What equipments do you guys know of that is underrated?

 

 

 

My choice is the amazing obsidian sword. You can pick it up for 150k on the GE, and it has the same speed as a whip. You combine it with the berserker necklace and get +20% to damage, which stacks well with the +20% to strength you get from the void knight armor. You can use it to get great strength experience off Tzar type enemies, against whom you recieve 30% more accuracy with it. It's a pretty darn good item.

I agree with you, but the only probelm i have with the obsidian sword is that it has pretty low stats. And the necklace lowers those stats even more. By -20 in each i believe. So that's really low accuracy.

 

 

 

The only underrated thing i use is my Warrior Ring. Everyone i see uses berserkers. I use that too, just not very often because i like to get the most accuracy out of my weapons.

I think they obby sheild is pretty underrated, and the d mace spec.

most underrated i belive is the granite maul not that i use it.

 

 

 

and just to throw some more to the conversation the saradmon sword is most over rated. worse 10m i ever spent

obsidian shield is not underrated, it's a commonly used equipment so it doesn't have a negative views towards most scaper. same with d mace special, it's used in monster hunting.

 

 

 

 

 

i think the most underrated weapons are spears. they have a branch of attack types so you can switch between stab crush or slash. if an opponent is wearing high slash but low crush then you can use crush and you can hit a lot easier since spears share equal attack bonuses.

I think the dragon wc axe is a little overrated. I mean come on. 2 mill for an item that gives us like a +15 % chop rate. I don't see any reason to buy it unless you have money to waste and wanna chop logs a little bit faster. I just don't think i'd feel morally right if I bought one. But thats just me! :mrgreen:

Best 10m i've ever spent. They are the best str training weapon in the game. Better than Godswords since SS is faster, and a lot better than D Scimitar. If anything, they're underrated.

I use a warrior ring a lot, since I'm too cheap for a berzerker :

the barrelchest anchor

 

its crush attack hits through platebodys and along with the special + prayer/pots you pretty much hit ur max every time

 

(with a +100 str bonus thats quite high!)

I find it's very effective against waterfiends! The main style of attack is crush, which waterfiends are weak against, the weapon also has a great crush attack bonus along with that strength bonus. All of this combined with the special makes up for the lack of speed!

rune defender adds more to accuracy,and other attack bonuses,while obby shield gives some nice defence,i use obby it looks cooler than a rune thingie :^o

Dont forget they give the same strength bonus

I agree very much with the obby sword. I've tried both obby sword+berserker necklace and the saradomin sword. I'd say the obby sword is about equal to the sara sword in strength traning, at least in my eyes. Plus you can use a shield with it. Also, combine that with the underrated warrior ring, and you partially make up for some of the accuracy loss with the berserker necklace.

To the defender vs obby sheild: Since the str bonus is the same as a rune defender, it really comes down to accuracy vs defense. Off the top of my head the obby sheild is roughly double the defense of a defender, but offers no accuracy bonus.

 

 

 

Compared, the defender is roughly half in melee defense but is lacking in magic, range, and summoning defense. The obby sheild is best in range and summoning def at roughly 150% of its melee defenses stats. The defender brings attack bonuses equal to its defenses bonuses to the party. For slash/stab/crush that is 20/19/18 for attack and defense. for magic/range -3/-2 again att and def.

Castle war barricades. Some people might think, they can do this and that.

 

 

 

ALOT of good castle war players can get tricked by an unexpected cade lying around. Not like, oh heres a cade and walk away. You have to know how to use it.

 

 

 

I like to stand on a few key corners and barricade under me, which will stop people from rounding corners. On the bridge, right by the spear walls theirs a spot to stop EVERYONE headed toward your castle, they actually have to run toward the wall you find people watching/alching on(sara team) and then head for your castle. It slows down a considerable number of people. hiding the cade under you also, does a great deal to them since they cant figure out where its at, even if they have explosive potions, they react slowly.

Im f2p and probly the most underrated/not-used-when-it-should-be thing is combat robes for mages. Most f2p players I see level 3-50 that have mage armor are wearing druidic mage armor or wizard robes(???). Combat robes have the same mage att bonus as druidic robes but combat robes have higher def bonuses.

I agree with your statement! I've seen so many people in FTP using Druidic Robes #-o ... I don't understand why Jagex decided that Druidic Robes should be more expensive? Is the bind spell improved a lot when using it?

I think both of them started at the same price.

 

 

 

Players decided that Combat robes are worth less than Druidic robes.

 

 

 

The occasional rune that the Combat Robe replaces is not that much, unless you really are lacking money.

 

 

 

However, Druidic robes are used in Clan Wars to help with binding, as well as in Bounty Hunter and Fist of Guthix.

Any longsword is underrated. They can hit higher and more often than a scimitar and are only a fraction of a second slower.

it all depends on what you are doing if the extra atk bonus is needed then yes.
