September 13, 200718 yr Id say keep them even or around eachother personally. But if i had to choose id say attack, because then your able to wield hella awesome weapons :P I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.
September 13, 200718 yr Niether.. i choose Def im going for 80 80 99 then after awhile 94 94 99 then ima leave my stats there and just get 200m+ in def if i do combat. but i would choose atk over str...especially with 80 str id rather high atk now. I prefer a high def over a higher offense...every bit of def bonus does something....so once im 80 80 99 ill join a cw clan with the best armor i can buy. IGNORE THESE FOUR WORDS
September 13, 200718 yr Neither are better. The best way is training both in the right way. By the way there is a flaw in what you described as the strength wheel, you see people hitting their max hit or 1 below it ALOT more often that you see them hitting something like 5, so it must be alot more complex.
September 13, 200718 yr Defence. Hitting lower #'s often is nice, hitting high numbers not so often is okay too, but hitting some lower constant #'s while they are still eating and trying to attack you is definatly the best in my oppinion. curently 85/85/92 and going for 85/85/99 and eventually 99/85/99. maybe higher strength. not sure yet.
September 13, 200718 yr Author What's with the Defense enthusiasts? I think the skill isn't worth it. Keep em coming!
September 13, 200718 yr I choose att over str, because how easy it is to hit your oppenent is a very good thing but I rather def over them both since i like to range alot and after i get 65 str and 70 def im going to train my range to 80
September 13, 200718 yr I would take def anyday. (I know this isnt the debate, but...) I'd much rather be able to withstand high lv monsters than get killed in a few hits. I can always use super pots to up my stregth and atk, and str and atk is useless when you use mage and range. But if I had to pick str or atk, id probably pick atk, because you can weild better wepons. LOL? We're talking about at least 80 in each stat (except Defense, which is incredibly useless ; only got 75 for dragfire shield). The highest attack requirement for anything, I believe, is 70. I believe it is 75 att for Godsword
September 13, 200718 yr Well you can'ty have one without the other. they're jsut as important to raise. With 99 attack and a whip and 1 str, it won't matter if you have incredible accuracy. You'll hit 1s. With a balance, you might do a lot better. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.
September 14, 200718 yr I always use the dragon battle axe for almost everything (don't hate), so I'd go attack because I hit more. But, defense is better than both combined. Defense For The Win! Cowards can't block Warriors.
September 14, 200718 yr attack ftw str is over rated id say :D /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\click for teh bloggy. ty to swaggeh for sig!
September 14, 200718 yr Get one person with 20 attack, 1 def, and 1 str, and take someone with 20 str, 1 atk, and 1 def, see what's better.... Attack. More weapons. =) I dont need a siggy no moar.
September 14, 200718 yr Consider strength like having an enourmous willy. Having one bigger than others impresses your friends, but really it matters what you do with the strength you have. Attack is better. Say, 90 att, 75 def, 85 str.
September 14, 200718 yr RSC=Strength, by a monopolizing margin. RS2=Attack seems to be favored. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....
September 14, 200718 yr Author 96 Attack 96 Strength 75 Defense 82 Magic 70 Ranged 55 Prayer 92 Hitpoints 110 Combat 39s with whip and 33-33s with dds spec ftw I've decided to keep them even because of everybody's valid arguments against each other and because I watched gangsterprt2's pk vids.
September 14, 200718 yr i prefer attac, im 96 attack and 93 str so i think it'd be wiser to get 99att before anything else to make the others easier to level. i had them all even at 93 93 93 but, i think its faster to train if u hit more.
September 14, 200718 yr att is reliality where as str is potentioal so if the str acc gets lucky it would totaly own the att acc where as the att acc has a better chance of doing more damage in the same space of time. however there are threasholds on deffence and att - am not 100% sure but i belive the threashold for defence is about 75-80 and the threshold for att is about 85-90 which beond these levels there will be very little improvement but str has no threashold the higher the better so i would say 90 att 80 deff 99 str would be a good start :D
September 15, 200718 yr I prefer attack..even though i have 81 str n 78 att...That will soon be changed ... gonna go for 85 att. I think it depends on your weapon. For weapons like greataxe you will want to have a high attack so that you wouldn't hit a zero with that slow attack speed. So yea Attack ftw...the cape and emote is cooler too imo. Hunter Thanks to Goldwolflord, megadedhed, willmcdermot, Biabf, jak722, born2die, Mediumwell, xxxShade, Random, speedofsound, edtheripper, and Alduron for the awesome sig
September 15, 200718 yr 0's are annoying and high damage is a surprise. Now, would I rather lower chances of annoyance or increase chances of a new surprise? I'd rather have a higher attack, declining annoyance is way better in my opinion. Hacked on January 5, 2007 --> Lost: 56.4M, Santa Hat, Purple Partyhat, Green Partyhat, Christmas Crackerpeople who get rich and do it legit like joob and I always get f'd over in the end.
September 15, 200718 yr Author Great replies! Keep going, I want more opinions! Especially from people who actually have 99 in one of them.
September 15, 200718 yr Attack, end of discussion :D [-- DYNAMIC SIGNATURES FOR RUNESCAPE 3 & OLDSCHOOL 2007 RUNESCAPE --]
September 15, 200718 yr I prefer attack. Always like to keep it a few levels above my str, just makes me feel like I hit a lot better. Plus it's easier to train :) .
September 16, 200718 yr I think alot of the reason people post that they think Attack is better is because they can't be bothered using a scimitar to train strength, so only train attack and then stick up for the one stat they train. Obviously this is easily cancelled out by other people training strength first favouring it in an argument. Such as myself. Why did I even post? :-k ^^ Current goals ^^
