Mr_Adam Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 First day of soccer tryouts - Two 2:30 sessions. Brutal. 6 laps first session, each lap about 1/2 a mile or more I'd say. That, followed with some not bad drills, but when I chest the ball it really hurts and it's harder to breath when I breathe deeper (like when running). I suppose I'm doing it wrong. Session two had 10 laps or so, but I had to walk a little do to leg pains and harder chest breathing. Followed by some more drills that could have gone better, then a scrimmage. Played horrible in the first half (I was assigned as Defense... not good at defense), and my calves cramped a bit, but not too much. Second game I was up front and played a lot better - including scoring a goal. I really hope I make it. I've waited a year for tryouts again, and I was (imo) wrongly cut, whereas the WORST player made the team. Politics in my town suck. Repeat tomorrow. He was telling us how he used to work with a radio-tube computer (one of the first created) and asked everyone if they know the best way to start it. I knew the answer, but waiting a little to see if he was the type to give out "bonus marks" for silly questions and sure enough, he offered an extra 2%. Which is when I yelled "HIT IT WITH A SHOE!" and we (only us) cracked up. After the boring lecture he asked us some questions. He said if nobody raised their hands he would spin around with his eyes closed and point to the victim. Obviously he landed on me, but I called "[cabbage] you peaked". It is a program I can use for college to take notes, organize them, search for them based on keywords. Took me a week to get down. We started framing our new house today. Our basement is 3500 Sq ft. and the floor we are putting on top of that is 1500. The basement is going to mainly be a theatre room, spare living room, bar, 2 bedrooms, and a full bath. The upper floor is going to contain a bathroom, master bedroom, and a smaller living room. We are building a secret stairwell to the basement behind an old cupboard. It is a relaly sweet thing. The total cost of the house in materials and labor is somewhere around $122,000 dollars. That includes furniture and various decore' and the theater room projector and sound and wall foam. We are in no way rich, my dad is reired from General Motors and my mum is a OB/GYN (she tells me a lot of wierd stories fml.). We have rented houses since I was a kid so we saved a lot of money. My grandparent died and left a large summ of money ot their 12 kids as well (yes my grandparents were "happy".). I can't wait till its done!!! Oh, also ,I played rs on my uncles 52" tv. But we can go pick them up after 6 and so we're going to. I also found out I passed both semesters of Geometry so at the moment I have a free credit that I'll hopefully get to take Computer Networking and Repair in and build myself a computer.
