With the new lend item feature, people will not have much demand for buying armor or weapons.

you can only lend one item at a time i believe. also, both people have to be logged in for the item to be lent, so it's not like two people around the world can each use it while the other is sleeping.

TBH, how will it effect the prices. I for one wont lend any of my items unless its for a team trip or something, plus 1 item for up to 24 hours ain't exactly going be that helpful really. People will still buy the items, people will get feed up with all the begging after awhile. 30k for my green phat per hour will be my charge if i do lol.

i cant see the prices being affected at all

I can see the prices falling for perhaps a day at the most with the anticipation of it but it won't be anything like a crash.

Or how bout.. no? Nothing beats having your OWN stuff.

Small things that are hard to buy will crash possibly.

I agree. people will try out their friends items, realize how awful they are ( or great). and they will drop or rise respectively.

I see a huge [bleep]e in beggars, but not so much in armor/weapon prices.

I personally don't even see the feature being used that much. I personally don't think I'll ever use it. I'm certain that most people would rather have their own items too, which they'll ALWAYS have access too, and not have to bother a friend just to use.

The creation of Item lending will not make a market difference for weapons and armor, as someone said

I personally think item lending is not going to even be remotely revolutionary in Runescape. People will use it a couple of times within the first month of release; and than its going to be rarely used.

 

 

 

This update is simply Jagex's appology and simple solution for banning free trade (-5%+)

I doub prices will crash, i think some will go up when people like them, some will go down, buy only marginally, nothing major.

The only time I'll use item lending is if someone would let me try out a Saradomin Godsword, even if it were just for 5 minutes, it'll give me the great motivation I need to go on my path to save the money for it! :lol:

 

 

 

I'd only lend my items to friends and they are all have the same gear as me so that's not going to happen! Unless we 'lend' one another's Guthan warspears so we can never lose them if we do die.

You can lend an item up to 24 hours >>OR<< until you log out. The last one is an OPTION.

 

 

 

You can choose to log out and the item will still be in the hands of a player UNTIL the time period which you have chosen is up.

 

 

 

You CAN also choose an option so that the item will return to you when you log out.

I don't think prices will crash, but it is a smart idea to use a lent item so you dont have to lose yours at like Dk's :D. I'm gonna charge random noobs who want to use my stuff.

I know this is probably a pretty stupid question, but do you think that we may be able to lend things like void armour thats untradable? I wouldn't think so, but it just makes me think.

no we won't. including barrows, dfs, and other untradable goodies.

Rares will deffinatly be the most effected in my opinion, since it will have the one-item lending/borrowing policy. It'll be good for us (those who would like to buy rare(s) in the furture), but bad for those who will lose money, or speiciality ( :lol: ).
