October 23, 200718 yr It ebbs and flows. And anyway, most "bots" aren't really bots. Macro programs have been phased out, for the most part, and replaced by gold farmers, which are far more difficult to detect and punish. That may explain why it seems they are gone; it's late at night and perhaps their shifts ended. in china? [bleep] that. shifts? i bet its noon in china now. pft if i was in the situation id farm gold to keep my self warm to, id be farming whenever i could. if it made me $ and was so relaxing as sitting in your own home(provided most probably dont) You just achieved -10 IQ Level!
October 23, 200718 yr Give it a week or so, they'll all be back lol, its just a matter of creating more characters. They do this every once in a while, have a mass banning and then overtime they come back and the cycle repeats. Bots are like illegal immigrants in the U.S. Some are good because they do tasks that others don't like to do, however, too many is a bad thing.
October 23, 200718 yr They'll be back in a few days. But, Jagex tried and they deserve credit for their hard work. Anyway, I should remind you guys that you should also be reporting suspicious activities because that helps Jagex remove the bots. We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way. Please don't elect this man for president in 2012

Bots are like illegal immigrants in the U.S. Some are good because they do tasks that others don't like to do, however, too many is a bad thing. But as opposed to the US, Jagex takes further precautions after banning. I know of many programs that are of no use anymore in RS, since Jagex has counter-programs to catch macroers. As far as I've heard the next precaution the US is taking is just allowing a sort of "home militia", enabling every Tom [bleep] and Harry to shoot at border runners.

And the thing about shooting border runners, thats horrible! I really want to move to Europe when I get older, I'm not very fond of the US even though I've lived here my whole life.

October 23, 200718 yr While people are busy complaining about the presence of autoers, we should take the time out to think about one thing. That thing being that on the top lists there are virtually no autoers. Surely there are some but they don't get much time to exist on the highscores, which is I might say one of the most important things to many players, who would rather compare themselves to another human char, and not a mechanism. So needless to say , we should be thankful for the effort jagex puts into it. Its not like we are the only ones aware of this problem. And seeing as they are the ones who get rid of the autoers whilst we sit on out flat rumps complaining, we should give them higher recognition.

I don't think you fully understand how bad sweatshops are in China Mario... Sweatshops, while having incredibly horrible conditions, are still actually more comfortable than their homes. At least they have AC to keep all the computers functional. People freak out about the sweatshops requiring workers to work 100+ hours. Wal Mart's workers in China work 130+ for even lower pay rates. They're HAPPY to work on weekends. Especially when it's a hundred degrees outside, and their little shack has no air conditioning. Or when it's freezing outside. At least these sweatshops have heaters to keep people warm so they can still do the work. For the pay rates these companies offer, ANYONE in those conditions would take the job. These conditions aren't the same as sitting in your own home. They're FAR better. That's why sweatshops are such a problem in China. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! October 23, 200718 yr 1 world in a million probably ;) You'd be sickened by the brutal amount of bots in F2P worlds. Runescaper since June 2005Blog
October 23, 200718 yr all had 70+ rc. Since I've been using the fairy ring network more lately, I see more and more of them. They have become a bit more sophisticated, the names aren't easily recognisable as autoers any more and they have auto generated messages like: "Hi" "*Skill* level" and "Could you switch please?" (I've seen the last one a lot while trying to kill Salarin the Twisted -yes, they are there too-.) But I'm glad they're really putting effort in doing something against it, makes RS a better place. Hopefully the nat macroers will stopped too, before they have a huge impact on the nats price. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+

Yup, and they don't respond to it if you ask/say something back. You'll recognize one in less then 3 minutes if you see one. They also wear a typical autoers outfit. October 23, 200718 yr There's a rumor going around that there was a mass banning of bots that Jagex didn't notify us about. Someone confirm plawks? [English translation needed]
October 23, 200718 yr Every week i see a sudden decrease in the number of autos which then usually goes back up during the middles of the week, so for a few days, it may be quiet, but it probably will go back to being 20+ people on a tree. 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
October 23, 200718 yr I don't know what happened, but in every case they are back now :( : But about a "mass ban" I've checked the willows also (11 hours ago) and there wasn't any autoÃÆÃâÃâër there either... Next to that: I sometimes make lists of autoÃÆÃâÃâërs on old accounts and as you can see some old autoÃÆÃâÃâërs aren't banned (while I reported guan b01- guan b07 about a week ago)...
