Adamant bars - mid price, sells instantly, great for when I've been killing aviansies in GW dungeons

Chances are I bought many of these. :) Until just a few days ago, it was profitable to but addy bars and smith addy square shields -- for three weeks, the addy square price dropped steadily from around 20k each to now around 4k each. The price was inflated due to its use in a Level 3 clue scroll, but now it's under the cost of bars again.

I think I made and sold about 10k addy squares during this window. :D

There are some pretty surprising trade patterns developing.

First example, F2P logs:

1. Yews - a good seller, and no need to obtain what would once have been a saleable quantity. In general, put them up at market price and it's usually an instant sale.

2. Logs - the next best, and a higher price than eaither Oak or willow

3. Oaks - lower sale price than logs, but usually a quick sale.

4. Willows - in several attempts, mine didn't sell, and the price is pretty poor too.

Bones are another oddity, selling easily at 90 each.

Black kiteshields (Ice giant drop) usually sell quite well, though maybe not instantly. Since there is no standing stock of them in store, nor is there any bulk manufacture, there are usually players wanting to complete a set of black.

Armour sets, of lower metals such as iron and steel, will usually sell overnight, seems strange as all the parts would be buyable from fully stacked shops, but the one stop boxed armor does save time chasing around.

Imp beads are pot luck, may sell instantly, or may hang around for ages.

Talismans: Air, water, earth, fire seem to be most in demand, possibly for their use in combination runes - Mind is a slower seller, though sometimes several will sell immediately

Raw Lobsters are a wonder on the GE, selling for a bit more than their cooked counterpart-250gp ea. as opposed to 200gp ea. for the cooked lobsters- and sell amazingly quick in quantities of 50,75, or more. I sold 100 raw lobsters for 24.7k in a second, that quick.

I'm an active dragon slayer, and therefore sell dragon bones frequently. I can't believe how much dragon bones fluctuate! They remain the same average price, but sometimes I can barely sell them at the lowest price, and sometimes I can easily sell them at the highest. It's very odd, it differs every sale. :|

Found this one by accident..but it takes a bit of time

Oak Planks -Cost to make is 250, sells on GE for 510 (sells instantly)

Teak - Cost 500 to make goes for around 844 on GE (takes a few seconds longer to sell than oak)

This presumes you are cutting your own logs and then taking them to the sawmill...so it takes a bit of time...but you can make a lot of money off it in about 30 minutes or so if you already have the logs..

1. Willows: People can generally get them at 18-20 gp in Draynor in trading worlds.

2. Bones: They used to get sold for 100-110 ea :\

Air runes are very easy to sell, sell at maximum price :]

Ammies are very hard to sell though.. even if something like the Defence Amulet is put up for 700 ea..

The Grand Exchange is awesome imo. :]

In 2-3 months everything willl be EASY to buy/sell.

The GE is made so that if there is more buyers then sellers, then the price goes up. If there is more sellers then buyers the price goes down.

Price going up in items makes more people get that item, while price going down makes people collect the item less.

So in the end almost everything will be instant sale at min, and instant buy at max.

It just takes time for the system to get to the right prices.

Pure essense went up 10 gp in a day, nats only went up 3 gp tho at this rate mabye nats will be up to 280 each or more by monday. Also I think that pure essense went up

20 gp in two days so it's defiently like a good 'stock" to buy and then sell the next day for a lot more each. Don't take my word for it though :-k

Example if you bought 200k ess two days ago:

Cost: 24.2m

Two days later:

Sell for today

28.2m

1m gp a day..A good way to merch through ge with like 20m+ cash

Found this one by accident..but it takes a bit of time

Oak Planks -Cost to make is 250, sells on GE for 510 (sells instantly)

Teak - Cost 500 to make goes for around 844 on GE (takes a few seconds longer to sell than oak)

Quite off topic, but this is something I just saw.

Oak planks = 60xp each, 510gp each --> 8.5gp/xp

Teak planks = 90xp each, 844gp each --> 9.4gp/xp

Therefore, depending on how many planks you can actually use per hour, it might be more cost/time effective to use teak planks than oak planks.

If you can use 3k planks an hour:

217,241 oak planks needed from 0-99 construction = 72.4 hours

144,828 teak planks needed from 0-99 construction = 48.3 hours

Time saved if using teak planks = 24.1 hours

Cost of oak planks = 110,792,910gp

Cost of teak planks = 122,234,832gp

Cost different between oak and teak planks = 11,441,922

11,441,922gp / 24.1hrs = 474769gp/hr

If you can make 475k and hour or more, it is more cost/time effective to use teak planks than oak planks.

However, I am pretty sure my planks used per hour is off. 3000 an hour was just as estimate and could change the amount of money you would need per hour to actually make it worth using teak planks instead of oak planks. Teak planks might also not be as available as oak planks.
