firekodi12
Hi fellow scapers, as I was humbly hunting for red chinchompas today, another player logged in. Usually its no big deal, and he would either log out or go to a different spot. Instead, he waited for me to pick up my traps and began to plant flowers and make snowmen on those squares. This caused me to be unable to set up traps in these spots. The problem is especially bad with flowers because he could remove them and I could not. I am fairly certain that this will work in other places. My suggestions are that you (jagex) either: 1.make hunting traps unaffected by flowers and limit the number of snowmen a person can make at once to one or 2. Make it impossible to do either of these things in hunting zones. Sorry if it sounds funny but I copied it directly from the RSOF thread I made. Anyway, its basically an easy way to steal a spot and be a huge (insert expletive here). Clearly something needs to be done or many decent people are going to stop hunting. :ohnoes: Discuss. Earpy
It's not just hunting that this affects. Trying to light fires is hard aswell when theres loads of snow about. Hopefully they will fix this problem with the next update :-#
o_knames
I've only seen the flowers used defensively to thwart off poachers. It takes a special kind of jerk to use it to disrupt someone who was minding their own business. In my experience, though, chin hunters are frequently that kind of person. Malhavok
The mithril seed problem has been brought up to Jagex not too long ago, supposedly they are looking it. A possible solution would be to create new good high level creatures to hunt. That way people would not be competeing for reds so much. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year ! Rsdude099
Haul out your cannon, you wont get any, but neither will they, and you'll get some range xp. I did something like that the other day... I took out my mage short, and starting ranging a random butthole's reds... I think it would be more effective if you could group them up and then ice burst them. JUST A THOUGHT Pretty much done with rs now
wioneo
I think that I'm going to start taking my cannon hunting... monkeyboo2
hmm that needs to be fixed I don't think it needs fixing. I use it as a countermeasure if people steal my spots, once i've asked them to move. I think they need teaching a lesson... So i flower up all spots in the vicinity, equip my rubber chicken and hit 0's on the red chins, so that they 'retreat' until i log off. Of course, i know whats going on and they don't so i can bring em back at any time. If we didn't have flowers to protect us, people would just steal our spots and we couldn't stop them. Master flower power and chin scaring and you master hunting. Of course a dwarf cannon can occasionally help, but scaring is better. Being able to defend your world from other hunters is part of the game, and i don't want Jagex cutting any more fun parts of the game, any thing thats a little bit special and intelligent. When people flower you up, retreat their chins, most people don't know about it. They will run out of patience/mithril seeds eventually. Snow on the other hand needs fixing, because then people could do it for ever and ever and its at no cost to them; they could do it just to be annoying. Yeah...Some people just go out of their way to ruin other peoples fun.Sounds like Jagex to me...
SwreeTak
Sounds like a problem to me. Even if Jagex doesn't fix it right now, it will go away with the Christmas event. krisc6
What spite :x what i do though if you get a meanie lie those is just switch and let them have the spot and wait about 10 minutes till hes got into the rythm of hunting.Get a bow and arrows(or just bring one all the time because this happens a lot) go back to the world the meanie is located and just start shooting down all the chinchompas in the area making him unable to catch them.Ive done this a lot of times and ive made them force an apology and even switch themselves. dacona
a jagex mod (cant remember which exactly) said in recent updates forums in rsof that after this update we can still get snowballs from our snowglobes but we can only pelt at players not make snowmen afer these 2 weeks. if it makes it snow around us to after the 2 weeks are up, then that shall be a pain...
