June 23, 200818 yr :-# The first rule about RSC club is that you don't talk about RSC club :P Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. June 23, 200818 yr @Above. WTF? That didn't make sense, has a censored word in it, and is 9/11 joke. :o I might slap you. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.
June 23, 200818 yr It's a /b/ meme. A very TIRED and FORCED /b/ meme. He's just trolling, ignore him.
June 23, 200818 yr I would say that there are elitist communities within RS... "To do all that one is able to do, is to be a man; to do all that one would like to do, is to be a god." - Napoleon I
June 23, 200818 yr Well actually, plenty of "famous" players post here quite often. In fact, Empror1 is quite a passionate and active member of the Tip.it community. : If you must, Thehate and Zezima post here once in a while as well, not to mention Andrew and Paul. Zezima, Andrew and Paul have tif accounts but I can't remember the last time any of them actually posted. Stat Progress | Stat Averages | Stat Records
June 23, 200818 yr There's no such thing as a non-elitist community, really. Out in the real world, everywhere from civilised cities to tiny villages out in the most remote areas you can imagine, there are "elites" in the social structure. Of course, not everything applies to Runescape as it does outside. However, this does. The simple fact that there is a highscores table to differentiate between others in terms of level and rank proves this. How one of those "elites" deals with their stature, is up to them. They could be reclusive, keep to a tight knit group of friends and enjoy their time with them. They could be blatantly antisocial and look down on everyone else. There are also those who embrace their "fame", and choose to participate in forums and the like as a normal player, which they are. You also assume that all of these players spend all of their free time on Runescape. Simply because a person could possibly manage to attain maxed stats in a short period of time, doesn't mean they all do. Many people have played for years upon years, entirely sufficient time to get all those stats at a slower pace than normal. I seriously doubt that Jagex ever contact those high-levelled players simply due to their status. Although admittedly it would be a nice touch to get a congratulations through your game inbox for maxing out all stats. I'll get it one day, really.Maxed QP | 122+ Combat | 1877+ Total
June 23, 200818 yr RuneScape? No. Tip.It? Yes. FanSite? Yes. Consisting of high level players? No. There is no high level clan out there for those with only 2000+ total, sure there's probably groups of 10-20, or close friends, but nothing organized...>.>
June 23, 200818 yr Doesn't every MMO have an elitist community? The whole point of most MMOs is to drive yourself to level up, and people naturally call everyone lowere level than them "Noobs", its just being competitive
June 23, 200818 yr Author Within the high levels and celebrity players there is a fair bit of interaction, but it's more of something that came about rather than some big organized plot for world domination (muhehehehe) The vast majority of "page1" players come from the time the game was allot smaller, and the community tighter, and it's because of that that they know each other, of course though that is not true for all the people, but there is still a good amount of integration between them you made some valid points. But an unofficial elitist community is still an elitist community. In fact, before becoming organized, i assume this is how most of them start. I agree they made cliques from rsc, which have a lot of high lvl players, however im still going to argue that a high lvl forum and community may exist organized by players and which communicates with jagex. Even if its heresy, i think its probable.
June 23, 200818 yr Author Yes, we do have a secret club, I'm leading it. In fact, it's so elite, only I am allowed to be in it. someone sounds a little defensive (joking, joking) Ill uncover your secret club Bauke, and use blackmail to attain a saradomin godsword
June 23, 200818 yr Yes, I am in it. 1337 people only! :ugeek: I am Teh_King[My dA][My Last.FM][My Twitter]
June 23, 200818 yr 2000 total level really isn't that high. I probably know hundreds of them and that's just me.
June 24, 200818 yr I don't see how training your character makes you an elitist. Some people train for other reasons other than rankings. PS: 2049 total level right here so don't listen to me. I'm completely biased.
June 24, 200818 yr There might be, given that there will be people who will hang out with people like them.
June 24, 200818 yr I would consider 2000+ just hardcore gamers rather than some elite group. There will be clans and close friends. Theres over 10k people with 2000+ stats. Far too many to be elite. But I get your point. Anything my level and beyond is obviously elite. VMeh BlogV >Miscellaneous Goals< http://www.rsbandb.com/sigs/sig108/bazzaminxer.png
June 24, 200818 yr most of high skill total dudes are in Supreme Skillers forums, and few top 10 players hang in their clan forums. + theres meny other forums where you can meet famous people Ranged 101/99, Str 105/99, Att 105/99, Hp 106/99, Def 100/70, Magic 102/99
June 25, 200818 yr Yes, allot of high level people do have lives outside of Runescape. That being said, allot of them do hang out in IRC / clan chats of certain players etc. I'd be more scared if they all posted on TIF / wherever, to be honest.

But you know aim/yahoo/msn is probably another realistic option. personally i dont like IRC, so thats my opinion on that slightly. Ventrillo and team speak are also very viable alternatives. and yeah, we have had our share of people you guys remember frogmite? He was an interesting guy, and we have a few here left from his era, xpx and trixstar are a few of the upper level players here of quality caliber.
June 26, 200818 yr Back in RS1 we used to have several different exclusive invite-only forums for various types of people. Most high level clans also have very strict level requirements. :) The Runescape Wilderness - Meili's Blog
