SirHartlar
I just wanted to thank you as well for your melee section on Wyverns, using my full Bandos I got a whopping 50 kills in my first trip! That was a cool Slayer task. :D
Wouter828
Have you ever tried piety-flicking the wyverns? just slap on piety just before you attack and then turn it off as soon as you have etc. etc. I've tried it out, you use like 1 prayerpoint a wyvern and hit a few good hits too. Thanks for the guide, hope more people find it : Click here for my blog.
Erichermit
@SirHartlar: Thank you! =) I'm glad you enjoyed the guide, and share my enthusiasm for Wyverns. I don't get 50 kills per trip, but wyverns are still a ton of fun for me! @Wouter828: I know piety flicking is better, however, I tried and I just can't figure it out. All that happened to me was that I ended up using prayer points with no piety bonus. Could someone make a gif or something..? Do you hate Wyverns or Warped Terrorbirds? Think again! 1337Geoff
Great guide, sure is nice to have these guides for creatures that are mislead to be worse than they are. thank you for clearing up the wyverns and terrorbirds. -Geoff

Deathmath
Nice guide. Update it with broad bolts and the broad sword or whatever it's called. (It is there, but can you make it more prominent, it took me a couple read throughs to see) a god coif is good as opposed to an archer helm. Nice guide, I'll try turoths when i have hte time. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
theguy
First finish a load of killing skeletal wyverns. Next using an amulet of glory/ring of dueling teleport to alkharid. Then go bank at alkharid bank. Go walk to the shanty pass. talk to shantay. tell him ur an outlaw. then he'll put you in his jail. refuse to pay the fine to get out of prison, and he'll tele you to port sarim in a "maximum" security prison. lock pick the door. go run to the altar restore ur pray and continue kill wyverns to ur hearts content. :D
deathdrow
==Inventory and Equipment== First off, lets set up what you will be wearing. It is completely imperitive that you wear either a mind or an elemental shield. Mind is better, but theres no need to go to Elemental Workshop P2 if you havent, because a Mind Shield will work just fine. but theres no need to go to Elemental Workshop P2 if you havent, because a Mind Shield will work just fine i think you meant an elemental shield, not a mind shield. because you need to do elemntal workshop pat 2 for the mind shield. killerbeer0
There's 3 safes in the Turoth room. I find yours to be the worst, no offense. OH S***! He/she/it is back!
Erichermit
No offense taken, beer. The safespots have changed recently, apparently. Besides, it appears that the Chaos Tunnels is the best place to kill them anyway. I'll have to update my guide later, but I'm a bit busy at the moment with schoolwork and such so most of my runescape time I'm spending on things I want to do. @1337 Geoff: Thanks =D @Rosante: Thanks =D @Deathmath: Yeah I know =X See the above explanation lol. @theguy: I think that's more hassle than worth it, but is an option for those who can't use fairy rings. romu000
Thank you Erichermit for those ! I've been expecting them for a long time and when it came that's been simple with your guide. I've also seen good hits at wyven since people thinks you don't pray so it's ok... Those guides have been really helpfull and are marked in my 'must have' Oh baby light the dark side... Eagle_Tas
The guide has some good tips on these, but it suffers from appearing excessively wordy. You should use more and larger sub-headers so that it's easier to overview and doesn't make your text look as intimidating and hard to chew. A slight update to today's actual equipment would help too. Here's an example of what I mean about larger and more headers: General Equipment Equipment to use with all styles... bulk text, bulk text Using Void ranged More bulk text Strategies Go to safespot blah, blah, bulk text, bulk text. You get the point. :)
Pirate_Felix
i suggest ranging turoth's in Pollivneach, much more safespots and if you still using the slayer dungeon, use the safespot totally in the south [hide]Felix, je moeder.Je moeder felixJe vader, felix.Felix, je oma.Felix, je ongelofelijk gave pwnaze avatar B)Felix, je moeder.[/hide]
ilovecardj
I can get like 40-50 kills+ per trip with this set up at wyverns (Slayer), id i had dfs maybe could get tons more important must have 70 prayer, 68 summon. high cb recommended Slayer Helm Fury Skill cape/obby cape/legends cape Bandos chest Bandos tassets Elemental shield Whip D boots Barrows gloves Wealth Bandos > karils + torags legs. u get hit more from mage, but tons less melee/range if it even ranges at close range not sure If you cant afford bandos then i guess karils and torags is ok. but id say maybe veracs skirt is better for pray bonus Take terrorbird with 12 pineapples pizzas (can eat 2 while frozen easy, better then monks) bring bunyip, super set, pray pot, tele, rest pineapple pizzas. flash piety every attack, dont need a spec weapon. easy task actually :o, and mad crimsons Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
Natedoggygog
Great guide(s) I used the terrorbird one, and was suprised by the results! Anyways, I would like to suggest adding a section about goraks in your guide chain. They are very easy to kill, drop a lot of half keys, and with a super set and a healing familiar, you can stay there for a long time, with great xp, (maybe even bring a cannon). Inuashakent
I'd like to thank you for this guide. I read much guides on Wyverns, and this and Zarfot's was the best. I am writing a (mini) guide in my summoning guide, due to their good charm drop rates. (Well, decent) Anyways thanks! Of course, personal research and opinions were applied, lol. t3h
Looked at this for my slayer task of 44 wyverns (all about them slayer points), thought it was well written guide so thought u were a cool guy. Perakp
wyverns don't have a magic based attack. the freezing breath is unblockable, so you'd do better wearing prayer boosting gear if you pray, or high melee defence gear. bunyip and food should do it
Erichermit
Thanks Perakp. I think it is magic based like dragon breath, but I also think that wearing magic protection gear is not going to help at all. My guide needs a lot of updates, I also am adding Cave Slime soon as well. However, As I mentioned previously, I am exceptionally busy lately. Every friday I have to go to a football game and every saturday is a marching contest (band), I have loads and loads of homework lately, and I have to worry about college application letters. I am, however, keeping track of everything I am being told here and will be sure to fix it all once everything evens out for me, and add the Cave Slime section. Master_Smither
I'd have to say wearing Karils helped alot. The magic attack hit less than it did when I wore Bandos and DFS. So I'd go with Karil top,DFS,Verac skirt because I got hit way less and got my kills per trip. I'll post some setup pictures in a bit I am going to school now.
