This one just looks cold and plain. dont like it one bit. and what was wrong with the other one that we had to upgrade... There is no "old TIF" anymore. It was deleted, if you'll read the announcement. It simply doesn't exist. If we were to go back to the old forum, we would have to start over from scratch. And that won't be happening because as I explained before, phpBB2 will soon no longer be supported and will be very vulnerable to hackers and the like. Those of you who have not been keeping up with the Suggest a Style thread, these are the first skins that will be installed: http://p27.us/phpBB3/ http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/subsilver2 There will be others installed eventually, but those two are at the top of our list right now. Rainy_Day Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 my honest thoughts are i feel i've been jerked around by tif. you took the forums down for a few days then back up. for no real good reason i can see. and i still see ppl's threads totally messed up. no new skins. stupid smilies. i have to say something is wrong if the kind of people you had work for this site did what they did. either they were justifiably po'd by something you guys did OR they were totally lacking and should not have ever been considered for helping to manage the site. tipit has been on the decline for awhile and honestly i'm looking into finding a better site/community if one exists. that has their act together and priorities right and doesnt play favorites and have some kind of agenda. The forum was taken offline to fix some bugs, which was done well. You can never fully judge someone's personality online, and knowing someone would do such a thing would be completely unknown of. Them doing what they did cannot be blamed on us, for they simply took advantage of their status. In theory, anyone could, so that would imply that on one should be considered to help. And with the exception of the forums going offline for a short while, I cannot see how tip.it is in a decline what-so-ever. It's agenda is to provide a decent and friendly community of runescape fans Our act is together, we have a new forum, great staff and a lot of members play favourites? how? Marduk_God Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 I suppose I liked the old forum better, but only from a conservatist point of view: it'd been around for so long that it had a homely feeling about it to me - the state of tip.it was almost a reliability of sorts. No matter how the appearance of the game changed, the tip.it forums always remained the same (more or less). That doesn't mean the revamped forums are "bad", they're just different and will require some getting used to in my part.
