Skeptical Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Went to see my close friend's band at the battle of the bands last night.They were great.However the first 5 acts, were all metal and screamo.Holy crap.Did they suck so badly. After the 4th band, there was a mosh pit/ people just standing in front of the stage, everyone went outside cause everyone was sick of it. I do believe going to the battle of the bands has cemented my hatred towards metal/screamo for the rest of my life. Don't judge a genre by it's imitators. We went down to my brother's house and did some yard work and cut some branches off a few of the trees. Was pretty fun. Got to drive by myself a lot. Feels so liberating :thumbup:. I also got a bit mad at my mom for a while because she forgot my girlfriend's name. It's been a month, she has asked me how she is doing every day, and even met her. And right out of the blue she calls her some other name that sounds nothing like her actual name.... damn my mom is getting old... Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. She went into the office and the first words out of her mouth were "Are you going to give my son a ride to and from work all week?" The guy had no idea what she was talking about, since he didn't make the schedule, but he went to the head of the HR department who told the afternoon shift supervisor to tell my mom to tell me to come in for an afternoon shift on Monday. So I don't have to do midnight cleanup, even though I could have (as long as we didn't leave the city when we move next).Glad that was sorted out.As am I. I wouldn't mind doing it, but it really is just too much driving back and forth. I spent the first half of Mother's Day at my grandmother's house. It was spent mostly watching baseball (after Rocky & Bullwinkle was over, of course), which I don't mind doing. After that I came home, gave my mom here gift and then ate nachos. My first thought was "Ew, this smells funny..". Then I looked at the warning label on the container, it read, "WARNING! HARMFUL WHEN SWALLOWED OR INHALED!" At the same moment as I thought, "Oshi", blood started to pour out of my nose. AOE lan party on Saturday was awesome, so mch rage and insults, so keen to do it again :D Also tired... Sleep at 3am and waking up at 6:30 for school..
