Hi, just wondering how you feel 2 weeks after the infamous 10 december updates.

Nothing much, i didn't hate it in the first place :

once the january updates hit its gonna suck but until then its all bless

They wern't too bad, it's just the balanced trading I fear

I can't really say it affected me that much, especially if they succeed in making the LootShare better for monster hunting, if not, then I'd be rather annoyed, but would probably keep on living.

I barely ever PKed, staked or merchanted, but these updates made me quit.

 

I stil dwell in these forums though. The staking update hit me worst though, because then i knew i could never be more than an average joe, earning average wages. The only way i could ever get better than anyoe else would be to play for hours and hours a day, but never actually surpass many people still.

 

All oppurtunities to go from rich to poor or poor to rich are gone. I wil never have a chance of being anywhere near the best, so i quit. THe community is 'clogged', nobody can become (relatively) better than anyone else. Tis not good. I don't pay to be the same as everyone else, i pay to be better.

The game isn't a race.

 

 

 

One of the things I'm happiest with is the staking update. Many many people abused staking. I still don't fully understand first hit, because no one is really willing to teach you, because the information was valuable.

 

 

 

Staking was truly not fun. It's easy to be trapped into staking what you can't afford to lose.

I understand that there's nothing that we can do about it, so the best thing is to just suck it up and move on.

I feel ok actually, it's not the whole world. And besides, it stopped RWT and bots :D

 

 

 

I also have faith in Jagex and think they will make a good job making the new minigames to make up for this update (or downdate).

I'm still laughing at the people who told me in runesscape they "knew" that the wild was going to come back on the 18th. One guy actually went as far as to call me and someone else idiots because we didn't agree with him on the subject.

 

 

 

It never really bothered me. Sure it was bad and everything but I know that they're not going to change it just because some people are unhappy with the update.

ok I'll be honest. I thought it was the end of the world...because I was just getting ready to launch my steel shop again when the updates hit...and the trade limit...KILLER...omg...i have to MATCH the market price for steel bars and THEN I can only make 5% off of it...that blew me through the roof...but...I'm ok...luckily I was still in the planning and early "initial capital" phase so I broke even. I'm cool now...I'll just go back to mining and smelting mith bars...for days...and days...just to scrape 1mil...but Jagex SAYS they're going to be updating more and responding and FIXING according to feedback so the most I can ask for now is for that 5% to change to 15%...I can do 15...and 15 is waaaaaaay more realistic than 5, I mean come on, would you ever stand to only make 50k when you can make 150k? or 5mil when you can make 15mil? Gets way serious as the numbers go higher. But until those favorable updates...I guess I have skills I've been neglecting...I can do that for a while

I fell fine afert aall the updates. Trade thing is going to be kinda hard to get used to...but all and all in ok :)

While I'm still not particulary happy with how they handled things, I never thought it would be the end of the world. Seems things are settling, and the bounty hunter area is happily being abused as the new free for all pk'ing grounds as predicted :P Still, it's a shame that deathmatching and mage bank pk'ing are kinda dead at the moment.

 

 

 

I'm still a tad worried about the upcoming trade limit, though. Hope that'll work out as well.

It's an annoyance for me but nothing more than that. Never considered quitting over the update though

I am fine with it, personally I can't wait for January to come any quicker that way we can get rid of all the whiners and cry babies.

I feel like someone who has been eating too much candy... Lol, you asked. It doesn't bother me anymore.

I was happy with the updates, still am.

 

 

 

December 10th was the day when JaGeX gained my full respect.

 

so we had to come up with the one thing that would successfully stop real-world traders ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ stopping unbalanced trade. It will be tough for law-abiding players, but it will also be tough for us, as we will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Instead, we are doing this for the good of the game, which is as dear to our hearts as it is to you.

 

 

 

That paragraph there explains why i will always respect and trust what JaGeX are doing as no company cuts their profits without a reason.

 

 

 

Numbers of players playing also seem to be on the rise aswell. When i logged in yesterday around 4pm GMT world 99 had 1450 players in it, havnt seen it like that in a while.

I actually love it! :D

 

 

 

There are no more bots, prices are honest, ge is great!

 

 

 

However, I think reventants are waaay overpowered, but I suppose the wilderness was always supposed to be dangerous, and now it truly is, well done Jagex! :D

 

 

 

We know that changes of this scale will never happen again, it's all passed, we've lived through the revolution and should look forward to a thriving runescape.

I was never really mad about in the first place, but it has caused nature runes to decrease greatly in price :uhh:

Two weeks later, and I'm still pretty pissed off, mainly over the fact that JaGeX has said they won't return the Wilderness to anything resembling the way it was before. Rune mining is now as boring as any other skill in this game.

The update dint really affect me at all. Its just the monsters in the wildy that affected me >.> >.>
