I dont know i think i was about 4 or 5 and i learn to tye them in the "loop and swoop" way but now i use the "bunny ears and knot" way much easier :D

I think it was relatively late for me, like 8-10 or something. But I rarely ever tie my shoes anymore, I usually keep them in some perpetual state of being tied and just slip them on and off.

Everytime someone thought he had practiced enough and was ready to tie shoes, he could step into the ring, where everybody sits. You had to tie your teacher's shoes, and if you had done that you would get the diploma.

I've never had any problems. I've worn shoes like that for a few years until I outgrew them.

I remember I *knew* how to do it at 4, but I took so long I usually resorted to my parents doing it for me. So I'd say about 5 years old.

I learned how to tie my shoes when I was six.

 

 

 

Back in kindergarten a lot of the kids would ask the teacher to tie their shoes, me included. Eventually she just said she wouldn't tie our shoes anymore and said we have to learn how to tie them ourselves. When I got home I just asked my mom to teach me how to tie shoes. :)
