Range_This11
I just have to laugh at the dude-bros that wear their beats to the weight room. stevepole
There is no reason people should wear beats at the gym, or any over the ear headphones for that matter.
RpgGamer
Sixteenth birthday today. So far it's been an awesome day; I got my G1 license so now I'll be driving. :D ... Although I feel like shit right now. My Dad bought me Beats headphones thinking I'd love them (I've always disliked them) and I guess me acting grateful wasn't that convincing. So now I think he's disappointed because of that. [bleep]. wow, seems like just yesterday you were talking about being the youngest OTer. Look at you growing all old :P Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. Randox
I decided to regress into childhood for a while and watched a few Peanuts episodes today. I even managed to find a couple of the ones I used to have (well, they are packed away now someplace), including my old favorite (you're a good sport charlie brown). I'll probably end up watching a few more before I go to bed. And now I miss my giant stuffed snoopy (and little stuffed snoopy) :| I also need to look into getting a stuffed Dogbert and Catbert sometime to go with my Snoopy. jasignhagj
You guys are making way too big of a deal about this. The only thing bad about Facebook is some of the users, which is remedied by taking them off of your friend's list. It's still a great way to keep in touch with people and quickly plan things. The most disturbing thing to me is that they keep every single chat log on their servers. If someone goes missing, the police can just ask Facebook who they've been talking to and find out where they might be. Or have evidence in court or something. It's not like they have a guy sitting there reading your conversations. So you'd be fine with the phone company keeping recordings of your phonecalls? I'm almost sure it's something I agree to in order to use their services anyways. Unless you're planning terrorist activities, there's nothing special about your conversations that even justifies actually hiring people just to read through every single one of your conversations. My normal spot is fun though because you start at the side, and not the top, so you have to jump out and swing over to it (without doing a face plant). Can only get in a few hops though. Mostly I just stick to bouldering because I prefer the challenge to the climb, and I lack any of the training or equipment for a proper rock climb. My University also has a rock climbing gym, and a second wall (which is where I get in any repelling).

Since the 40 ft tower was my first experience, it was essentially me being an upside-down Spider Man for a few minutes. Since it was years ago, I'd likely do worse. Randox
Ha, an upside down spiderman eh? The real trick is landing your jumps without kissing the wall. I don't think I have ever seen anyone go upside down though. The one that seems to get a lot of people is that in gyms, to get down you need to pretend that whatever wall your climbing is now the floor, and walk down backwards. A lot of people have trouble with the leaning back and instead form a sort of L shape, which is a really bad position to be in. The worst example I've seen was on what I think was only like a 50 degree slope at most (outside, on moderately wet rock since it had been raining recently). One kid was leaning so far forward on the decent that he was on his toes, and then he finally slipped and slid at least 10 feet down the rock before he was stopped. And the worst one for me was a summer camp I was a junior councilor for, where we took the campers climbing on one of the university walls. I got this chubby girl, and she lost her grip when she was maybe 5 feet up. Me not being all that heavy (in retrospect she probably weighed maybe 10 lbs less than I did) had the foresight to put my foot in the floor loop that's there for exactly this reason. When she fell I was immediately pulled forward, and if not for the floor strap the girl probably would have hit the ground before I could stop. Instead I ended up leaning forward being partially supported by the belaying rope myself, on my tiptoes. Managed to pull myself back into a standing position though.
