I hope thereds recoil in the end product.

From the gameplay footage, no, there's no recoil. I doubt they'll change it.

I noticed that, bad decision on their part methinks.

I agree. It won't be as realistic as with WITh recoil.

They remove recoil to make it easier to fire the guns. If they had CS 1.6 type recoil half the population would quit playing on the first day because they wouldn't be able to hit crap.

Ah but then there is no skill involved in aiming and firing the guns, it's just point and shoot. I'm not saying there should be ultra realistic recoil, but damn, at least add SOMETHING to keep the guns from being lackluster

I agree. The more realistic, the better. I don't care if I can't hit a thing. I want a challenge.

They want it to be point and shoot, so that people like my little brother could have a game where they can get kills.

When IW/Treyarch leave activision, that's when you'll start seeing some recoil on the guns. The alpha version of COD4 had lots of recoil on the guns, but Activision shot down the idea because it wasn't "fun."

And Video Games have a reason for the difficulty settings - Challenge.

Thats why you play halo3.

Big piles of [Cabbage] Attract annoying Kids.

The Challenge: Get in a game without one.

Halo is more for the fun of it, and finishing the trilogy.

Now what would be cool is if we had a game based on 'Nam.

Even though I totally think the US had no business in Vietnam.

A realistic free-roaming type Nam game would be amazing, where say you're based at a base and all of a sudden you have to go ambush a certain area, you get in your truck with your squad, drive off and on your way some "Cong" ambush you.

Probably never going to happen, but a gamer can dream :(

If really, really want a large challenge, I can recommend some games.

1) Halo 1 over XBC

2) Shadowrun

3) CPMA

4) Cs 1.6

3) CPMA?

4) Done... Learned I'm a noob lol

CPMA is a competitive mod for Quake 3. It's main purpose is 1v1, it's quite possibly the hardest game of all time.

Has anyone thought about the day when the Call of Duty makers will run out of wars to place their games in? Will they ever move back further than the Second World War?

Maybe someday when they're scraping the bottom of the barrel...

Call of Duty 7 : Trench Wars

Call of Duty 8 : Battle for Freedom

Call of Duty 9 : Redcoats

Call of Duty 10 : Stone Age Warfare

Whats most likely to happen is that Treyarch will release WW2 ones and IW will make Modern games and it will just alternate.

You know, some of those ideas sound pretty cool. WWI sounds like it would make an interesting game, and fighting the Redcoats might be fun. :P

Yeah and a giant clan war could be the decider of America's independence from Britain :P Make pixels, not war =P~

The thing is I dont think it would be a very fun FPS if reloading took a whole minute or w/e 18th century muskets took lol.

mgssteelwarol7.png

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Did you have to reload after each shot? I don't remember. But yeah, it was somewhat of a hassle. I guess the gameplay would be a little different. It still sounds pretty cool. WWI sounds cool, too.

Muskets needed to have their gunpowder reloaded every time they shot, didn't they? That would be a REALLY boring game :P Imagine a CTF game with a gun that can only fire once every minute o.0
