Thank god for Senior Skip Day! Because of that there were only 6 people in my Calculus class. He gave us all a 100 on the assignment just for being there and I didn't get the last two problems at all. Then my English teacher let us watch Dr. Horrible.

I also saw our band's percussion and jazz concert. It was an amazing show and we topped off the night at A&W/Long John Silver's.

Picked up my tux today (for prom). It's pretty sweet, black and orange. I'll probably upload a picture or two from prom for you guys so you can see me all fancy and [cabbage]. And maybe my girlfriend too. But I know you all just want to see how hot I'll look, not her

You know it.

It's either finishing off the work I'm behind on and studying for exams or hitting the town and getting pissed with a bunch of friends. Weighing my options. I've got work tomorrow too. Gah this is too hard.

That give way thing is a dumb rule imo, we give way if we are coming from private property. If it's not busy enough for traffic lights then we either wait a few seconds or on busy roads there are traffic lights further up the street to give an opening.

I got my open licence a few months ago. It's awesome being able to have a few beers and not worry about dui.

Today I'm playing dragon age and going to the comedy festival tonight which I only just found out was today. I'm gonna get [bleep]ed at when I don't go to the party I was meant to go to..

[spoiler=Texty]

Booked my full driver's licence test for next thurs. If I get it, I have no limits on what car I can drive and speeds (within Law) biggrin.gif

I failed my on Wednesday for the god damn mother [bleep]ing stupdiest rule ever.

Was an unctrolled intersection:

turn-right-giveway-r-turn2.jpg

Ie. that. Instead of the norm where red gives way to blue, it's the other way which is goddamn [developmentally delayed]ed considering 99.99% of all intersections are controlled here.

Oh well.

The [bleep]. That goes against common sense.

Exactly.

Rob: Nope. The red car should give way to the blue car.

I'm confused why so many people get this wrong. You clearly all live in rural or super suburban areas, cause it's common sense to let the guy out into the busy road first, because otherwise he'd never get on the busy road. Clearly Blue is on a main street [avenue] and Red is coming out of a residential area [or parking lot, hard to tell]. If Blue did not yield right of way, Red would never be able to leave that street, causing a traffic back up. Blue [given that he's turning anyway] would be slowing down, and should allow Red right of way so that the [wagon] behind him don't run him over.

Furah has pretty much summed it up. If you do that, you disrupt the flow of traffic, causing even more traffic to back up. If it is uncontrolled and it is a busy road (which it never, ever would be), there would be a 'centre lane' you could go into and wait if necessary.

But that picture was an example. Where I actually did it, every other road around had a stop, or give way. It wasn't a populated area, it was a side street. I hadn't seen another car for a few minutes. It was just an unfortunate coincidence.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Night in, and I'm bored as hell. No-one seems to not be going out

Drunk. Sup.

I saw a gay pride flag hanging on the local city hall. It replaced the three local flags that are usually there and was the only one flown. Did anything gay happen yesterday that I for some reason never heard about?

I live in a rural area, but everyday I'm driving about in the city. I spend about 5 hours a day driving in city environments. Red should be giving way to blue as not to interrupt the flow of traffic. I'm in situations like this a dozen times a day. I've never been stuck where the red car is for longer than two minutes, and most of the time I go to traffic lights I'm waiting about two minutes anyway.

If Blue wasn't turning I'd agree with you. But it is, so I disagree.

My online order was fixed, I'll be getting my stuff.

I'm so excited to receive my $25 worth of yugioh cards.

ooo ooo what cards did you get?

I didn't even realize today was friday 13th lol.

A lot of morphtronic cards, and a few others that I can't be bothered to list. :D

No RPG, that's just [developmentally delayed]ed. Assuming both lanes are jammed, blue is holding up the entire left one until the right can be cleared. If he gives way to red then the left lane just gets even more jammed assuming he wont have time to let himself turn as well.

I always get cut off at the same intersection on my way home from wherever. It's a 4 lane road and the left and middle-left lanes can turn left, so I go in the middle lane, turn left, go into the right lane, turn onto sidestreet, home. But the people turning in the left lane ALWAYS come onto the middle lane. The worst was the other day when an old lady pulled a fast furious five move and cut me off, with her bumper almost touching the car in front of her, forcing me to slam the breaks.

I know the human population is incompetent, but come onnnn. Today I work at 9am but it's raining so I just sit on my ass all day. I guess I'll read Pandora's Seed. Hey, where did that reading thread go?

I hate when [cabbage] like this happens. I didn't do what I intended to, and I missed out on what I could've done. This is [cabbage].[/hide]

So I've made my nickname facebook official, in Greek because the English version wasn't allowed. People would be able to search for me under ἀντίχριστος if I allowed myself to appear.

Happened to me last Friday. Something like 7 paint cans got bent to all hell, and one broke open. Luckily I was working and that wasn't my paint can, but the paint went all over the tray and lots leaked onto the tires.

Exactly. This breaks common sense on so many levels.

On another note, at first I thought you failed because you were driving on the wrong side of the road. #-o Damn Brits.

My A level ICT course work has been marked and moderated and now the examiner has to agree with the marks. I got the results yesterday and they are:

(My course was composed of 2 Coursework units and 1 Exam):

20 Hour Exam: B Grade - very pleased with this! I was predicted to get a Grade C.

1st Coursework unit: A Grade - I knew I achieved this grade before hand through feedback before the final deadline.

2nd Coursework Unit: A Grade - very surprised about this! I thought I was at a B grade at this but after the final submission, it was improved to an A grade.

My overall grade for the whole A level course is Grade B. :D I'm very happy with this, as I was originally predicted to achieve a Grade D. The best bit about me achieving this grade is that I have secured my University insurance offer (as a Grade B is equivalent to 100 points and my insurance wants 100 points). So I'm definitely going to University this year! I only need 50 more points for my first choice so I'm hoping I can achieve get those last few points in my exams next month.

For those who are wondering in regards why the entry requirements are so low for me; my school underestimated me for my predicted grades and I'm expected to at least exceed these predictions by at least a grade. I could achieve 260 points overall which means I will be overqualified for my 1st choice by 110 points

Taking AP Chem and AP english and AP world history and accelerated spanish and honors precalc next year, mehh.

I should of taken AP History in High School. Well, if they offered it but I'm pretty sure they did.

Oh well it's all in the past now.

I see what you did there.

Great, I'm ill. Great, I have a date. I wish I was in India, they would give me an injection that would stop the puking straight away. Granted, I wouldn't know if that needle was clean or what they were actually putting in me =P Really bummed out =( Ugh, shouldn't have said "bum" now... The other downer to this illness.

Going to play the snes all day urrr day. Had this snes since I was a child and it works alright =D

EDIT: Might be worth asking if anyone recommends any snes games?? I've got a couple but I reckon they're cheap so I'll be buying more.

In Canada, we don't have AP studies, only College/University streams. The University stream is typically more difficult so I suppose that's the equivalent of AP courses here. :P

I'm in Canada too - there is one level above university streams, which is the equivalent of AP classes. Very few schools offer them though. (That stream is called the "IB program")
