Do you report players?

Featured Replies

I only report if/when someone is avoiding the censor badly and spamming the clan I'm in.

Yes, I do.

But only if they really deserve it.

Dharoks, emo's ultimate weapon if you know what i'm sayin.
Very nice 10/10

For a second when I was looking at your drop-list picture. Ilooked at the dragon longsword and said "They have a dragon longsword now??" ohh I'm tired :wall:

..., then I noticed a gravestone where our tank was supposed to be and my health was a 1 digit number again.

If it's autotalker or clearly macroing I send report, for something like offensive language - nah, there is already chatfilter and I don't get offended anyways.

I report people only if they're advertising scam websites or if they're bypassing the filter using swear words and using extreme vulgar language. Anything else isn't worth reporting, especially those @@@@@@@@ spam messages in CW.

Yeah, I do. Regardless of what rule they're breaking. They agreed to obey the rules when they joined RuneScape, and it's not my fault if they didn't. And anyway, I don't want my dad to look over my shoulder and see:

"****

****

****

****"

etc spamming my screen.

I report the following people, unless they have absolutely no levels and skills whatsoever:

-People who spam @@@@@@ and similar. Let them burn at the stake, good riddance. I hope you get banned.

-People who spam some RWT website. Nobody advertises the ones that aren't virus-ridden, and should I ever want to RWT for some obscure reason I know where to go, thank you. Just leave.

-People who do stuff and then ask to get banned. Let them. If they stole the account, then that's beyond help already.

-If I'm waiting for materials or something, and I see someone going "Ur mum *****" or similar, to the garbage can with him.

-If someone is a general annoyance to me, and in an idiotic way (not like very newby, those I just shake off somewhere if they don't listen), then I will resort to any kind of wannabe-moddery, even tricking them into breaking the rules, just so that they'll feel it later. Don't lie at the age selection screen next time without the smarts for it.

The rest (pitiful scammers, obvious botters/autoers etc.) I don't bother with.

You're being watched.

I very rarely report anyone, but if they're being a jerk and insulting people for no reason (and I'm sure they're not mucking around) I'll report them for Rule.1 because they're acting like a jackass and I wouldn't be troubled by them again if they got muted.

Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!

No, but I got reported in the Tipit chat which got me muted. It was for a stupid reason but yeah..

Amen to that.

I actually find when there are really annoying people who talk trash to me in a certain world everyday amusing. I'm not going to report them because then I wont have a good laugh which makes this game enjoyable.

Isn't it great when someone comes up to you and says, "Way to steal my mafu**(ing coal you little bit(*)*" Haha, how people can get this mad is beyond me, but nonetheless hilarious.

I wish they had a server where you could play but no censors. Ohhhhh those would be the days.

I don't bother reporting for offensive language since people have obviouslyu been kind to me over the years so I figure I should return the favor (exception being racist remarks and spamming). As for the others, I will report at my own discretion. I don't hunt for rule breakers but when I notice something that indicates teh game would be a truly better place without that someone I will report. I average maybe a report every month or two.

People who annoy me intentually and people trying to scam low-level's "follow for drop party etc"

Bronagh_F1.png

Players who try to steal passwords (including asking for an E-Mail when I don't even know them, sometimes the same with any personal info), item scamming (rarely since it rarely goes on anymore), and the occasional super spammer.

I also report JaGEx staff impersonators (which always fall under password stealers) but I like to go along with them for a time. Example: Once some guy PMed me and started asking if I needed any help and that he would help me because he was a J-Mod, so I told him very politely that I didn't need any help and was all good, then reported him.

[hide=Not to brag, but...]Probably over four years of on and off playing. :D

Only for severe things. I usually only report for item/password scamming, and I reported autoers back in the days of free trade.

i dont at all. im too lazy to even click that extra button while training.

i only report whenever i can be bothered which is like once in a blue moon..

I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.

I usually don't, but sometimes some people just [Cabbage] ...

  • 3 weeks later...

I usually just report scamming. Back in the days when autoers were a dime a dozen, I'd report them as well. Now, I usually ignore rather than report.

Yes, I report. Someone's gotta do it, otherwise RuneScape's community would be that bit more dangerous and distressing. RuneScape is a very big game nowadays and heaps of people play it, so if it's reputation is clean and it's players are safe everyone but the trouble makers will benefit.

But it's not always black and white; not every player is really bad - maybe just a little hormonal, immature or just had a bad day and so taking away a years worth of work for that is just nasty. Offensive language and asking for personal details is probably what I report most carefully for that reason, before I report rule one I read on a bit more of what was said before and after - then I report, otherwise I may send an innocent person to the black hole (out of date, I know, but it's such a cool place!!)

As for other reporting, not many bad rule breakers get past my abuse button!

It's what I do

I only report people when I'm pissed, or they do aqpws or other "drawings"
