see a conversation with someone who plays Runescape not for fun, but to try to make money, to earn a living. I've seen websites that sell Runescape gold, it goes for about $4 US per RS million. If you can make 1 million per hour, congrats, you just earned less than a McDonalds employee. Don't give me this, "but one US dollar goes a long way in a country like that" stuff. These people are poor and would give a lot to be in your shoes.
