To break up the seriousness of Off Topic at the moment, I decided to make a nice warm and fuzzy topic.

 

 

 

What type of person are you-

Or a man's best friend, the dog?

 

 

 

 

 

 

Myself, I'm a dog person. Can be your best mate and you can play games with them :). You can teach a dog so many tricks but with a cat all they do is sit around and do their own thing. :P

I've never owned a cat, but I would like one. I hate puppys, but I would like a full grown poodle.

 

 

 

So I guess I'm a little of both #-o

I'm not one of those "love one, hate the other" kind of people, but I definitely prefer dogs. I have owned both and while my current cat is very dog-like (in the sense that he always wants to be around me and is very affectionate), I find dogs to be much more affectionate, loyal, etc. Cats can be a lot of fun, but from my observations they are far more independent than dogs and therefore can often go unnoticed.

I prefer dogs. I have 5 cats in my house, however. I don't mind them though.

I'm definitely a cat person. I just prefer them. A lot people will argue that cats aren't as loyal etc etc

 

That's just how I like them. Dogs require far too much effort, my cats have their own space and will come to me if they want to, they're not just some blindly obedient pet like some dogs can be.

 

 

 

Plus, my sister's cat climbs ladders. So there.

Well I like dogs a bit more, but I can't have a cat anyway. I'm allergic to them. It's a shame, because I do like cats a lot too.

Well, to be honest, I like both. But I like cats more. Don't get me wrong, I've got a great golden retriever, I love him to death, but damn, he is stupid... :|

 

 

 

Cats are generally more interesting, and they have more of a dominant personality. So I guess I'm a cat person. Even though I don't have any cats at the moment. Okay, I should stop typing.

Dog person. I love dogs, they are my favorite pet. (I have one). Besides, i'm allergic to cats...

I prefer cats, but dogs are fine.

Only ever had dogs around my house. I like both cats and dogs, but I don't really plan on having either once I move out.

I was born in the Year of the Dog (Chinese zodiac), but I prefer cats. If either at all.

To the people who have complained about allergies:

 

 

 

Don't lose hope just because you're allergic. You can live perfectly happily with animals despite your allergies.. in fact, I forget the exact statistic, but most people who love animals and have some sort of allergy live with pets anyway. There are many solutions such as: taking simple allergy medication once a day every day (Claritin, Zyrtec, and a few others), rubbing Allergy Relief formulas on your animal's fur once a week, getting allergy shots, or simply cleaning your house more often (leave the windows open to get a good air flow, keep your house clean, vacuum regularly, etc.). The solution that works best for you depends on the animal (how much dander they produce, how often they lick/clean themselves, and sometimes the breed) and the severity of your allergies.

Dogs are fine with me and I like puppies(just not raising them), kittens are fun until they grow up to be cats.

I'm a cat person, but in a few cases, I don't mind dogs. But tbh, the only dogs I like are my friends 2 dogs.

Not all dogs do that ;) Heck, not all dogs even bark. And while my cat doesn't wake me up in the middle of the night by barking, he does like waking me up by sitting on my head or jumping on my desk and knocking something off :lol:

My cats do that ALL THE TIME, and my cats meow in the middle of the night and wake me up so dont use that arguement : But anyway I love cats

I like both, but I'd have to say dogs. You can tell that they actually care about you, and they look funny when they smile.

I want a wolf.

What do cats actually do? Crap in a litterbox and have the run of your house, it seems to me. Give me a dog any day.

 

 

 

Besides, my dog saved my grandma's life by barking up a storm. A cat would probably sit on the dresser while she slowly suffocated.

I have two cats and one dog, so both, I suppose.

Dog for sure. Though I do like a nice cat, unlike my grandma's cat which viciously attacked and mauled my hand when I was 7.
