Yesterday was my final marching performance in band. We marched a 2.6 mile parade while decorated with glowsticks. At the end of the parade I found a woman's debit card in the middle of the street and I'm going to start a debit card collection now.

Came back from India.

Gonna save $1000 and start trading stocks for fun.

I really want to learn how to do that, a buddy of mine made 30 grand off of some company involved in the Obama plan to trade in old cars for gas efficient ones. He's been living off it since lol

Just bought one of these on amazon. Can't wait to start making Turkish coffee at home.

EDIT: Grrr, can't use html on this board. It was a Turkish coffee maker, for those that didn't guess.

There are plenty of services that allow you to do online trading. Like Scottrade, I used to have an account there. They charged something like $7 per trade. I now have a brokerage account attached to one of my bank accounts, but I don't trade on it. Most banks offer the service though a subsidiary like Bank of America offers customers investment services through Merrill Lynch.

Makes sense I suppose (@Giordano).

Mine was external, but not really portable anyway since it needed its own power source. I also probably have 17GB at least in flash drives (one 8, two 4's, and I think two 512's). I also have another 8GB in micro SD''s that both my PC and Laptop (plus my phone) can read, so I'm normally set for whatever I might need to take with me until I can get back to my PC, so doubling the internal storage space made sense. Actually more than the external (it was bought external because it was originally to extend the memory of my laptop) because the internal SATA cable is a lot faster than a USB.

Also, last night I was using a swiss army knife to cut the paper top out of my peanut butter jar, because apparently the cheaper brand uses bullet proof paper with no tabs for grabbing it. Went to lick the peanut butter off it, and well, the blade is still surprisingly sharp after a few years. Nice clean cut though (lip), if not a little deep, but the cut holds closed naturally and once I stopped bleeding after 40 minutes it was all cool and I could go back to eating. This morning there is barely a line in my lip. No scabbing or anything, its totally back together (the mouth heals super fast which is nice).

But yeah, me and knives apparently.

SHIT... My friend's friend whom I have met before was with his brother in a van and a motorcyclist cut them off and they didn't have enough time to react and they ran over him and he's dead... The friend is 18 and I've no idea what's about to happen. Holy shit.

My brother drives a Ducati and he's always telling me how dangerous it is. I don't all the details but I don't imagine your friend will be charged with manslaughter. It was an accident, and unfortunately things like this happen all the time.

As a driver in training myself, motorcycles scare the shit out of me, they can drive incredibly dangerously and you don't usually count on one being right behind you all of a sudden. If what you say is true (that the motorcycle cut him off) I don't think it's his fault. Damn shame though.

Woke up surprisingly early today, around 9 AM, despite having gone to bed at 1 yesterday. So basically, when I have a free day I wake up early and when I have school I can't get out of bed after 8+ hours of sleep. [bleep] you sleep cycle. Anyway, gonna clean the house a bit, prepare for the barbecue later tonight and enjoy.

This is such a happy thread today.

And here I was just going to comment on a wedding speech I heard that opened with "Speeches should be like miniskirts; short enough to keep your interest, but long enough to cover the essentials."

and then briefly wonder if I've developed some sort of social anxiety proven by my decision to skip a review for my Anthro final that I desperately need simply because I don't know anyone in my class, that I've been attending for over 4 months, where by now I should know someone.

but alas, all this talk of manslaughter and murder made me reluctant to even post.

I truly do feel sorry for those in the aforementioned situations though, don't get me wrong.

Well this is cheerful.

First, my condolences to the guy who drove over someone on accident. I can't imagine how terrible that must be to go through for him, legal system aside.

Second, that's terrible about your friend being murdered. I hope his family and yourself will get through that alright.

Third, I like that description of wedding speeches. Very true.

My English teacher uses that same analogy to talk about essay length.

But yeah condolences to the people going through that, I can't imagine dealing with either of those situations.

One of my best friends was murdered...

Turns out the murderer was his best friend, would never have thought that... :(

Question time, it was another best friend, right?

That barbeque last night was awesome. Ended up staying up till 6:30 watching movies and gaming while stoned, slept for three hours then got up again and went out in search of a bakery for some breakfast. I've barely ever had a night go so smoothly.
