SAW IV!

I dub thee Most Metal Movie of the Year

I love the saw series, I saw this movie earlier today and it impressed me just as much as the other 3. It's probably my favorite movie series, its totally brilliant in the way the story is played out, going back to past events and explaining things that go back as far as the first movie and make you say "ah I see why that happened now!". It's also interesting how a total gore-fest movie actually has some good morals behind it. The Jigsaw is simply giving some "tough love" to people :P . I'm really into the whole bloody movies thing, I dunno why, I'm just strange lol. But I also know a lot out how it's made so it all looks pretty fake to me, and I'm not at all squeamish.

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!

I will never, ever, understand the appeal of gore-based movies.
You're just not Metal enough to understand \'

On the topci of milking it for all it's worth, I looked on Google and Tobin Bell has been signed up to do Saw 6.

It's a great film franchise, keep them coming I say. I like the idea of traps that are randomly placed around an environment, as my other favourite movie franchise "Cube" trilogy probably says.

I watched Saw 4 yesterday, and it was absolutly class, I just love horror films I guess :D

Metal is a adjective to describe a movie?

It was an awful film by the way. Crappy twist and absolutely disgusting.

well if you're not into gory movies then Don't watch Saw lol, simple as that, I love them personally, I don't know why and I don't need to try to explain why. It's the same reason why the Romans went to the Colosseum to watch people actually die and I'm sure they couldn't explain it either.

Yes, I've put the word Metal into my vocabulary, it can be used in many different ways but you usually know when it's the right place to use it, such as for this movie :D

The concept seems great but I just can't stand watching movies with close-ups from people killing each other with barbed wire or things like that. I enjoy a good thriller but I don't enjoy watching stuff like this.

Oh and an inconvenient truth was an awful movie, it's nothing but an Al Gore-for-president movie. It's not about the climate but about the man himself and how awsome he is.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

I've still to this date not seen any of the Saw movies.

Same here. And I don't exactly plan on seeing them. Then again, I might just to see what all the love/hate is about.

Hmm... This Saw movie was alright... I'll probably rate it 7/10... It helped explain a lot in the series and explored deeper into Jigsaw's psyche and why he started his tests... Though, I know why he cuts the Jigsaw out of his victim's body... He uses the skin to insulate his home.

Saw movies are just gory popcorn flicks. Why anyone would take it apart to analyze it is beyond me
Have you actually seen them? The gore is a little over the top simply because nobody has done anything like that and the film guys just like to have fun with it, but the story itself is totally separate from the gore of it. The story line and the reason why jigsaw does what he does is what I find interesting about the movie. Theres a lot of plot in those movies, not just gore, but you won't understand it unless you watch them all. The movies tend to do lots of flashbacks and explain why something that happened in the last movie happened. In Saw 4 it had flashbacks of Saw 3 and Saw 2.

For me, gore isn't so bad... it's just pop-outs. I can't stand those. Most of the time, though, you can tell when one is about to happen. Still, I don't normally watch gory movies - no desire to. The Saw series I've watched with a family friend who is sort of like an aunt/sister to me and we have a great time with it. :P I do cover my eyes a bit more than she does because I don't like pop-outs...

Especially the first Saw where the guy is taking pictures with a flash to see his apartment in the dark. And then he opens the closet and takes a "flash" - didn't watch that bit, LOL. I just heard my movie companion say, "Oh my God..." We get a kick out of it. It's more the social experience/analyzing them afterwards than the actual movie content. ;)

Dang I hate Pop outs lol, its the main reason I don't see horror movies in theaters, I don't like being startled at all, but I gore and all is fine with me and the special effects people really go to town with saw and have fun with it lol.

Bleh, Saw 4 wasn't nearly as good as I hoped #-o

I'd have to say that Saw 4 was only a little better then #2, it was good in the sense that it added a lot of depth to the story line (Showed why Jigsaw did what he did).

The knives trap was really freaky, and the fat guy got absolutely owned  My favorite part of the movie though was when they found the tape in his stomach, who would have suspected that? That idea was really original, and I also liked how they showed the officer from Saw 3 in the ribcage trap. Also it was great they showed flashbacks from the other Saw's, it was mostly a fan boy movie IMO, but even for fan boys like me it wasn't great.

Watched it yesterday, wasn't really impressed at all. It was good to see how the whole thing started up with the flashbacks, but I felt that was all it really had going for it.

Too much gore, too much suspense. Saw scores a lot better when it's psychological, such as number 1, and the way you see the characters work with and against each other in number 2.

To tell you the truth the whole thing felt a lot more like CSI or something than an actual psychological horror.

[hide]possible spoilers;

The scene where the woman and husband are back to back with the [bleep]es through them was pretty awesome.[/hide]

Didn't enjoy it. I thought number 3 was quite bad, but bearable because the first 3 were superior to each other in different ways. I sat watching this and just felt like there was a wall between me and the movie cause I just couldn't get into it.

Disappointed to say the least. :(

I saw it last week; if you haven't seen any of the others nothing makes sense

10 minutes before the movie ended i figured everything out, not because it was obvious, but because it made sense. i was like OH [cabbage] and it all came together

The saw films remind me of silence of the lambs. anyone else agree? I've yet to meet anyone who has watched the Saws and Silence of the lambs...
