I don't know if anyone has said or posted an image about this yet. Anyway, you should get some screenshots of people leveling with a lot of people shouting their congratulations. These will show the support and encouragement that is in the community.

Something else you should probably mention are the negative issues on rs, such as macroers and scammers, as your project shouldn't be a promoting presentation it should be no problem to tell something about that. You could probably combine it with a little story about how most of the community thinks about these rule breakers and how (most of us) try to get them out of the game :)

Really it comes down to finding the definition of what a community is and trying to match them up showing how Runescape/Tip.it is a community. I don't have pictures to off, but I will offer any quotes you want. I've been in someone else's report before off of TIF. :P

Ok well a Community is populations of species gathered and living in one local area along with all non-living things (rocks, streams, mountains, dirt, ect)

Okay so Runescape is a community because:

 

There are populations of: people, animals, monsters, ect

 

There are non-living things like: River Lum, Rune altars, rocks, ect (you know)

Here is my views on the RS community for ye. :

 

 

 

The RS community is a virtual community, so it gives you the opportunity to act however you want, and no one can judge you for it. For example, some people decide to be really horrible and shallow on RS because it has no repercussions and short of being banned there are no consequences.

 

 

 

There is a great mix of people who play RS. There are some areas full of mature players, for example if you go to Pictoris fishing colony there is no one begging for stuff, and then if you go to free worlds in lumby, a lot of people ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅHave been hackedÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

And if you're getting opinions from us, then you're going to need to cite us in your paper. Which would in turn require you to know our names at the very least, I reckon. Buut.. meh. Maybe you could do a "live slideshow". Prepare everything beforehand and get some buddies to agree to be online at the same time as you are. Plan out a route to hit the high spots of RS. Go to KQ, KBD, Wilderness, Duel Arena, CW, etc. Then go do some skills with your friends. Also, to be realistic, log in to a F2P world at Lumbridge to show the "lower class" so-to-speak.

You would not need to know our actually names, but our screen names if anything. I did a paper on this for College. Yes there is a such thing as a virtual community and there are reasons why people consider themselves part of said community. If you are really doing said report then you may want to check out other site (Livejournal, Xanga, and so one). Look for evidence on how teh players create, establish and maintain this community that you are looking for. It seems you are looking for proof of how it is, and for that you really don't need to "talk" to any of us, more or less just look for evidence.

 

 

 

That said, if you are truly in game, you can attempt to pm me, but I keep my private chat to friends, as I don't like to be bother by unknown players who attempt to either ask for free stuff or ask me to be their "GF."

But seriously, RuneScape's community is generally nice, and fun to play with. Alot of the players are greedy scammers, but overall, its all good. :thumbsup:

He doesn't really need pictures, except notable creatures/features of the game. If I were writing it, I would focus on a few topics, such as the market, community, and the skills. If you want pictures, get pictures with few damage splats, spam, and people. That would be really annoying for a teacher.

 

 

 

My view of the community: RuneScape is a diverse community, as diverse as this country. It is composed of X major groups of players; Merchants, cheaters, newbies (noob seems inappropriate for now), pures, and regular everyday players *cough*fgfuyfyuiuy0*cough*.

There's about 2 days left before I start writing and piecing everything into a well-planned slideshow.

I would generally say the Runescape community is good. It has a working economy, generally players are nice in p2p and everything is made to be fun. If you want I have a video of me at a friends 99 con party, you could show the class how people arrange parties for level 99 occasions and people give them a grats message. Pm me if interested.
