About to start a rough draft that's due tomorrow.

It's a literary analysis of the Great Gatsby.

 

No idea what I'm going to do at the moment.

Boo English.

 

For the AP test, I wrote about how the colors of everything in the book symbolize different thing. The cover also shows this. Icant remember much about it, but I passed the test with a great grade

I think I'm going to write about how he uses characterization and symbolism to show the superficiality of the upper class.

4 hours til i have to catch the train to school.

 

I still have 3 pages to write.

 

 

I'm a terrible student. I college hard.

3 pages in four hours is nothing. College harder next time.

 

you're correct in saying so, as I've been known to get a whole page down in 15 minutes, but this particular paper I'd been working on for over 18 hours and did virtually nothing. Except not sleep.

I don't know what to get for Christmas. Usually my siblings and I ask for one present because my parents are Indian and don't really care for Christmas but I want to be selfish and get something nice :mrgreen:

 

I'm interested in those E-book things though. Need to research that a bit...

Wierd night. Went to bed at 5 PM, and woke up a bunch of times throughout the night. Once, I got up to check the time, and saw that it was 12:15 PM. I realized this couldn't be right, as that would be the afternoon, so I went to change my clock, and looked out the window. It was afternoon. I got annoyed that I had missed all my classes (today's a half-day), then woke up. I had dreamt it. I checked the time again and it was 2:15 AM. I didn't fall asleep again after that.

I had a dream last night that we accidentally left the garage door open, and a guy parked his car in our garage. They came upstairs, I had my metal baseball bat ready. It was my uncle and a bunch of old people wanting beer. Then, I woke up.

Most noteworthy thing I did today? I managed to truthfully say my feelings to this girl I've liked for a while. :thumbup:

 

Other than that, was a pretty average day I guess. Apparently some guy on our bus thinks Christmas is overrated, just cuz he celebrates something else on the same day :blink:

Bored at work, everyone I work with immediately is off at training.

I recently discovered Gaia forums. Holy [cabbage], are they sensitive. Pshh... and I thought you guys were bad. :-P

I'm interested in those E-book things though. Need to research that a bit...

 

I've got one of the new Kindles, and I would very highly recommend it. Only thing that's annoying is its temperature range (a real factor if you want to use it outdoors in Canada), and the fact that you can't really just drop it on the couch or counter like you can with a book. I've got the wifi-only model: free Wikipedia and Amazon access was cool, but not for the extra cost. The battery life is awesome: I only charge mine every coupe weeks with really heavy use (when I use it for school, I'm constantly flipping through my texts), but if you use it lightly, it can last well over a month, no problem.

Still really snowy here and I can feel myself catching the cold. Just realised it was the 1st of December today and I'm trying to work out where the hell this year went. It's been a quick one.

My school newspaper's game reviewer pisses me off. He reviewed Black Ops this week.

There's an FPS out there that isn't point a click to kill?

Half Life has a bit more depth than that. As for Game of the Year - God of War III, Alien Swarm, Mass Effect 2, Super Meat Boy all spring to mind.

Call of Duty has given FPS'es a bad name when they rehashed the same themed gameplay over and over and forced them out on a mindblowing scale. Modern Warfare was a nice break from it all, but then they hopped right back into the same forced-out patters with Black Ops to milk the cash cow for as much as its worth. There are a lot of great FPS games like Shiny listed that aren't the same thing over and over by virtue of its story, unique aspects, etc.

 

OT: I've been keeping the house clean and tidy ever since thanksgiving, and Mom seems to have been taking it badly. She blew up over me putting rotini instead of fettuccine on to boil and somehow accused me of using the tidying about as a method of making her look bad in the eyes of my father. I'm very confused, so I've decided to lock myself up in my room until her insanity runs its course.

Today was awesome, everyone was getting in snowball fights. Me and my friends were having a mini-snow war and some teacher on the second story in the building we were behind exploded at us and called us idiots. He mad. Then in P.E. some kids were messing around and one of them slammed another kid's head into the fire alarm, and it went off. :lol: The whole school got evacuated and everything, and the fire department came. I don't think I'll ever see him again.

Infected with the flu and Im trying to find ways to get my body's energy back :(
