i've got to agree with Eimux, the guild acceptence using assist kind of defeats the point of the guild, wouldn't you say?

I'm against the thing that you can use assist system to get to a guilde. Now there will be tons of low level players in fishing, mining or other guilde. It shouldn't be allowed to access a guilde using the assist system, bacause others worked hard to get access to the guildes and others will use it because of friends. Anyone thinks same?

It didn't work for planting a poison ivy bush, so I guess it doesn't work for any bushes? What DOES work when assisting in farming?

You know you can't assist with quest...

I don't get what the problem is with letting people in guild? Every non-quest guild is extremely easy to get into, 1-2 days of doing that skill will get you into the guild. So I don't see the big problem.

Same, but Gilded altar does have a price tag of about 1.2mil. :/.

1) You can only assist for a maximum of 20 squares; after that, it says "You are not close enough to your partner;" This means that all Construction items must be flackpacked.

 

 

 

2) The exp limit is based off TOTAL exp gained, not individual skills.

 

 

 

3) You cannot barrage or cast teleport spells through Assist. It only works for enchants or lunar assistance spells, such as Fertile Soil. I am not sure if it works with Spellbook Swap, but it probably doesn't.

 

 

 

4) The person who is assisting you must leave the assist window open. If s/he closes it, you stop receiving assistance. If you move, it closes it, too.

Agreed, i'm not really one to complain but this is something Jagex need to sort out unless they want a ton of bots with 40 fishing in

 

 

 

all they need to do is assist with their main and start autoing

In their latest update Jagex says you can't use it for guilds. Haven't tried it myself.

 

 

 

I have seen quite a few ask about those things, there are your answers.

 

 

 

In all, I dont see how this will effect too much. The exp cap will stop anyone from being interested in doing any skill assit for mor ethen the exp limit. As for double nats, the person with 91+ runecrafting has to be still, so this would stop some from useing that. Of course if you are friends with a 91+ rcer, they could be nice and wait for you :P But then again, who would want to give away all the exp when they could get it themselves, and eventually have that same level?

Although it's aimed at the lower levels it's still a nice 30k exp very good for harder skills to train (Herb, farming) Free 30k exp a day is nice.

its not bad, few things that need to be fixed

 

 

 

- change so ppl cant assist into guilds

 

-make the assist tab be like the trade one where u can only see the person your assisting in the chat

I honestly do not see the need for making you stand still with the window up. It'd be nice if the window replaced your skills interface, and you could still move. After all, 30k exp is nothing big, and can't really be abused.

You can't get into the mining guild with the assist system, i tried several times.

Too bad rune smithing is pretty much profitless. I would have loved this back in the day when I was buying ores cheap and selling for an actual profit.

Jagex were quite quick to cover up mistakes such as guilds and imp boxes. Nice to see someone made a thread to stop all "omgee noes n00bs barrage meh!"

It says that if I grow a high level seed using assist, you don't get any exp for picking unless you have the level to grow it. Does this mean that if I pot up with a spicy stew or garden pie, I won't get any picking exp anymore?

Something still confuses me, I managed to make the star ess pot and complete fairytale 2 via Assist but Jagex said it dosent help quests.

 

And i tried to do devious minds earlier today but to no avail, my assistor was at varrock while i went to Doric's.

 

 

 

Is it possible to complete it since Assist works within 20 squares?(As in the assistor stands beside Doric while i do the work)

 

That means i dont have to spend 2m to raise my smithing to 65 -_-

Bug? You should probably report it.

 

I don't think they'd let some quests be able to be completed with Assist System and others not.
