Well I realized something weird a while back. When I would play Runescape for a long period of time I would listen to a particular song over and over. And months later when I hear that song I can picture what I did in Runescape.

 

 

 

For example I listened to System of a Down when I cut, picked, fletched, rune crafted, and high alched 1,000 yew bows. And whenever I hear them I can see my character running across the screen towards the nature rune temple in my head.

 

 

 

I was wondering if anybody has this same thing happen or specific examples?

Yeah, when I hear some of Nickleback or PoM's old songs, I often remember thieving in Ardougne in RuneScape Classic.

When i hear that "newbie melody" song it makes me remember tutorial island :lol:

I'm always doin that I'll hear an old song and go "hmm i remember i was listening to this when i got 70 fishing" etc

I haven't had this happen so much with Runescape, but I know exactly what you're talking about. I associate Anti-Flag's first album with playing Halo on the map "Wizard", I associate Westbound Train's album "Five to Two" with playing this really old game called King's Quest, and lots of stuff like that... not even always what I was doing at the time, sometimes I realize I just associate a song with what was going through my head when I listened to it, even though it has nothing to do with the song.

Whenever I hear "We Takin' Ova", I always remember hitting my 1st 20, which k0'ed him. :)

In fact, I do as well.

 

 

 

Back in RSC when I was training on Giants (F2P, so the giants in Edge dungeon) I just kept playing "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk, cause it was in this loop FLASH movie on Newgrounds. And I loved the song. So whenever I listen to it (if I do) when playing RS these days, I reminisce about the times in RSC.

When I first started I listened to the RS music and sound effects. Somtimes I venture over to lumbridge and turn on music and sounds, kill a few spiders, and feel nostalgic as I remember the good ole' days.

I always associate Enya with training at Crandor skeletons. Odd association :roll:

 

 

 

I also associate Get It Shawty (Lloyd), Love Love Love (Epik High), Melodramma (Andrea Bocelli) with Bandits...

Whenever I listen to Enter Sandman by metallica I remember killing lesser demons in Karamja dungeon when i was F2P. :)

Not in Runescape so much.. but I do do that. Some semi-old (3-4yrs) rock songs I associate with the very last boss-area-thing in FF:IX. Fun stuff. :) One of the songs was "Outside" by Staind.

Al-Kharid = powermining to 85.

When I listen to Animal I Have Become I always think of me killing Basilisks. When all I did was kill them for some reason.

yeah, there are certian songs that make me think about rune aswell. Theres like 5 of them and every time i hear them on the radio brings me back to rsc...

Simon & Garfunkel reminds me of my noob days... levels 70-85, pretty much. Although I'm still rather a quest noob :P

Yes that happens whenever i listen to Remember the name by fort miner i think of barrowing lol.

When I hear any kind of music, I think of RuneScape in general. I only listen to music while playing RuneScape...lol. :-#

yeah, the pixies Surfer Rosa album always reminds me of my first days of members. It was the start of the summer, i'd just got a new job, got a new girlfriend and started my obsession with the Pixies. The song 'where is my mind' always reminds me of the first time i walked through Karamja gates into Brimhaven.

 

 

 

3 years on i'm not with the girl, not working at that place, and havnt listened to that album in ages.. yet i still have runescape membership :wink:

when i hear taste of ink it reminds me of me woodcutting at those old days were draynor was peaceful and still not many bots only me alone.. good times.. :-k

yeah i have that problem :P if i listen to a song i always remember what i did whilst playing :? like the song i'm listening too atm (can't remember name) reminds me of a massive war in fight pits : that was crazy :
